Scary good if Horn and Jackson can be on the field. If one or both goes down it’s going to get ugly.

I’d go wideout for the same sentiments as above. CB on paper looks scary good and the biggest question mark is can Donte and Jayce stay healthy.

I’m honestly not sure how common it was prior to that year.

This is the same NFL that gave us the Broncos to kick off 2016. Wish I could say I’m shocked but I’m not.

https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2023/05/10/panthers-falcons-nfl-schedule-release-week-1/?mibextid=Zxz2cZ I haven’t seen anything posted on this yet. If this is true the NFL definitely hates us and I hope we stomp TF out of the Falcons for good measure.

That’s a hell of an accusation seeing as how Proehl hasn’t been connected to this organization for quite a while. If you ever watched the kid play you know he has something. He likely won’t make the roster but he isn’t a bum.

Looks like the “Great Value” version of Bryce Young

Not sure why a Pats fan is so concerned about the habits of Panther fans.

If he wasn’t out played by PJ Walker AND Sam Darnold last year I may be inclined to agree. But his play spoke for itself. He’s JAG. Maybe worse.

Post draft... what positions do you think we are weakest at?

It’s not just the types of hit. It’s the fact that his body is built to play QB. A RBs body is built specifically for the position and in context should be more durable. He’s also wearing less padding than the RB. If it was such a simple point why is this concept so complex for you?
-
Our current staff has certainly done their part to ensure Bryce is successful and protected. I’m not bemoaning the pick either. Just thought the OP had a poor comparison. RB to QB is apples to oranges in every sense even if their height and weight are identical.
-
Yes, but the lineman have to decelerate to make a play in most instances. I think you’re just looking to argue and that’s fine. My main point is that comparing QB and RB positions in context of size is apples to oranges. They’re built completely different for different tasks. A RB may be hit more often but the types of hits a RB takes are complete different from that of a QB standing in the pocket. Especially if he’s unsuspecting of the hit.
-
In what universe does a RB intentionally barrel directly into a lineman? They find a gap, run through it, and if a lineman finds his way in that path it’s not the same as both accelerating in a straight line directly at one another. I think you missed the point.

A lesson in physics… Would you rather A) a 300lb lineman tackle you while you’re running as fast as you can opposite their direction or B) get tackled by the same 300lb lineman while you’re feet are planted in the ground with zero momentum on your side?

Blows my mind how quickly everyone went from “Young is too small to QB in the NFL” to “CJ is dumb and we’d be dumb to draft him.” The Koolaid has been deep throated. -
