I would take Sam Howell or Malik Willis in the draft. The Panthers have to take a shot sometime. If it doesn't work out we'll probably be right back at the top of the draft next year anyway. You don't have to promise the franchise to a drafted quarterback. You can use the Cardinals as an example, or hell the 2010 Panthers after bottoming out with Clausen we didn't hesitate to draft Cam, even though quite a few commentators and fans felt it was more 'level headed' to stick with him. As for Kenny Pickett, I don't see it. I've watched several game cutups, and he doesn't look the part to me. Even in highlights I'm watching a guy hold onto the ball forever, just to throw a weak ball to wide open receiver. From what I've seen with Sam and Malik, especially Sam, they're doing more with a lot less. I'm not an evulator, but I had Teddy and Sam pegged after watching what I could find. It surprised me the front office didn't.

I have no faith in anyone in this organization, including Scott Fitterer.

He's just not a natural receiver.

I'm not arguing for Anderson to remain on the roster. I said he shouldn't have been extended, and he should be traded if possible. I'm not making anything up. D.J. Moore is having a regression. You're not looking at total yards for D.J. — including his rushing yards. The last several weeks have been trending down with Sam. His catch rate is falling. Earlier in the season he had consistently over 10 targets a game with production, but that's been falling dramatically with Sam's mental decline, and the offensive game plan changing to hide his ineptness. Sam is statistically the worst quarterback in the NFL. -

Bridgewater did get hurt, and played through injury last season in the games he didn't miss. It wasn't perfect, but Anderson had his best year. -

He's on pace for his worst year in the NFL, even with an extra game. Even with Walker, and a broken Bridgewater he played fine at the end of last season. His production wasn't like early in the season when Teddy was staring him down, but it was still good for a number two. Sam Darnold is done. He's doing so bad that even D.J. was on target for by far his worst statistical season. The reason is Sam. I read a tweet earlier that indicated that the last two games of Sam Darnold were statistically the worst in the NFL, ever. Anderson has done well overall throughout his career. He'll be in the NFL for quite a few more years. -

He shouldn't have been extended. It was a bad move. However, I have a feeling we'll be able to up his production and he'll be tradeable by the end of the year. -

I'll take a couple Super Bowl shots over whatever-the-fug path we were just on. -

At least with Anderson you had a proven production. I think there's a good shot he'll play much better the rest of the season. In which case the Panthers can deal him for draft picks that they desperately need. I honestly feel bad for Anderson. He had his early career derailed by Sam Darnold. So much so he had to come to Carolina on a prove-it deal. He played well with Bridgewater, earning a contract extension, but then the same man that derailed his career early does it once again. Imagine losing potentially tens of millions of dollars because of one man. Him telling off Darnold on the sideline made complete sense to me. -
Another post poo on, but was completely sound.

Just so we're all clear. Sam Darnold, by most metrics, was the worst quarterback in the NFL through his first three seasons. Statistically he's only deteriorated even more throughout the current season. He's not worth a roster spot. -
If this FO was serious about winning they would bring back Cam

Just like normal, anyone with a differing opinion — though certainly based in reality — is poo and mocked by the usual suspects. Cam was the best option so Tepper made the move. -

Possible. Though in general it also means that it’s very difficult this year to scout.
-
The stats over a decade. It takes a decade worth of fourth round picks to hit that statistic. This is basic math. Look up the by year hit rate.
-
I think our fans don’t understand basic math.

Yeah, but 4th rounders over a decade of picks.
