Carolina Panthers 2015 Roster Projection
Ricky Spanish replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wouldn't read into it too much, he was probably the BPA on their board at the time so they pulled the trigger. -
It looks like Funchess takes fewer steps and runs the route just as well. That's what makes it look so fluid and smooth I think.

I'd be interested in reading and contributing.

This picture of Stewart... I mean come on... it's perfect:

Winston's work ethic impressing in OTA's

Am I the only one who is concerned with his throwing motion? He has a weird hitch when he threw in college that elongated his delivery, that is a bad issue to have in the pros and can lead to a lot of interceptions. -
Goodell might be caving to the Patriots

Goodell might be caving to the Patriots
Ricky Spanish replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm surprised everyone else is surprised. Goodell got to come out hard and look like he meant business when he knew it would get appealed and reduced. That wasy he can throw his hands up and say "Welp, I tried!" and then move on to bathing in the money the Pats produce for him. Same thing that's going to happen to Hardy. You watch. -
Let's also not forget how Shula went full Shula with his game planning and play calling halfway through the year. Trying to get too cute and having the receivers run elaborate time consuming routes while Cam stood behind broken Turnstiles. When they let Cam run no huddle and an uptempo offense they ran quicker plays that developed sooner. I will always hate Shula for his dumbassery last year. It was like he ignored the personnel he was given and decided to try and make a square peg fit in a round hole no matter what.

Yup, dude just needs to learn to go down when tackled. Yes that extra effort is super J-stew, but when the guy has your leg twisted in the opposite direction while you are standing straight up, just fall over and be done with it, don't be a hero and get that extra inch. We need you for a few more plays.

How many true, lifelong Panthers fans are actually out there?
Ricky Spanish replied to SIGCHI222's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was Born in DC to Washington Redskins fan in late 1987. That season, the skins won the super bowl. My dad called me his lucky charm. Through the first few years of my life, I was raised to root for the Redskins. I know the fight song, I have tiny outfits in my parents attic, and there are pictures of me as an infant decked out in redskins gear. To this day I can't bring myself to hate them like many around here do, simply due to the memories shared with my father. One thing regarding Redskins lore actually stuck with me to this very day, and that was my distaste for the fuging Cowboys. So when we moved to Dallas when I was a young child, I didn't know what to do. I was surrounded by the enemy, and they were winning super bowls. I asked my father, "who beats the cowboys?" because at that point the Redskins weren't doing too hot, and he told me that the Eagles did. I didn't know who the Eagles were, but they had a bitchin bird mascot and they beat the cowboys, so I started to "root" for them. My father thought it was hilarious because it pissed the cowboys fans off. Well one thing you should know about Texas is other than their affinity for the Cowboys, it's a pretty sweet place to live. So when I got the news when I was 8 that we would be moving to North Carolina, I was crushed. Who would I root for? Who would I root against? There was no team in the Carolinas. Well it turns out I was wrong and there was a new expansion team "moving" to the Carolinas along with me. That made things a little better. I got a hoodie of that team, the Carolina Panthers, before we moved. I went to my first game for my 10th Birthday against the Bucs, the first recorded shutout in team history. I've been a fan ever since. In my spare time in Raleigh, I rooted for Maryland while everyone else was a State, UNC, and Duke nuthugger. 2002 was a good year for me, especially because I went to school with Carlos Boozer's younger brother. -
Odell Beckham Jr. On madden 2016 cover
Ricky Spanish replied to Mol3m4n's topic in Carolina Panthers
Pshhh ^ This guy didn't have him on his fantasy team last year. Dude pretty much single handedly won me the title. -
I'll start fearing them when They actually beat some good teams regularly. They had one of the cakest schedules in the league last year. Everyone can talk about how good they look on paper, but more than once these teams "winning" in the offseason fall flat on their face come the regular season. Half their starters are a breeze away from injury or a mean look/drug test away from suspension. They might win the East next year, but their defense isn't built for the playoffs.

If that were to happen and come with 0 off field drama that follows Marshall around then I would be soooooo happy... -

I'd be interested to see his 40 split. Some guys just take longer getting up to speed, but once they get there are a damn freight train. -

Page 1 To the good part that we care about on page 2: Nothing we didn't already know, but it's nice to see we aren't crazy in thinking the guy just needs a little bit of help. Interesting look for all the QBs Talk amongst yourselves.

Hakeem Nicks?

Don't want to wade through the 20+ pages, bu there's no way he gets the full 10 games and the NFL knows it. Strictly a PR move on their part to try and look like they are taking a stand against the DV. He'll get it reduced to 2 games because that's what the punishment should have been when this all started.
-
Yeah but he had been practicing all preseason and was in complete football shape. Next year if he's out that long think more along the lines of Frank Alexander when he comes back.

Quotes from Panthers as Phase One of the offseason begins
Ricky Spanish replied to gettlemanjack's topic in Carolina Panthers
Jesus this thread took a turn for the worse. There's a difference between doing something because you're obligated and doing something in spite of fear and it's not hard to differentiate between the two. It's blatantly obvious Cam doesn't like talking to the media. I wouldn't either if they nitpicked everything I said and tried to spin it into a story for no reason. Either way it's a non issue that Cam didn't speak to any reporters so let's get back to our daily PU thread and Draft speculation. -
The chosen one is returning to the NFL

Agnostic Atheist - Someone who doesn't believe in a god nor do they really care one way or the other Agnostic Theist - Someone who believes there's a god but doesn't really care one way or the other Agnostic - Someone who has no idea if there's a god or not but doesn't really care one way or the other ^simplified and there are other ways to describe it but that's agnosticism in a nutshell. And people hate The Golden Calf of Bristol because when he's around, no other sports related news gets published. It becomes TSPN 24/7 or the Network that covers The Golden Calf of Bristol and some other NFL stuff. No one is that interesting. Hell, I'd get sick of Cam if they talked about him that much. The Golden Calf of Bristol as an analyst on the SEC network was actually really good and I enjoyed him in the booth. He's a charming and personable guy. But he just plain sucks as a QB so no one cares about him on the field, yet all the media does is slurp his dong.
