  1. He reminds me of Sam Darnold too. I don't look at his supporting cast, or stats, or anything. I just purely look at the player, and watching Levis you'll see him walk into sacks, fail to climb the pocket, lock on to his first read (and often throw it to them no matter what), and then hesitate on throws. He looks mentally shaky when everything isn't going his way.
  2. Sure, but why make definitive statements on it? It doesn't help franchises to leak their intentions. These are also very concrete statements regarding interest being leaked. There's not a lot of talk about money, it's more or less that teams are stating they have zero interest in acquiring him.
  3. It's smokescreen season, except when it comes to Lamar Jackson apparently. Teams are making strong statements they are not interested in him. Odd given how this part of the offseason is usually performative.
  4. It's now what, six teams to make a statement that they don't want Jackson? That's really odd. This is smokescreen season and throwing off other teams as to what you plan to do during the off-season is half the game. It's in teams' interest to obscure what they're doing, often leaking false information, to put pressure on other franchises. However, it seems that teams are definitely making statements one by one of their intent.
  5. Starting to feel like the owners are talking behind the scenes, not wanting to set another precedent like Watson's contract. It's odd that no one has reportedly even expressed interest in making some type of offer.
  6. Their roster is barren. Stacking it with overpriced free agents coming to town for a payday, and not to win, won't matter without a quarterback. They'll have to learn the hard way.
  7. I wonder why Atlanta isn't interested? The city would riot if he was brought to town.
  8. Probably. It also pressures Carolina's front office to trade up to first overall even more. All it takes is two teams to say 'no' at this point for the Panthers to punting another year at quarterback.
  9. Richardson can also process what's in front of him. Something that Willis couldn't do from the games I watched.
  10. Richardson had a terrible team around him. Walk on receivers with a defensive tackle converted tight end. Levi's had years to figure it out and regressed. His decision making and processing was poor, reminding me so much of Sam Darnold. If he wasn't athletic, he wouldn't be considered a first round pick.
  11. I doubt the Bears would want to go into free agency without trading the pick first. It could change how they approach free agents entirely.
  12. Stats are incredibly misleading from college quarterbacks. They're nothing alike.
  13. I mean, Willis was a good athlete with very ugly tape against joke teams. Richardson is a top .01% athlete that shows some elite traits on tape against decent teams. It's really a world of difference. I never liked Willis after watching his games. He couldn't process the field at all.
  14. It's a problem. Young being too small, he'll need an amazing offensive line to keep him clean. Then we have Stroud, who has size, but overall doesn't look great under pressure, with the exception of the Peach Bowl.
  15. Even a few days ago Matt Miller was saying he get the sense the Panthers were "all in" on Richardson. I don't really believe it, but it's not like isn't contradicting reports.
  16. It's plain to see when I watch his games. He's late on throws, doesn't see his guys or the other teams, and gets flustered. It's very similar to Darnold's problems. On the other hand, Richardson is surprisingly quick with his reads and can navigate difficult situations well. His biggest problem is his mechanics which lead to inaccuracy. His decision making was generally good and improved from game to game. I've watched every game that I can find from Levis and Richardson at this point, and if the Panthers have to choose between them I would much rather they go with Richardson. That is, right now Richardson is still behind Stroud and even Young for me. Stroud isn't flashy, but he's a technician that can get it done. Young is tiny, but oh my God is he a gamer when you watch him.
  17. That's the main problem from Levis. He processes the field poorly and doesn't see receivers and often linebackers that whistling towards him. It's why Richardson is getting more points for his game tape than many people think, because he navigates the pocket extremely well, and can see the field.
  18. Raiders might be the team to get the first overall pick, considering the division they're in.
