Exactly why is the mask thing such a big deal? It’s just a really minor inconvenience at best. If it helps, why not do it? Countries that wear masks have much lower cases of Covid than we do.

A mask is more for protecting other people from you than to protect you from others. Put a mask around the nozzle of fabreeze and spray and get back to me. Even if the spray gets through, the amount and velocity is greatly reduced. A physician assistant friend of mine gave me this example. Imagine two kids with no pants on. If one kid pees they both get wet. If one kid pees and the other kid has pants, the other kid kinda gets wet. If they both have pants on, only the kid who pees gets wet.

My Dad is like that. Despite the fact that he struggled in school, didn’t get into college, has fallen for multiple scams throughout his life, he still firmly believes he is smarter than everyone and knows how to vet information. The guy loves some conspiracies. He texts me a new one every week.

You should get an updated chart. TB kills about 4K daily. Covid is now killing 5k daily. At one point a few weeks ago it was close to 7k.

I saw something similar. Basically, Fox polled republicans and found people could be grouped in 3 distinct ways. They then created 3 prime time shows that appealed to each of those groups. Their 9pm show appeals to the largest of the 3 groups. I see the same thing on msnbc now.

That’s a good point about contact tracing. I know Florida is understaffed in that area, but I guess they have enough to partly drive these numbers.
