    Didn’t we just draft two? I don’t see Dan admitting defeat just yet so I doubt we draft another DE/OLB. Mayne interior DL?

    It’s been talked about for years, but good OL is almost never available in FA. We got lucky (overpaid) with the two guards we have. For the most part, teams have to draft for it.

    45.6% of players with that injury never return to NFL action. And nearly 80% of players didn't return within two seasons. Those that do return, few return to their pre injury performance and most have much shorter careers. This is not a player you pay, or trust to be available. He might come back in 2027, but I wouldn’t bet the season on him. We need a replacement.

    The odds of him returning in any form that resembles a starting OL are slim. Expecting him to return would be beyond stupid. By the time he recovers, he’ll be a free agent and will need some type of contract to play. I wouldn’t pay for that. We need a LT for the future. Icky is gone.

    We were about to give Ickey a big contract, so it’s possible we go out into FA and given some other LT that contract. I’d prefer to draft one, but that’s a lot of draft capital we need for the defense.
