  1. Shh, shh. No talk about team who tanked and profit.
  2. Kind of feel bad for the ol' buddy missing that kick. Going to be hard for him.
  3. What's the chance we move Moore or Burns now? I feel like this team is in a weird place, they're almost too good to lose.
  4. I don't know about wanting to lose, but if we win I just can't see it being a great season.
  5. Even if we win this it's going to be a lose. How the fug are we going to do anything in the playoffs.
  6. Hurney first round magic, I guess.
  7. The Panthers use to be and up and down team with Super Bowl shots. We're building a team that's happy with making the playoffs now. That's how low the bar has gone, that making the playoffs feels like a win.
  8. We're stuck in quarterback purgatory now. It's also looking like Wilks will by default be the guy. I like Wilks, but this just feels like we're building the ultimate 8-9 team.
  9. Definitely agree. We'll have plenty of picks to take a good shot at least.
  10. That's weird, because a lot of people have the impression they finally tanked after treading water for years with a mediocre quarterback.
  11. Didn't the Bengals tank?
  12. So, which is it then? Are the Panthers building to win mid-season, as in now, or is that something they need to do in the off-season?
  13. We've been 'building a culture' for years now. It adds up to 5 wins.
  14. It honestly just makes me sad. This sport was made for grass.
  15. The Lions also have a difficult schedule. We're going to have a hard time finding a quarterback this off-season that doesn't require making a huge trade.
  16. He figured out that a 2nd, a 4th, and a 6th was worth it for Darnold. Along with a contract extension. Personally, I think I would have had more spine if I was in his position. Would you really go along with such poor decision making? I would rather risk the ire of a coach, then have that on my resume.
  17. I would also like to add that I think it will become much harder in the near future. Quite a lot of legends are ending their careers currently.
  18. Okay, which was the first real tank then? Because from memory they were on the 5 win treadmill that we're not on for the better part of the past decade.
  19. They tanked, trading Jamal Adams and it's paying off. After years of mediocrity, they finally got out of it.
  20. Why the hell would he do that? This is perfect passive income. This place runs itself, with minimal upkeep. You have volunteers to be janitors, and we sure as fug have enough controversial takes, threads, to keep people clicking.
  21. Those aren't mutually exclusive. We're talking about this year. Though, I feel you're putting a lot of faith in the guys that looked at Sam Darnold, and thought he was not only worth being handed the starting job, but also worth a contract extension, and the cost of our 2nd, 4th, and 6th round picks. If the Panthers make it out of this year picking out of the top 10 then I wouldn't be surprised if we trade multiple first rounders to move up for a quarterback. They've thrown everything else at the wall, and nothing has stuck. I see Fitterer as a gambler, and I think he would definitely be inclined to make that decision.
  22. Yeah, it's scouting. But it's impossible to scout a player that isn't available at your selection.
  23. The weird anecdotes of teams that draft a quarterback high and miss are really disingenuous. Of course, teams draft busts, it happens, and as we all know the further you're pushed down the draft board the less likely you'll be able to make the correct choice.
