The Athletic: “‘Hunger Games’ culture” at BOFA
Waldo replied to SuperBowlBound's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's it. It's the price of letting it get that toxic in house. -

I get the thought but everyone needs to go. Air the building out with new people who can't remember what went on. It's appears to be that bad. Nuke it all and hope that steralizes it enough for the next crew...once Tepper stops being the biggest peoblem. -

Clean house and keep no one. Sorry, none of this should be allowed to be here next year. -
Because they said so out of laziness. Same with Young. The tape was there and most took the easy route and just ran their mouth. This ain't the NCAA and it's not as easy of a game to play. It looks more Carr than Smith situation with Young. He doesn't have the physical ability of Smith. He is Bridgewater lite if they fix his technical stuff...if he can even see playing with proper footwork. Some players just peak in school and other people just won't admit that is a real thing. I don't think Carr had the upside of Smith in his brain if I remember correctly. He had small hands too?

Yup. It's so much worse than anyone wants to admit yet. The public naratives will switch after another draft hype cycle but this last one is still too fresh and too many 'experts' did a lazy ass job of evaluations on Bryce to have that conversation yet out in the media. It will be interesting who admits they were wrong and who blames everything but Bryce still. Hell some people still don't blame Carr for his part in his failure which was always going to happen with his limitations in his game.

The truth isn't hate, it's just the reality of the situation. He looks headed to the list of worst top picks ever. I am even starting to doubt his ability to earn a backup gig after this mess is over.

Who we should have drafted? (Sarcasm while crying)

The good news is he is not going to be hard to replace... -

The "LAST TIME" you had true hope/hype coming into the season....
Waldo replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Maybe 2019 that they could build a solid start on a 3-4 switch. Once they hired Rhule and I watched a video of him speaking I knew he was a dud and it didn't take them long to confirm that. Never had much since. 2015 was the last time I felt hopeful completely. That crashed by the time 2016 season was underway with Ron and DG in a pissing match and reverted back to expected mediocraty by 2017 and the return of Hurney. -
It was true but he was't the chicken salad...

Just put him on IR and ride him to the #1 in 2025. It would be a mercy for all.

Russini: Some coaches wanted to bench Young
Waldo replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
His first year when he was mostly 'hands off' lol. Yeah it's going to be for a lot of money but he is also not going to get a Ben Johnson. Petters walked and so would Ben is my guess. How much rejection and how far from his desired outcome is the questions there for me. It is going to take a lot to crack that ego IMO. -

I got free tickets when I came down to see friends. I wish I was you who had an excuse to not to have to watch this game. They flexed smartly for sure -
Panthers aka the Teppers may want to keep Fitterer
Waldo replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Well we know that but that doesn't fix the real isssues lol -

Tepper has already shown it's going to take that and so much more. I expect a hiring cycle where he doesn't get what he wants will be another step in that direction but it's going to be a brutal path to ever get to that point. If they play that bad then he can just blame one side and I'm betting it will be the coaches again. -

Where there is smoke... If it is as bad as it looks and is starting to sound then more will keep dropping lose. I think today's game plays a part in that. The Teppers made a big move earlier this week and whatever happens is going to shift responsibilities onto the new crew. -

Some of yall did not want to hear it. I still don't belive he will dump him for a HC either yet. He is going to end up with whoever will work with Fritterer and fix Bryce. It's going to be more failure again. -
Bryce getting killed trying to run a college offense in the NFL comes to mind. No idea but it's possible
-
If this gets worse and not better with Reich gone it's going to be very entertaining in that building.
-
It's a legit concern. They did say he was listening to too many people.
-
But there was a censensus in the people who make mock drafts for a living... That missed how his height is an issue when he had to find a gap in the line to launch pad his deep throws. And his feet issues. Just ignore the pro-ready stuff talk they were so sure about. Media hype is worth nothing and this is a great case why it's mostly entertainment and little more. Ohh wait our owner is dumb enough to actually use it to pick 'his' guys.
-
Great listen. He hit on a lot of good stuff. Needing a tam builder vs playcaller HC is a solid take. Giving Teppers other issues itmakes sense even if it'snot what I would like to see. The best is when he said how Tepper doesn't get how the league works. The consensus take was shattering to some common myths around here. 'He has to hire people that are not scared of him' to get an honest opinion. Read about history? I fugging wish he would. It would save him so much time and wasted seasons left figuring stuff out others already put on display. No honesty and everyone is out for survival, the brutal truth. Clean the entire house please.

LoL. So he is going to walk with 4 or 5 years of pay and just go bounce back to school? Didn't that guy already use Tepper to get a raise already a little while back? What a terrible idea.
