I feel like there was someone making fun of the people freaking out on the Titanic by saying things like 'it's unsinkable, you people are just panicking' even as they were treading water before they could turn into an ice cube. A turd is always a turd. In this case a turd picked a turd who in turn picked a turd. There may be a few more turds in that line but the point stands.

True but Dalton is cheap with no commitment, the Saints were a good team on the decline and we were a bad team looking for a turnaround. Figure out a way to win with Dalton and then you can talk better. Rhule burned that option down while overpaying 3 times so it wasn't on the table for these fools. I don't even think it's about salvaging the season as much as CYA because Young looks really bad and his ability to read Ds isn't helping him nearly as much as they projected. I think they are 100% in damage control and hoping they are given an out...which would be IR for Young at best. Even winning with Dalton wouldn't make Young look any better because Young's problems need to be fixed on the field and not on the sidelines. He isn't a project QB, he is a QB that needs to figure out how to overcome his deficiencies in a way he didn't back in school at that level of competition. The sitting him thing only delays the inevitable. He plays or it's a fail situation. He was the most pro-ready QB in the draft and pre-season but now he needs time to figure out the game? BS

We could have just signed Dalton and saved 2 1st and a WR. Dalton at 36 has more upside and looks to have a longer career in front of him... QB whisperer HC looks like it's time for the retirement home buddy

What are your best ideas for trade packages to help this team?
Waldo replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Players they should trade: Burns, Chinn, Young, TMJ, Jackson, Shaq and Horn. Burns should net a 1st+ and the rest are not worth building around, get what you can while you can. If you can't trade them and they are not on a rookie deal then just cut them and get it over with. None of those guys are quality building blocks and they can all be replaced by FAs laying around every year. Keep Brown and Ickey. Those are the only 2 of good value and use moving forward. The rest is meh to fug off level players here. -
The Tepper tank. End up with a top pick and pissed it away already. As classy as ketchup on a great steak...

Worst trade since Sean Gilbert

Unless he turns this around a 2nd year doesn't improve the fact he is a terrible playcaller and his scheme is arse. If Young keeps looking like trash then he has zero reasons for a 2nd year. Go ahaed and just fire Fritz soon because that is the first person that needs to be fired if you want any meaningful change this offseason. New GM and then pick a new HC. Also throw Suleiman out with the other trash because he is also part of this teams problems.
-
Maybe. Honestly just playing Dalton can keep them out of the top 3 but then they have the BY issue/reality to deal with next year. No idea what these people will do but I doubt it will be better than a to 5 pick.

It happens. I don't have any 'projecting hope' left in me and haven't since Rhule's 2nd year started.

REPORT: Bryce Young scored 98 out of 99 on his S2 cognitive test
Waldo replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
It looked like he was just concerned about the weigh in and not the reality of what he was really going to face. It jives with the preseason approach and thinking a rookie QB is fine if you don't establish the run or even use the more effecting RB after the first game. -

Sub average arm and physical talent. Not a good combo for a guy who has to make space to throw because he is little. -

It was always a case that doing anything other than water weight would hurt his value. Good agent and meh prospect. People still don't want to admit he is as limited as he clearly is on the field. -
REPORT: Bryce Young scored 98 out of 99 on his S2 cognitive test

People Keep comparing Bryce to people who are good but he looks like a Lance inverse. Same difference except one went to a playoff team with a good coach and the other went to a bottom dweller and a coach failing again. He absolutely skipped the explosive drills for a reason and it's the reason he can't Murray or Tua it on gameday. -
Tue has to stay healthy for the palyoffs to have any value. It's fun now for them but I wouldn't bet on him being available throughout a run to a SB. It's fine because they have a stud HC that finds and coaches up talent. He also came out with a lot more physical talent then Bryce. The more Bryce plays the more it's obvious why he didn't do squat at the combine. It's not Clausen bad but his inabilities make it too damn close so far. Start comparing Bryce to his peers. Hint, it's not the guys winning. Hell Baker looks like a better QB overall.
-
Can you see it now? Frank isn't that much better and Bryce isn't looking close to average. It's still looking l ike a top 5 pick.

That and the Butns trade.

There is zero reasons to get attracted to good peospects or projects. The GM is a poo roster builder and drafter and the owner wanted a franchise QB but he didn't know just drafting high and calling them that doesn't make them that. With different people we could have done many things but it's just not what went down here.

3rd round but true.

Young got to the NFL and realized it wasn't school ball any more. He plays scared and the easy windows in the pocket dried up. He has a brain that can read coverages and a body that makes it incredibly hard to use any of that brain. He even has trouble pulling a Murray because he isn't athletic enough. Sitting him with healthy is about the funniest take. Like 'he is basically a rookie' and 'he always turns it around in year 3' funny. What untapped potential is he going to discover? Another growth spurt or a better arm? Just lol.
-
Untill he doesn't. I'm over fighting with fans about how they fan. Cope how you will. I don't have any will to argue about what fans wish was true. Fritz should have left with Rhule, Frank is a hasbeen who was way overvalued while undervaluing his negatives and Tepper only hires failures so far so I have zero hope that will change until it does.
-
Remember when posters here said he wasn't qualified for the job when he was hired and then again this offseason? The whole 'he deserves a chance' angle is looking like the fantasy it awalys was. His roster building is trash and losing Morgan doesn't look like much of a loss outside of nostalgia. GM, HC and owner. Directionless mess with too many dummies failing at every angle. It's a mess and it's hard to imagine next time will be any better than the last 2.
-
Dud HC picks dud QB. Frank was always going to pull this poo, it's who he is and has been. Dud scheme and playcalling. Surprise, surprise, surprise...

This team is about to be a gaint piñata. Maybe next year but this year it's just low hanging fruit for everyone as this drags out this season.
-
I guess they can get rid of Keep Pounding now and just go with SSDD

Bryce was built to hold a clipboard in the NFL. Today proved that's his natural spot. This team is going to get ripped even more now and Young is going to be taking shots on and off the field going forward. How they handle the QB situation is going to interesting moving forward and I am not expecting them to handle it well.
