  1. Now name the tens of thousands drafted around them.
  2. I’m fine with it, because I know we’re not keeping all of these picks.
  3. You ever wonder why all teams don’t just trade back four times?
  4. Yeah, but you have to understand at this point in the draft you’re generally not selecting NFL level players.
  5. Yeah, but until they do our super fans are going to swear it’s going to be picks for players that can make the roster.
  6. I mean if you want to argue that late round picks are better than low level veterans.
  7. No you cannot. Any veteran will be much better.
  8. For those wondering why fans are skeptical of collecting this many late round picks. They are skeptical because there’s no way to keep this many rookies on a roster or practice squad without getting picked clean. Also, the rookies selected this late generally will not be NFL level players and even low talent veterans will be better to fill the roster with. It’s too many rookies to try and develop. They will need to trade these picks for a veteran or for picks next year.
  9. Which I've never stated even once. He's not a bad selection, he's just a selection in our most stacked position on the team, will probably take a while to develop, and thus is not what most would consider a "need".
  10. He could be better than David, but receiver like defensive back can take time to develop. He's more talented for certain, but it might take some time to really get him up to speed.
  11. We have two great receivers, and reliable one added through free agency, and a reliable receiving runningback. We didn't make this pick for this season, which you implied. He's a developmental player that will hopefully pay off. As I said I love the player, but he wasn't a need.
  12. We have two great one, and one with good production in his career at third. We also have a running back that take a huge load off the receivers.
  13. Well then state that please. Adding a player to the most stacked position on a team isn't a "filling a need", it's stacking a group to the point that losing players an entire year later will be okay.
  14. Listen, I love the player we picked, I said it earlier, but don't pretend it's a need. Receiver is arguably the most stacked position group on the team, and there's no reason to assume we're not going to either resign our receivers next off-season, or find one in free agency — again next off-season.
  15. Okay, just checking. You think that adding a player to the most stacked position group qualifies as "filling a need", and that getting ahead of free agency a year from now is apart of filling that need.
  16. Is receiver really a need? Or is it a "need" a year from now.
  17. This draft was definitely loaded with quarterback prospects.
  18. So if they don't it's not an A+ for you? So you're drawing the line at third round talent?
  19. I think we just have to accept that the Seahawks mentality of next man up on the offensive line was brought to Carolina.
  20. Quarterback and offensive line, and then defensive line are the engine and breaks. Though that's just my opinion.
