I would have gone with dog crap due to the stink it carries but solid.

Ohh it wasn't about dunking just that you remembered wrong. Wanting the team to fail and expecting it to for the stated reasons is also completely different.

You need to go back and look at all that. You can quote old post, you know when he was signed and there were threads on it. It's there and there were plenty of concerns and dislike with hope for the best thrown in. Some liked it, some did not.

It's sad this is the best hope we can scrape together but that is not any of our faults.

It's covered anytime we talk about anything because it keeps getting in the way. Almost like some people are just oblivious.

I'm with you except him speaking, that was a huge red flag to me. I don't take that angle very well. It grated me instantly. Felt like he was talking to us fans like we were popwarner players. There was some stuff in there about his style and philosophy but that all turned out to be BS in the end.

It always depends on what 'experts' you listen follow. It's a universal issue. Hell people here were proping up Hurney as 2.0 and didn't see the irony or wrongness lol. Well liked around the league lol.

It's a win-win for Leftwich. Also shows smarts for him to bow out. I agree, love him but he does need more time...even tho that is a raw HC I would love to see us take a swing at even with his rawness. The Balalke thing just shows how GMs can be more about the Owner then actually being qualified to do the job.

TbT... Why couldn't he leave the burgers alone!!

KB is a great example of why trading away late 1st round picks for players can be a better idea. Funch was a 2nd round miss. It's not like we haven't seen one of those real recently... -
Ohhh ok, learned instincts being football instincts. The old 'slow is smooth, smooth is fast' (if I am even saying that right lol). That makes a lot more sense. Thanks. IDK, it's early and I haven't seen enough. I kind of don't want to even do it this year, too much likely disappointment from this crew. I like some stuff about Howell and Willis but like my crush on Lance last year, I want to see some professional grade interviews. That is what sold me on Lance being worth a shot. 49ers went all in but a 1st on a guy like that is worth the miss in my opinion. Lots of these guys have good film, bad film and imperfections. It's that factor you see when interviewing someone young where you are like 'this person gets it and has room to grow'. That is what I want to see. Sam never had that as far as I have seen.

I did not know that but I could see him as a LBer. Like I said, he comes off as a classic jock so that fits. Good point and example. How people learn is a big part of being able to succeed at something. I could completly see the NFL and other levels being classical 'do it this way or fail' oldschool.

I just don't know how to phrase it. It's more than instincts, it's capacity in some fashion. He can't see it and it's apparent his coaches can't coach that up, he is doing the same stuff he did in school. Definition of mental ability: Mental ability has many different definitions, including the power to learn or retain knowledge, the ability to understand the facts and significance of your behavior, possession of the qualities (capacity, ability, power) required to get something done. He lacks the capacity or ability part I would guess. IDK, it's so hard to quantify but he certainly does not have it.
-
Legitimate question: Is he just dumb? Not Bradshaw dumb but just not a bright guy? The projects around the league recently that have made that leap sound pretty smart. Lance last year showed a lot of brains in his interviews that I saw, one reason I was happy to take a flyer on a guy like that. I have never heard Sam speak and thought there was much brain power there, kind of an old school jock template if you will. It all just looks more than football awareness issues really.

McAdoodoo is going to save us LOL

Some of us learned after 2010 and it shows.

Solid but Armmstead is just another overpriced injury prone LT at this point, same as the last 2 years. I expect a rookie QB but I would much rather see a stud LT in the first and be done with it for 10 years.

Maybe or maybe not. GMs are weird. There are some that are professional with actual qualifications and others that are Owner sycophant just learning on the job and pushing blame. Ross is an known quantity as a human and the owner stuff is getting real interesting. I'm sure Tua wasn't happy with him courting Watson but Tua didn't blow the doors off with injury issues or production so I don't blame Flores for looking elsewhere after missing on Herbert. With the GM wanting Herbert that just makes it all sound like a systematic dysfunction starting at the top, poor setup of power structure I assume going through ownership. I can just see Ross in a chair giving those two a thumbs up or down like a Roman emperor watching at the colosseum. Same as in Houston with their last regime, got real weird and the one that allowed that to happen was the owner. With that much dysfunction it's hard to tell what's what. Who they hire as HC and how fast that sours will be interesting to watch and compare.

I was going to buy a year this month but they sold to a company I am not paying a dime towards. Damn shame.

Smart guy. I think he is going to make it back to OC on the fast track.

It's still funny. How about them Commies? Love to see it. So perfect. I hope that POS regrets that name and has to pay to change it again at some point.
