  1. This is a team of bad draft picks and other team’s discarded jags. To be a good team, we would need to upgrade nearly every starting player. DB can stay.
  2. Sounds like they haven’t made the playbook yet. Waiting to see what everyone does best. Interesting. And as the coaching staff gets to know Young better, that rhythm will adjust how they build a playbook and eventually, call games. "We're going to fit this offense to Bryce," Carroll promised. "Right now we're in the process of teaching all of our concepts still. As we get closer through training camp and then finally in the season, we'll finally get to our real offense and what we're going to be with Bryce, and he'll have input at times on certain things that he likes. And we'll try to make the best out of what we have here and try to be as hard to stop on offense as possible."
  3. He went to a far better situation. He should be happy.
  4. It’s a city only fund. The state just mandates that cities use that tax money on tourism related projects.
  5. The deal is already done. I don’t love it, but at least he’s paying over 50% and the public money comes from hotel taxes which can’t be used for any other purpose. I’d still prefer the tourism tax money be used for other non-sports construction, but it’s better than using property and sales taxes I guess.
  6. Yes, but that might get you one or two above average players. You need more than that to win. You need a guy at each key position that you would never trade or let go.
  7. https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article288967315.html#campaignName=charlotte_breaking_newsletter Panthers want $650 million from Charlotte. In exchange they promise to stay for 20 years.
  8. This team is mostly made up of other team’s rejects. Derek Brown is our only blue chip player. You can’t win with a roster like that. Years of bad drafting and bad trades have caught up.
  9. No, but new practice facility, HQ, hotel, and significant stadium renovations would cost 1.2B. I don’t think they could do all that and a dome for 1.2B
  10. A dome is NOT part of the plans. They are building a training facility, a 5000 seat “stadium” in the training facility, a team HQ and a hotel, along with improvements to the stadium.
  11. The easiest way to get in compliance with title IX has been to eliminate men’s sports.
  12. Funny… get a 2nd, 3rd, 4th degree. Thats terrible for the sport though because that behavior would block opportunities for younger guys which would impact the NFL down the line.
  13. This isn’t NIL. This is schools saying “you play QB? You get $xxxx”). Pure pay 4 play just like the NFL.
  14. Was about to say the same. That will be the next shoe to drop. Paid employees the same as university staff and faculty. Just there to entertain the real students.
  15. Summary: Bryce is relearning the basics of the QB position.
  16. https://www.wsoctv.com/news/local/city-discussed-12-billion-framework-panthers-stadium-renovations/GPQZECP3AZAWHBQSMPQ5CZTEA4/?outputType=amp Sources say the city is exploring a stadium renovation project with a new practice facility at the location of the current practice bubble. A dome is not part of the renovation package at this time. FYI…Nashville just agreed to 1.26 billion for the titans.
  17. He’s inexperienced and so is his staff. He has a plan based on some assumptions and that is fine, but what does he do when his plan falls apart? Can he pivot correctly? Long story short, IF he figures it out it will be a few years in.
  18. We’ll see what becomes of their picks. In the end passing on Stroud may be their mistake as well.
  19. And the Chiefs are coming off a game with the Bills so they might be more beat up than usual.
