It's is a real thing. You know what they say about having film.
-
It is if he gets a runway to set it up. That worked in school but it's looking sparse at this level of play. I'm more worried about his ability to quickly see what's going on and get rid of it.
-
It really shouldn't. They should have taken Bryce back to NFL basics that you mention weeks ago. Shotgun is fine if the D respects anything going on but when they don't then this is what you get. Well that and a QB who can get rid of it very quickly which means they need good vision...

Antonio "Wilks" is why Frank has to be fired tomorrow
Waldo replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
It also helps to take over when all the blame walks out with the people fired. Either way getting a half season of that kind of football can really allow your ownership to piss it all away by hiring another clown they fell in love with in the offseason. I don't see a quality option on the staff. Brown needs a lot more time at the very least. Caldwell is outdated and limited. Evero should be too smart to take that bag of issues. -
The element of surprise goes away after the initial use. That's like a backup coming out you hadn't watch any film on.

Same as every game this year. Do whatever I want or need to do and keep a TV running so I can walk by and laugh at the terrible football they crap out every gameday and then move along until I pass the TV again for another laugh.

The one thing you can say about Young is he can't stay in the traditional pocket and they need to give him space to have a chance. That isn't performance based but just an observation. He is swalloed up so fast I'm not even sure he can throw it away. Even with better blocking keeping the sacks off won't change that. They have to try but there is not much to hope for there. Run another scheme further away from what he needs or keep doing more of the same while talking about changing personnel chasing that dream and avoiding the sad truth about his severe limitations. He doesn't have the wheels to Willson it away and create the space he needs to function. They can't change anything because they already know it won't work any better and they also know they can't make what they want to work so it's full steam ahead waiting for the axe to fall. Plus Reich is the pivot point on coaching and his change record is the nail in their coffin for them all.

There is a difference in college elite and college entertainment. Young was never elite and his best trait is useless in the NFL because his vision is so seriously limited. All that school film? Just entertainment with solid reads which is exactly what it looked like. There are so many 'experts' that look foolish on this one and so many videos that prove what they couldn't see.

David Carr was as much the problem as his coaching and oline were...so sure. This is what complete failure looks like.

Daniel Jeremiah on Panthers Offense/Bryce
Waldo replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
I get they have to do what they will attempt next year but I still think it's going to be more of the same regardless. I have no idea what they will lewve for 2025. The trend is to give away for less. At some point it's going to be a practice squad team with a bunch of soon to be IRed overpaid vets. Hell that's not far really. -

Bruh we would have 2 years ago -

Yes he can. Hell PFF had him as the highest rated player on the O last game right? (for whatever that is worth). He looked solid at the end of last year and was progressing. That is a crap take and you should know it. He is a 2nd year player left alone is a crap blocking scheme holds people? Young should tip him for that help. -

Or stop ruining his value, trade him for a first and draft a good OG in the 3rd... He can play LT in other schemes. I hope he asks to be traded if they try this. Spending a 6th pick on the Guard to prop up this offense is more mistakes on top of the last ones. Just run a mauler O the rest of the year, build up values and sell the lineman that can't do zone blocking well. Or piss away more value leaving a gapping hole at LT and not LG the rest of the year. -
I think there are few guarantees this point. The Teppers will be the owners next year and we don't have our #1 pick. There are no contracts on the books that couldn't be tossed and eaten in dead cap. 'Is that smart' is a whole other conversation and it's one I don't even want to have personally. We also have no idea who will still be here next year and who won't making these decisions in the fallout of this years massive failures.

Predict the crowd percentage at BOA Sunday vs the Cowboys

Less than 25% I hope they clog every toilet and trash the place. I only feel for the people that work the concessions. -
Panthers Practiced Silent Snap count in preparation for this weeks game
Waldo replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well just keep practicing it the rest of the year. Good to see them learn something but I was really hoping for more, like an oline usage change. -
It is and there is more to the story than just coaches BSing. Rhule did the same thing and I am wondering if there isn't another angle to the backstage drama.
-
Adjust the blocking scheme, run some under center and work on his feet problem. What will they do? More of the same probably
-
IDK what goes on in house but there is no way that some coaches do not see this. No adjustments and a clear direction that isn't working yet not even a hint of changing either other than cutting an OG. I would love to know who is in on the oline decision.

Waldo replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
That has bugged me for weeks. All I hear is they want to make changes but not adjustments. -

I haven't watched a lot this year but I saw guys who had over the top of the D who looked like they were not concerned and those shots were not taken. Either he can't see it or he won't try. Tua also doesn't look like a post season threat yet on that stacked team. -

Or if he threw more as well...
