  1. I don't think any mid-tier guys are coming to Carolina unless you pay them top-tier money. Why would they? Oh, here's my shot at improving my career. Let me just go down to Carolina where the owner is a known fool, the GM is a tool, and the coach is an unknown. Sure, you won't have anyone around you that's talented, so it may get a starting roster spot. But will that really help your career when the team wins 0-4 games each season?
  2. Start looking into quarterbacks for 2026-2027 drafts. The Panthers will be picking at the top of both of them, most likely. I don't know if Bryce can develop, but I doubt it now that this team has so little talent.
  3. It might be a better use of fans time to project who's going to be the quarterback the Panthers take in 2026-2027. This team, unless Bryce becomes an All-Pro or somehow they pull off a Seahawks, turn around draft (no shot), is going to be a perennial loser. There's no one left in the building with talent and not much on the roster worth trying to develop.
  4. This team has been a zombie for the last 5 years. Now it's dead and buried. This isn't some hole you can get out of in any near future without Bryce Young becoming an All-Pro. We're going to have another 3-5 years of guaranteed losing seasons if Bryce doesn't pan out. The talent is not there and it's not going to come here for whatever overpay we offer. Just like I said years ago, cap space doesn't win games. If you look at teams with the most cap space every year two things become apparent. One, they don't have much talent to pay, and two they are usually in the bottom five teams in the league.
  5. Oh no, they just made a bet on a player after a down year on a 2 win team? Oh shucks, they really got swindled there. HEY GUYS, WHO WE OVERPAYING WITH THAT 30 MILLION? Another guard for Brycey? That 2nd and 5th going to bust like they mostly do, because that's how statistics work.
  6. ZERO SHOT anyone wants to come to Carolina that isn't just in it for the bag, ZERO. Who the fug is going to come to the worst team in the league that has just jettisoned some of their best players? That only players that will are in it just for a payday, and nothing else. All this means is the Panthers are going to be overpaying random free agents that couldn't get a deal with a competitive team. We're going to be overpaying players other teams don't want to pay. That's all this means. WE'RE THE fuging BROWNS, WE'RE THE fuging BROWNS, WE'RE THE fuging BROWNS.
  7. Brothers, I can't even, this fuging team is so poorly managed. Please God let me stop caring about football. I need release.
  8. DAN IF YOU'RE READING THIS, STOP READING THIS, THIS PLACE IS A fuging CLOWN CIRCUS. BRIAN BURNS WAS WORTH SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT BULLSHIT TRADE PACKAGE.
  9. Never hire anyone that posts on this fuging forum again. Scout, GM, or otherwise. Anyone that reads and posts here at any point in their lives is most likely too susceptible to group think. Holy poo they just gave Burns away.
  10. I can't wait to see the faces of fans when the Panthers have a collective 17 sacks next year with 17 losses. Oh, and it's projected to be a trash quarterback draft. The first overall next year, most likely, won't be coveted.
  11. This team is tanking, you can't tell me otherwise. A 2nd and 5th is nothing. If you think Brian Burns for a 2nd and 5th and cap space is worth the trade then you're completely lost in the sauce. Go look at the Panthers history of 2nd and 5th round picks and tell me this team is going to find anything with them. This cap space will go to overpaying another free agent that's looking for the bag first, a winning franchise second.
  12. Garbage, from top to bottom. David Tepper and his circus of fugups have absolutely tanked this franchise.
  13. One of the only guys on the roster that wasn't fuging trash.
  14. Man, fug this team.
  15. This team has made every move so far as to tank. If they think they can play hardball with the few players on the team that have any talent they're wrong. The Panthers are the new bottom feeders, the new Browns, the worst team in the NFL. The only way they can get out of this position now is to somehow become a good scouting team. It's bleak. This franchise has nothing to offer free agents but overpay to possibly torpedo their career.
  16. It's just one more hole created. The Panthers have a history with butterfinger bottom-of-the-barrel returners.
  17. I mean, the cap is massive these days. It's a couple million more than veteran minimum. The Panthers will have to pay someone to do the job. That will either come from a draft pick, an unknown, or a free agent that for some reason actually wants to play for the worst team in the league. I expect any free agents brought in will have to be overpaid and overpromised.
  18. Yeah, almost zero chance this team is getting a comp pick this year or the next few. You have to have a wealth of talent to acquire compensation picks, and the Panthers have a dearth.
  19. I don't really get this. He was one of the only guys that seemed to give a fug. Now the Panthers have yet another roster hole and have to find a new returner. It's easy to think about primary returners as easily replaceable, but I've seen one too many times over the years the Panthers trot out JAGs that end up being a net-negative in the return game. Yeah, you can find a returner at the end of the draft, but it's still a draft pick used, and as the Panthers have shown time and time again it's not a guaranteed position to draft. My growing sentiment is that next year, without major hits in free agency and the draft, is going to be one of the least competitive Panthers teams assembled. It just feels like this team is on the Browns franchise trajectory.
  20. It won't shock me if our corners this season are mainly UDFA guys. This team could easily have a zero-win season. poo.
  21. He was really bad last year. Didn't really do anything well. I think the Panthers should focus on bringing in players that can block. Tight ends and running backs, as currently, no one in the running back room even seems to understand their blocking assignments, and even when they do they get bulldozed over.
  22. This is going to be a rough year. Unless a miracle off-season happens, or Bryce turns into a super star, this team does not look like it will be competing for more than 5 wins. It would not shock me if the Panthers are picking first overall again next year.
  23. This draft is loaded with X receivers. Normally I wouldn't advocate drafting one in the second round as the Panthers historically have been horrible at evaluating receiver talent, but wow there's a so much talent this year.
