It sucks to be a Panthers fan, it's worse to be a Bills fan....

I agree with you. If it were 1994. -
What are the chances Burns gets traded before the trade deadline?
WarHeel replied to CamWhoaaCam's topic in Carolina Panthers
Something something …too many Burns threads… something something -
It was implied that I meant guys that teams would be conflicted to keep around if not for the salary cap. You're just being a contrarian at this point.
-
Now you’re comparing apples to oranges. Every dude you just mentioned were JAG QBs with the exception of Cam who was a shell of himself when we neglected to sign him. No one was expecting them to leave here and make noise. And they haven’t. Can’t say the same for Moore, Foreman, CMC, etc.

More cheeks than Rhule and Reich?

Am I being dramatic or just speaking facts? About the only situation I can think of that’s been positive for us is Theilen coming from MN. But they literally have a generational WR in Jefferson so who really cares when you let the old man walk. Sounds like you’re being an organizational apologist. If you enjoy mediocrity that’s fine. But I’m going to call it like it is.
-
There’s a whole lot of “could be” and “should be.” It’s an organization’s job to weigh those odds. Teams that have signed or traded for our former players are batting 1000. That’s the point.

I’m talking about this year. I care more when a guy can be productive with a less than stellar line and weapons around him than a guy who thrives off everyone around him. Sanders did well with a perfect offense around him last year. Big whoop.
-
This is the point. We could have kept him, had way better production than Sanders. Even if he was playing 2nd to Hubbard.
-
We will have to disagree on that one. I don’t feel either Chuba or D’onta are significantly better than the other. But I know they’re better than Sanders. And I know both are cheaper.
-
We didn’t sign Chuba to a long term, expensive contract. It absolutely matters.
-
Do you feel like Miles Sanders would be doing what he’s doing right now?
-
Add D’onta Foreman to the list of folks who (continue to) ball out when they leave Carolina. 3 Tuddys on the day already. Signing Sanders just makes it that more embarrassing.

@CamWhoaaCam just had an aneurysm

Thoughts on Justin Fields as a backup next season?
WarHeel replied to CamWhoaaCam's topic in Carolina Panthers
I have to hand it to you. For someone griping about all the Burns discussions, this topic is definitely a fresh one. But holy hell dude. You are aware Fields has missed time due to injury this year, right? -
El oh el

My guy…pick your battles. We’ve all seen your material.
-
Agreed. And Luvu if he doesn’t break the bank. He’s shown out the last 2 years.

It’s evident we have many holes to fill and the ball was dropped in management of trade requests prior to the draft. To think we could have had Burns for 2 1st rounders and we didn’t jump on it makes me sick to my stomach. We have no 1st round pick in 2024. We have traded away our two best offensive weapons in Christian and DJ. Currently our best performer is a guy who was really brought in with the intention of a veteran presence and sure hands for short yardage and 3rd down situations. I’ve seen speculation of different players on the defense that could be traded such as Chinn, Horn, Jackson, but in reality teams are not necessarily going to come knocking for guys that A) have injury history or B) aren’t going to be able to contribute for the next 4-5 weeks. Burns makes the most sense to deal, even now retrospectively. That being said, what’s the lowest price you take for Burns? One first round pick? Two first rounders? Combo of a 1st and higher round pick? Straight up player swap? What is even realistic at this point now that our leverage has taken a huge hit? Will they even trade Burns at this point? Thoughts?

You’re asking the important questions
-
History says hell no. Even if they did they’d get absolutely obliterated by teams in the post season. Imagine this team playing the Eagles, SanFran, Detroit again, or even Dallas.
-
Beat me to it. Turnovers in particular have killed any momentum and set our defense up for near impossible situations.

Is it even the Huddle if BigKat isn’t dropping a receipt of a big waste of money just to show he has it?
