  1. The front office is already tanking. The coach and players are of course going to shoot for the moon. That moon might be a 6 win, one and done in the playoffs season however.
  2. Every year, same argument. Here's the same reply: No matter what anecdotes you have it doesn't change the fact that mathematically having a higher pick gives you more of a chance to make the correct selection.
  3. PJ can sling it. It's sad he had so many bums with headcases in front of him.
  4. Imagine winning the division with 6 wins.
  5. That's an either-or scenario though. This is talking about a crowd that thinks it doesn't matter at all.
  6. Okay. So, no implications. We're just in here to talk about how we're a single game out.
  7. And I obviously wasn't implying we didn't have adequate quarterback play of a singular game.
  8. That's one way to look at it. Another is fans are tired of the perpetual 5 win, no quarterback treadmill.
  9. Production of running backs can always be replaced. It's just how it is.
  10. Coaches, and players don't tank, but front offices do.
  11. Yeah, but they'll disappear the second we're eliminated, and nowhere to be found until preseason next year when they're thumping their chests.
  12. I want a link to the posts from the 'crowd' that stated this. Like, who the fug would ever say that?
  13. I feel like this happens every year the last five or so. Oh, we fuging suck, we need quarterback to consistently win in this league. We win a game. Oh, we can make a push, let's go PAN-THERS! Oh poo, we've won five games again.
  14. You're not serious, right? If so, please tell me what position in all of sports you think is the most important.
  15. The quarterback purgatory is real, and it looks like 5 wins.
  16. Neither are the Panthers without a quarterback. You can't win consistently without one.
  17. It looks like 5 wins is back on the table. Do not be shocked if they move Burns now, especially if the Eagles are involved.
  18. The only way I would consider two firsts is if it was the Saints pick the Eagles own, and another first. Otherwise, I think it's going to be a wash with who we would draft with those picks. It would help secure the first overall pick, but I'm not certain we need any more help with that. So, I don't think it would be worth trading Burns. Realistically, it will be hard to find a replacement via the draft. It could happen in free agency but will cost a huge premium unless the team can turn it around in a year to start luring in free agents that want to be on a competitive team. However, it's possible the team thinks we still could win too many games this year, and if that's the case they'll definitely try and move Burns. Without him the defensive line will be completely inept, with limited pressure.
  19. Yeah, and the core of that team went to the Super Bowl, an NFC Championship, and almost made another one if Brandon LaFell wasn't the soft, brick hands, receiver that he was. Right now this team needs to get a quarterback to even be in contention of win our sorry division. We're in a much bigger hole.
  20. And when the cap goes down? Again, who really cares. The point is this team is cap strapped, and without players at key positions. Including the most important position on the team. We're the worst team in the league, with a cap mess, to the point of trading players, and we were recently without many draft choices.
