    You guys need to adjust your expectations. DJ Moore’s 5th year option is 11 mil. Keenan Allen is making 20. DJ will be up there.

    I think the thinking is this. They don’t want him in there without the starting offensive line and WR. However, we are so thin at Oline (and Robbie is a little banged up) that they don’t want to risk those guys being out for long. I do suspect Darnold is still struggling a bit though based on what I heard from camp last week.

    No excuses for Slye. Darnold was a calculated risk from day one. Young first round talent that may be salvageable. They tried to get better options but those all fell through. He is, and always was, Plan D. The only valid criticism is the decision to pass on Fields. We’ll see how that plays out in 10 weeks or so.

    Robby will get a 2-3 year mid-tier deal with a voidable 3rd. DJ will get a deal that’s cheap in the beginning but balloons out after Robby’s contract.

    The bears O line is completely collapsing on every play. Hard to get a decent assessment of Fields. He looks pretty calm under fire though.

    The Jets are 100% the new browns. Maybe we’re just the new Bucs(before Brady)?

    The draft is a crapshoot. Our success (if it turns out that way) will prob have as much to do with the volume of picks we had as it does our ability to evaluate. Hurn always put his eggs in 3-4 picks. Not great odds of success.

    We haven’t even finalized the starting O-line yet. Don’t put him back there until we at least know the best group to protect him.

    Good to know! Her test only took 12 hours. Negative.

    Sucks. Wife is mildly sick right now downstairs. Test results come back in a few days. At the very least, I fully expect exposure within 3 weeks of my daughter starting school. Kids are super-duper-spreaders.

    The area around uncc honestly isn’t great, but he’ll be fine. Typical college area stuff. I’m sure he’ll spend his time on campus or taking the light rail uptown. As for food, nothing special up that way really. I grab dinner around there every Thursday night. Lots of ‘typical’ places right by campus to choose from. Just pull up your google map.

    We did attend. Just wasn’t Rhule and Brady. Also, the 49ers trade went down during his first pro day and everyone pretty much knew what was going to happen.
