Same thing happened to Watson. He fell to 12 because there was just so much familiarity with him that people talked themselves out of it. Peyton was talking up the fact that NO was going to draft Mahomes but he passed on Watson and went with Lattimore.

No one is getting excited for a 27 yr old RB who asked to be traded. Hes going to fall off in two to three years.

In my mind, by the time this team is really competitive CMC’s prime will be gone. We also needed picks to make this coaching job attractive.
