  1. CMC has a long relationship with that org.
  2. I’d love another 1st and for Christian to get a shot on a great team. A QB with the 1st overall pick and a center or WR with the other 1st would be a great draft.
  3. It’s clear all parties want a trade to happen. It all depends on if someone offers fair compensation.
  4. Is he the one currently rated in the top 3 of all NFL tackles?
  5. We’re getting Stroud or Levis. It’s almost a lock at this point. Young will fall to a team that can wait a year or so for him to bulk up.
  6. That’s a lot of conspiracy talk for me, but I don’t think Tepper is going to suddenly figure out how to hire a great coach and run a team. He had a reputation now and it’s going to cost us. If I had to bet on it, I’d say we won’t get a true franchise type (mid tier) QB and coach until the end of this decade. By then, Tepper will have grown frustrated and bored with the Panthers and turned it over to someone else to run.
  7. Our D is more likely to score than our offense.
  8. Jerry had a better idea of how to win. He just hung onto players and staff he loved too long. He was also a bit cheap.
  9. I don’t buy the whole ‘he just wants to make money’ thing. This is a guy who made 10 billion in just one year once. He could make a lot more by selling the team and focusing on trading again. He does want to win. He was just acknowledging reality. He said that because he was saying the only way to consistently win is to have a consistent advantage. Which is true. The guy has only ever won in his life so far. He wants to win he just doesn’t know how yet.
  10. Yeah it sucks that Tepper is an A-hole, but that’s true of many owners. Hell, the eagles won a SB with a $hit show of a front office and they are undefeated so far this year. I think Tepper’s desire to win means he is willing to learn and change. It will probably take him a while though.
  11. 7 winning seasons in 27 years “Keep Pounding” is a fine team motto, for sure, and is threaded through the Panthers’ soul. But “Keep Losing” is what it’s felt like in many seasons. So it’s true that the Panthers have not had a consistent winning culture. They’ve had more of a “Wow, that was a really good season, so get ready for three bad ones in a row” culture.
  12. I don’t see any modern examples of coaches that like that who can sustain success. Good staff always leave. The best head coaches in recent memory have always been really good coordinators. X and O guys. Wilks is not that guy.
  13. So Rhule was great at the relational side of things but bad at the Xs and Os. Perfect college head coach. BTW…That kinda describes Wilks as well.
  14. Stafford would not have performed well here. He threw the most INTs in the league last year, and that was with a better supporting cast and McVay as the coach. Stafford also knew Rhule and co were terrible so it wasn’t going to happen anyway. My gut tells me Stafford would have been on season ending IR at some point during that season.
  15. Ron’s made a lot of money. He’ll retire.
  16. He’s tight with Wilks and Drummond so prob just giving support.
  17. So we’re just going to ignore how horribly Quinn failed with the falcons? Quinn is a great DC. Bad HC.
  18. Talking about how much owners are liked by other owners. Kroenke tried to put the other owners on the hook for hundreds of millions with his St Louis lawsuit.
  19. Yeah, who knows. I think he has a ways to go to reach Haslam and Stan Kroenke status.
  20. He doesn’t make player personnel decisions. He’s basically Tepper’s right hand guy. His full title is: Senior Advisor to the Chairman and Vice President of External Football Operations.
