  1. CMC was always injury prone from early on. He is a high talent and high usage guy, freak level. He is paid because of that even though he is often injured at some level. I just don't like the take he gets paid and then injured. He was always getting injured, even on his rookie deal. SF knew what they signed up for and was in the playoffs. We had the same deal but were often out of the hunt early anyways. Just a lot of bad takes about that IMO. The funny thing about Moore to me is he was also the one most of the fan base had the least issue with moving.
  2. Healthy just strings out a giant cap waste. That was true on his 5th year option money but not at what they are paying. CMC got banged up before this in SF too. It's not like he went there, was 100% healthy and just now broke down. They paid him because he is worth it when he is on the field enough. Especially for a contender with a game managing QB on a rookie deal. The crying needs to be put to rest. Moore was a worse loss than CMC.
  3. There are engineering standards based on the historical data that they build to at different levels. Cost plays a big part. It also appears to be growing.
  4. The data isn't all that old, reliability as coming into play the further you go back, if I understand correctly. They said the water was at a 1000 year storm level before this hit. That's way beyond 100 year cycle. Yeah there is always something for sure. I just didn't have hurricanes in the mountains in my head.
  5. They had a 1000 year rain fall before this storm hit. I think they build to 100 year standards in civil engineering typically. This is so brutal. Still waiting to hear from people up there. I was actually getting tired of the coast and looking to move up that way. I guess everywhere is fugged.
  6. And then spending top dollar in free agency comes back to earth. It's the NFL so these guys literally get paid to bang each other up. Draft well or be a mess. Getting those 4 to 5 years before the big contract really makes the differences in the team building process. Anyways, run the ball. Andy is smart enough to adjust. Now it's time to see what kind of coaching has been done.
  7. He was never worth elite money and he isn't a difference maker by himself. He could be a solid piece on D but if your overpaying him then you can't afford the difference maker to do the heavy lifting. He is a great example of why organizations shouldn't tell solid guys they are special. That trade refusal put the situation with him over the top after years of moving him around while saying what a special player he was and made his future predictable. Ohh and CMC is on IR getting second opinions so it doesn't sound great. He was hurt here and he got banged up there. His team is also tied with us right now with him out all year. He is a stud but the money to have tied up in him and not have him isn't a only positives thing. Some of those takes about him here are not ageing well even if they did have a good window with him.
  8. I just imagine a hub cap falling off when the hood gets slapped and rolling away.
  9. Frank did it for millions knowing he was getting fired again in less than a year. That's about the only time I would do it, for a bunch of cash and headed out of that profession.
  10. Someone will try. A 4th isn't much and his cap isn't much after we eat our portion. I'm interested to see who takes a swing after all the 'Bryce will be fine' he has recieved.
  11. He is making Clausen and J Russell look good. It's just so bad. A unicorn without a horn is just a horse. We'll a Shetland pony in this example.
  12. He has zero positives on the field. All those other guys at least had enough talent to take a shot on. It's rough for a nice guy but it's just the reality of the situation.
  13. It's like they have to do it if he is still around eventually but his ability and play level completely justifies moving on. He isn't a Baker or a Darnold. He is a worse Wilson or J Russel. Send him to Miami and watch him get people there fired.
  14. Watched a little of Ward. Not enough but he needs some work on his throwing technique stood out to me. He passes the eye test but that one thing stood out to me. Just seems like a real low release on every throw. Too much side arm? Physically he looks good. Not a cannon but plenty of arm and he is NFL quick. Sanders look polished but something is missing but I couldn't put a finger on it. Just wanted to take a quick peak at these guys.
  15. I would take him when he gets tossed out of Jax with that deal. This team can't afford to trade Young, they will not be buying an expensive QB next year either.
  16. Good enough to start, good enough to win with but not a difference maker when the team has to lean on them. Don't turn the ball over often and makes good decisions on the field.
  17. Too soon. The oline looks a lot better but the D is missing a lot of what it took to sign those 2 guys. The center is still healthy and that's not a guarantee to stay that way. Everything can be looked at like that right now. They kept Sanders and Thomas when they had the June 1st option for both come to mind. Also the handling of Young will define both the GM and HC going forward. They did right to get him sat but there is a minefield ahead still. I can say I am a lot more positive than I was coming into the year for either one but there is still a lot to prove.
  18. Planning on keeping Dalton when he may not even be in the NFL next season is not a great plan. We need to see if Dalton is even healthy at the end of the year and go from there. Just draft a QB if there is one with enough tools who passes the regular exam that Young skipped over and have a vet on hand to start the year. If not then change to a vet on a prove it year and do it all over again in 2026. As far as draft prospects, they have more to show this year and as far as their competition is concerned it matters a lot less than some here think IMO. It's all a practice league. Young looked good enough to get drafted 1st and that competition didn't prove jack and that was the big old SEC.
  19. Some people also need to use this year to step up and become the talent we need so it could grow...theoretically. We deffinatly need to figure where the talent is and isn't this year. That is way more important than wins or losses IMO.
  20. They are desperate and I wouldn't bet against that. Should be a good game. I still don't care about wins if the team is competitive and things are improving.
  21. I thought it was negotiable while that was the floor. Obviously I haven't kept up in years. Well there is always IR if they can't trade him.
  22. It's a very opinionated take every time with this guy. He talks about what he likes and dislikes which isn't needed and skews his breakdowns. Just put it on mute and you can see the good and bad without the bias. Dalton had a good game, got lucky with a few throws and made some really great throws. This is not a playoff team but it is a team that can be competitive with Dalton at QB.
  23. 1. I was told the cap doesn't really exist anymore? Sarcasm. 2. None of that guaranteed cap hit transfers to the new team? I have no idea how I missed that on rookie contracts. I thought it was all guaranteed but transferable.
