McDermott reportedly wasn't the biggest fan of Cam
Waldo replied to t96's topic in Carolina Panthers
He had a better OC for a while and that made a huge difference for him. I wish Cam had a Daboll develope him early on. They both had good Ds but it does seem like Cam's support staff wilted over time and Josh's grew. -
I will absolutely not be buying anything Panthers related that I am not contractually obligated to purchasing. Not a damn thing. I think attendance will speak louder than anything else. It's not even worth underselling at this point, 2 tickets to a game don't look to be able to cover a meal at McDs for 2 now.

Given you can pick up a DC about any year vs it being very hard to find a good OC and keep them, I'm going to say this is not a wise track given how the NFL worls. Looks like McDermott may be available soon and even our DC gets passed over and is still a DC for that reason. It will be interesting to see how Ryans does in Houston after his OC gets a promotion. I'll take an offensive guy always now, even if Tepper chose a washed up and tired HC last time. There are exceptions but it's not like this team has hit on any good ones in years, I wish we could find a Reid and it even took him a long haul in Philly to get to where he is now.

And yet it's not even on the table until well into next year. Big sad

Do you have to start young or can it be a Dalton led team? I would take Dalton vs Darnold any day.

It all starts with the lines. It's why I would be fine with a trade or two if the players were not great fits moving forward. No way they turn this mess around in a year and given the draft capital situation they are going to have to rely heavily on free agents. Build it right and stop hammering square pegs into round holes. It's full blown and painful rebuild time. If they look better at the end of year 1 then it is going well regardless because anything they do no matter how well will still end up picking top 5 in 2025.

I really wouldn't care if they blew up the entire unit if there was a decent plan inplace and decent people to make it happen. Trade, cut or keep as long as they really fit the system moving forward. None of the staff should be carrying over so just run a mauler system the rest of the year and begin the transition to the new system once these people are tossed out.

Damn I'm glad they caught it.

Panthers abandoning Wofford for training camp, will be in Charlotte
Waldo replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
Thanks Billy. I apologize for my words and tone. Cheers -
I just realized that the Panthers can't be on Hard Knocks next year so there is some mercy in all this mess. I bet the NFL already had us circled as a juicy target before Frank got fired.

Him being angry is the new standard. I have no idea what it's going to take to make him turn the corner but I sure would love to see it.

In summer thunderstorms? Being stupid isn't the same as tough. Then again some people have soft brains... -
Knowing Tepper he doubles down and fails again next year. I haven't seen any signs yet that he is capable of stumbling over competency. Or will allow it to flourish near his toxic management style. Maybe after that he will deal with his ego and try this entire thing in a competent way. I just wish he had another toy to play with so he would take his focus off of this one.

I really can't blame Reich now. He was checked out before the season even began and now we know why. Dude went full 'fire me so I can retire' in the pre-season. That stinks to see as a fan but I think I would have done the same. That place sounds like a hellscape of a job to have to work 80+ hours. -

Just admit you were rude and wrong. Or keep being a condescending twat. -

'But, to suggest we'll be holding training camp in a hotel ballroom is ridiculous and just piling on. ' Now you are just lying. -

Scott has shown it multiple times. There will be no bad weather spot to practice then. It's what we used to do under JR. Go ahead a look it all up. As for the attitude you are giving me, tone it down or fug off. -

And the bubble is coming down at the end of the season apparently. So where else would they do bad weather practice? -

So back to the hotel ballroom when it rains now? -

Good thing there is a working practice facility to pull this off... Is the bubble even big enough to have a 90 man squad in it doing practice? Serious question. I remember watching the college team work on 2 fields next to each other to accommodate them all working out at once. -

It is a shame but it is also sometimes necessary. This looks like one of those times.
