  1. If they take a quarterback, and he busts, just trade him for picks then try again. It seems to work for other teams.
  2. One thing you have to remember that even if we draft a bust at quarterback it doesn't mean they'll have no value. Rosen, and Darnold are two examples of absolute busts, but being an asset even after it was plain to see.
  3. That's an odd article to write, it's 2022. Why not do a 2021 redraft or 2020? We have a new GM and coach.
  4. David Tepper is a dickhead is why. Did you guys not see that stupid fuging Wolf of Wallstreet chest thump that he tried to get the stadium to do? What an absolute moronic thing to emulate. The movie was essentially about nothing more than greed, debauchery, and for some reason guys are drawn to it, trying to become the conman it's based on. Stupid.
  5. I personally think they have to hit on quarterback to have any relevance in the NFL, which has been true for the last couple decades. Selecting a tackle would mean another year without taking a shot at a quarterback, but they'll have potentially a great tackle and corner. I guess the Panthers are looking for their own Joe Thomas and Hayden combo.
  6. It doesn't matter who might be good or bad, Darnold is horrible, and we have an entire front office that has bet their careers on him. They're going to make a move at quarterback somehow.
  7. The more I've watched Pickett, the more I'm concluding his arm problems have a lot to do with mechanics. He far too often gets bouncy, and throws off his back foot or throws on the run. When he sets his feet and stands tall in the pocket he can send it. He doesn't have an elite arm by any means, but I wouldn't say it's weak either.
  8. C) Trade picks next year to acquire more during this draft. They're going to try to save their jobs.
  9. If he's the best draft day trader, then he has to also be one of the worst off and in-season traders as well. The Sam Darnold trade.
  10. Doubt it, unless they're trading for Baker Mayfield. They're not going to put their careers on the line with Sam Darnold again.
  11. It's kind of just the predicament he's in. I guess the fallback would be trading for Baker Mayfield.
  12. Rhule needs a quarterback to win. It's a very realistic scenario.
  13. It would be amazing if we somehow took a shot at quarterback while also getting a top tackle prospect. I've gone gray since the Panthers last took a serious tackle prospect.
  14. Oh, that's interesting. It may very well happen.
  15. Exactly. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Rhule pushes for a trade up to secure Pickett. It's who they need to make the offense work this year.
  16. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've watched a everything I could find a Pickett at this point, and I think he could develop into something. Originally, I really hated the idea of drafting Pickett (mainly because of my bias for big arm quarterbacks), but after watching so many games it's plain to see why he's rated the best quarterback in this draft class. His arm isn't elite, but he's a great athlete, accurate thrower, sees the field, and has a very focused demeanor. The draft is always a gamble, and I'm personally for taking as many shots as possible. If the Panthers draft him and he then plays poorly I think they should just go back to the well and try again. It worked for the Panthers in 2011, and several teams since. I don't think adding another "piece" this year is going to move the needle, and with the positive moves made this off-season I feel as if we're not going to be drafting this high again (especially with our cratering division).
  17. I noticed it immediately. Definitely adding points.
  18. If you guys want a real look at the quarterbacks you can often just search YouTube for sasy "Malik Willis vs" and find cuts of every snap by the quarterback each game. I've watched a lot of Willis the last week, and it's kind of been disappointing. Don't get me wrong he's an amazing scrambler, runner, and has a really strong arm. However, he doesn't seem to have the field vision you need to be an NFL quarterback. He misses open options, and sometimes just doesn't see the defenders. Sometimes his accuracy reminds me of PJ Walker's bullets, but he has much better long ball accuracy which makes him intriguing. Out of the two quarterbacks I think I would take Pickett and hope he develops into a classic pocket passer. He'll have to learn to navigate the pocket much better instead of scrambling out like he does far too often (probably the biggest knock that I've seen). Sam Howell is also interesting, and I feel after watching so many of his games he's being underrated.
  19. Don't forget the Waddle prediction. So it's Mac, then Waddle, then maybe Horn (like all the rest of the media was idicating for weeks).
  20. I just have to say that's astounding. You actually limped into this with that as a "source". A phrase that's repeated year in and out by scouts, managers, commentators. Every single draft we hear the phrase "first round talent", often a hundred times just from the commentary of the second round. This is so disgusing that you're trying to argue this as a source. No wonder you're so far off the mark. You're reading tea leaves, and using it as facts.
