  1. Battle of the fight to the #1 pick. Very exciting
  2. Not if it was in school ball. That is worth less than a preseason game in the NFL.
  3. Meh he took the job, I'mpersonally done feeling sorry for these guys. I would have respected him a lot more if he brought in a QB 2 that fits his system and at least a hint of competition. He is a very green coach. The oline still being a mess after the money they spent and the choices they made is not a great start. Since Tepper got here the whole 'it's not fair because they are not getting their shot' has turned out every time they should never have got that extra shot. This looks no different. Neither hire was the best option but more of they took the job and helped drag the last mess into the new mess they are making. One and done again is looking like a better option, especially after the offseason these 2 have dumped onto the team.
  4. If Young goes out and gets hurt after spending 150 million on OGs then they hired the wrong guys...again. It's beyond conservative. It reeks for more dysfunction. He is a #1 pick in his second year so handing off the ball and some quick passes should be attainable. The only legitimate out is if Young is also hurt...not that having both your QBs banged up in preseason screams of competency but at least it would make sense. Either way that joint practice is coming and the Jets were more than happy to prove they weren't the worst team anymore last year and I don't see that changing this year. It sure looks like it's still a clown show again.
  5. His school film never lied if you took off the college fan glasses. The media side of the draft process is mostly just a bunch of lemmings following each other's mocks. Thanks for the confirmation Rap.
  6. It was always Stroud. Richardson was a solid swing without the trade but not with it. Young didn't look like a 1st rounder...just like the WR they took this year.
  7. Not really a surprise, just also not an easy sell given the recent history and the fact that other WRs are already showing they can make an impact now and not some time maybe in the future seasons. The second part I agree with but then why did they choose to pair him with Legette who is obviously not a technician? I have no idea if Legette will reach his potential but that's how projects go, there is physical talent to be hopeful about. He doesn't pair well with Young in my eyes and Mingo looks like he might be the better project anyways. When a 2 win team takes 2 projects to open their draft it shouldn't come as a surprise that they are getting criticized.
  8. First 2 picks are projects on a team in desperate need of any talent on the field. Not a good sign from the decision makers. That's how they don't get a chance to stick around long enough to see the projects develop anyways. Especially when the guys they could have taken are...just like last year.
  9. With the typical sophomore slump after. This team has a thing for projects and the return has been incredibly low lately IMO
  10. Add in the missing agility and that RAS score drops out of the 90s lol
  11. I still can't belive the team dumped DJ Moore and still hasn't come close to a serious replacement since. For real. I don't think the Diontae hype translates into reality here. Being the best WR on the Panthers hasn't ment squat since Moore was shopped off.
  12. Again the idea that Young flops again and they ride him for the entire year is a terrible idea. It's a new staff so them not trying to win is a huge issue. You can do that with a crew that's in a death march but not a crew trying to put a winning team on the field their first year. It's flat out tanking
  13. To make the games watchable would be nice but it's a terrible sign if new people are playing themselves into the 1st pick in their 1st year on a team that just pissed away the 1st pick this year. That's the biggest problem in my mind that if he bombs and they keep playing him throughout then why would anyone want those people picking a new QB? Hurney got his shot and picked Rhule. Rhule got his shot and picked Fritterer. Fritterer got his shot and picked Young. Since Tepper got here 'they deserver to prove themselves' just means they already failed before here and get another shot to make fail even worse. Look at TB and PM, both have dad bods which just shows the QB can put on non-muscle weight and can be just fine. Weight isn't a giant concern with QBs if they have the natural frame because they can fill out if speed isn't their biggest tool.
  14. And anyone playing him into another #1 pick shouldn't be around to make that pick.
  15. Doesn't matter because they will be drafting another one next year. Young was never going to work in the NFL and it's wasted season 2.0. Just get it over with already.
  16. I remember that scam. With how internet service has increased in speed, quality and coverage the people that use satellite has to have shrunk considerably.
  17. A lazy town reference is fitting lol. Just have to find a pink wig for Young and the new HC is Sportacus.
  18. The Panthers trading up for their typical 2nd round WR in the 1st would be the most Panthers kind of pick. I miss having a good WR on the roster. That window was way too small post Smith drought.
  19. Even with a top 5 pick next year I don't have any confidence in the people Tepper hires. Over the last 6 years the Panthers actually have the same win % as the Jets, 30.69%. Over the last 5 years we are the worst team by 3 losses and the runner up was the Jets. The Panthers are the new Jets and that is really embarrassing so the average fan reaction is not at all surprising given that context.
  20. Dude is the laughing stock of the NFL this year. Enjoy watching that piñata getting beat at every opportunity because that might be the only entertainment value of the Panther's season.
  21. Or the fact Young couldn't see chunks of the field last year...
