Missing on a top pick QB after tanking is pretty bad. It's literally the one position keeping them from making some serious noise. If they can turn him around it would be miraculous. I completely agree about it being less worse than a big guaranteed money contract fail due to escapability but it's still a giant fail.

They literally tanked for a QB and wasted it on a guy that looks like he is toast. That's not a win, its excaping a huge mistake easier.

Now that makes sense. Also, just go ahead and get rid of the HC & GM if you have to trade picks away to not have them waste them. Most owners are terrible at this football thing.

Very possible, or maybe we hired a bad GM. Maybe the power split is good on paper but doesn't function in reality. This new thing is way too new to know. I'm kind of surprised we are not trying to trade for him. Half kidding. I swear it's like NO cheats with their cap. Maybe he just keeps unretiring and pushing some dead cap back every year. Or they make him a minimum player every year and just don't activate him.

Can we just start naming anyone that was once a good QB as an option to overspend on? Marino is alive somewhere I think. Payton could unretire, we all know they will give him another ring. I personally would like to see Montana with one of those suits from Edge of Tomorrow if we are just making things up. If the Eagles are not sending big picks this should be dead already.
