  1. Simping for a Billionaire that destroyed the Panthers franchise. How brave.
  2. Can't wait to see what Tepper's front office and scouts have cooking.
  3. Maybe we can draft a new Yetur or Kony Ealy with the shiny new second round pick we acquired.
  4. Luvu and Burns accounted for most of the Panthers pass rush outside of Brown. Yetur wasn't good, but he was supplemental and somewhat developing. I expect Brown to look very poor next year and Panthers fans calling to trade him instead of pay him.
  5. Never liked him, never liked the pick, but got damn this isn't good after Burns was shipped off. This might be an all-time awful pass rush.
  6. It's pure copium. The Panthers were obviously trying to resign Burns but he decided he wanted out.
  7. And it doesn't move the needle. Even if Bryce has all day to throw, which this guard doesn't guarantee as the Panthers are still weak at Left Tackle, Left Guard, and Center, he needs players to throw to and an offensive system that can score points in bunches to overcome a massive deficit on defense. Which is historically not something you see often.
  8. *INHALES* Surely there are some gem free agents just itching to sign with a 2-15 team that jettisoned the remaining talent.
  9. *INHALES* Surely losing some of the best players on the team will make it better. *INHALES* The Panthers have a 'process'. *INHALES* Surely the Panthers will be able to scout young talent that will surprise us next season.
  10. You're right to feel this way. Anyone not is either too young to understand the league or huffing serious copium.
  11. Okay, give me the numbers. This is going to blow your mind. Anyone coming to the Panthers will have to be massively overpaid, or a reclamation project.
  12. Please someone, anyone, give me free agent names you want the Panthers to target and sign with the Burns money. PLEASE, ANYONE? No? No one going to throw out some names and numbers?
  13. Really? Who, I want names, as this seems to be the group-think thought process. Who are the Panthers targeting to replace Burns? How much do you think the contract will be? Reality is going to hit some of you hard this season. The cap space is going to disappear over-paying free agents to prop-up Bryce and the team as a whole is going to flounder.
  14. This team won't win anything this decade.
  15. It's going to fun watching the Panthers the next few seasons. How many guys you think we go through to find another Burns? I'm guessing about 8, in form of draft picks and bad free agent signings. Here's to a team total 17 sacks next season, and probably the season after.
  16. This trade is going to look like ass in a few years and the squad on this forum cheerleading it will be on their fifth ALT pretending like it never happened.
  17. Really, name them. I want to see if you're correct and they come to Carolina for anything short of a massive overpay.
  18. You guys are suffering from serious recency bias and group think. The league can see that Burns is still talented. A down year, on a train wreck of team that's been yanking him around with trades and contract negotiations. No poo he didn't produce on a team that almost never had a lead in a game. If Burns is even mediocre good then his contract is worth it. I don't know how to explain this to some of y'all but pass-rushers are a premium position, that you need to get to a Super Bowl. I cannot think of team that made it there that didn't have a pass-rush. I mean, hell, just use your brains and tell me what years the Panthers were at their best, and then tell me what their pass-rush looked like. Having JAGs and late round picks playing defensive end means you're not a winning team. Here's to all the 2nd round defensive end busts the Panthers have drafted.
  19. I don't think any mid-tier guys are coming to Carolina unless you pay them top-tier money. Why would they? Oh, here's my shot at improving my career. Let me just go down to Carolina where the owner is a known fool, the GM is a tool, and the coach is an unknown. Sure, you won't have anyone around you that's talented, so it may get a starting roster spot. But will that really help your career when the team wins 0-4 games each season?
  20. Start looking into quarterbacks for 2026-2027 drafts. The Panthers will be picking at the top of both of them, most likely. I don't know if Bryce can develop, but I doubt it now that this team has so little talent.
  21. It might be a better use of fans time to project who's going to be the quarterback the Panthers take in 2026-2027. This team, unless Bryce becomes an All-Pro or somehow they pull off a Seahawks, turn around draft (no shot), is going to be a perennial loser. There's no one left in the building with talent and not much on the roster worth trying to develop.
  22. This team has been a zombie for the last 5 years. Now it's dead and buried. This isn't some hole you can get out of in any near future without Bryce Young becoming an All-Pro. We're going to have another 3-5 years of guaranteed losing seasons if Bryce doesn't pan out. The talent is not there and it's not going to come here for whatever overpay we offer. Just like I said years ago, cap space doesn't win games. If you look at teams with the most cap space every year two things become apparent. One, they don't have much talent to pay, and two they are usually in the bottom five teams in the league.
