    If we get Young would be extremely lucky as this point. If it happens, we should draft another tight end and interior lineman. No more of this bullshit of building the defense first and letting the quarterback do it all on his own.

    A quarterback is the only way you can have enough stability to build anything. Ron Rivera was Cam Newton away from being fired at the beginning of his third year.

    Going to have to move another player by tomorrow, unfortunately. Since Matt Rhule got the boot the team has had a major morale boost, and wants to be competitive.

    I like Wilks, I really do, but I feel like we're walking into another Ron Rivera, but without a Cam Newton.

    Okay, seriously, I think they actually trade someone tomorrow. It might not be Moore or Burns, but I think they know this team isn't winning seriously but are still playing hard. A recipe that the Panthers have had going an unfortunate number of times.

    What's the chance we move Moore or Burns now? I feel like this team is in a weird place, they're almost too good to lose.

    I don't know about wanting to lose, but if we win I just can't see it being a great season.

    Even if we win this it's going to be a lose. How the fug are we going to do anything in the playoffs.

    The Panthers use to be and up and down team with Super Bowl shots. We're building a team that's happy with making the playoffs now. That's how low the bar has gone, that making the playoffs feels like a win.

    We're stuck in quarterback purgatory now. It's also looking like Wilks will by default be the guy. I like Wilks, but this just feels like we're building the ultimate 8-9 team.

    That's weird, because a lot of people have the impression they finally tanked after treading water for years with a mediocre quarterback.

    So, which is it then? Are the Panthers building to win mid-season, as in now, or is that something they need to do in the off-season?

    We've been 'building a culture' for years now. It adds up to 5 wins.

    It honestly just makes me sad. This sport was made for grass.

    We're also years into high draft picks.

    The Lions also have a difficult schedule. We're going to have a hard time finding a quarterback this off-season that doesn't require making a huge trade.
