Even if this is about the 'competition' it is still just beyond pathetic. One of those guys broke down on the field last year but he 'may still have it'. If this is some ruse to increase Sam's value then it is all even funnier. I also don't see or hear anything about Corral in this competition. The nicest thing I think I will ever say about Rhule is that he is hilarious even if I know it is not intentional.
-
Sure. New owners usually take years before you know if they are ever put together a functional team. I care about Rhule getting fired and taking this poor ass staff with him. I care about seeing what Corral has. I don't give a fug about playing pretend to hype up another wasted year though.

New to the Panthers? Have fun playing make-believe with your new team. I'm going to have what fun I can until I don't care anymore. Please continue huffing your glue and bitching about the unhappy fans and not the crap product Tepper has produced going on 4 years now.

He is making room for them Ls lol

Need an offensive identity? How about score some points. Maybe look into adjusting in game. 3rd year and I have no faith in this guy.
-
Will he change and improve or just keep doing it his way which has been awful since buying the Panthers? A tale of hope and fear brought to you by the NFL. Tepper needs a bigger and much more embarrassing fail to start to comprehend how poorly he has done it all so far is my guess. Then we get to see if that question can be answered for us fans.

HAHAHA Keim strikes again. He is not worth anything close to that kind of money. Love to see it.

Skip is useless as far as I am concerned. He is a hot take without research with a human shape.

Mayfield "at an immediate disadvantage" (The 33rd Team)
Waldo replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Against who? The rookie or Sam? Maybe PJ? Too funny. This offense will be run first. All a QB needs to do this year is hand off the ball not not turn it over. The bar is so low there really isn't a need to force it with any of the QBs. If Baker can't win that job outright then we either have the answer in Corral or it's going to be clown porn football again. -
I am not impressed with what kids did in college or being hyped by their college coach, that is the coach's job and once they play in the NFL the college stuff is as important as what they did in HS IMO. He has been in the NFL 4 years and there are known issues with Baker. Concentration, consistency, ego and whatever you call the BS drama he gets himself into are all in his brain. His personality is the issue, it literally gets in his way of being more than a now busted top QB pick trying to salvage his career. And that is OK, it's why he came cheap which is hilariously still an improvement over Sam. All signs point to him never putting it together consistently, he is an all over the place guy and his play over the last 4 years backs that. The frustrating thing about Baker is that he could have been a legit QB if his personality and ego were not such negatives. He is a lot like the caricature that people wanted to paint of Cam except with Baker it is true and really has negatively affected his NFL career. He is a vet and much like Sam he is what he has been at this point which is inconsistent with high highs and low lows who puts on a show from good to really bad.
-
His arm isn't his issue, that sits between his ears. There should be a fine for talking heads BSing about sports stuff that they obviously know nothing about. Like a bucket of slime they used to dump on kids back in the day. Maybe just go with an IDK and pass it over to someone else.
-
Maybe eating that $18 for a late round pick? That is the best I can see. Free backup for a year for someone. The cap savings is he is gone after this year either way. No reason to do anything yet with Sam. Just sit and wait. The scary thing for me is thinking about us needing him since he is already paid for.

Baker is exactly who he was before we traded for him. This place after the trade: He will be more fun to watch than Sam but he is also not a good QB who has known issues on and off the field. Just like with Sam, before you start making up fake narratives like 'he is basically a rookie' or in this case 'look how composed he is' please remember he is a Vet and this is the extream offseason. Also comparing him to Cam is extreamly funny. Question: would we have ever traded Cam before his 5th option year for a conditional 5th? Yeah that is BS regardless of similarities on the shallow level.

I can't even go into depth on a new hire until Rhule is fired. I don't disagree with those though.

Vikings Wire writer taking potshots at Panthers
Waldo replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
A good not good enough QB vs a meh not good enough QB vs a not good backup QB is hardly something to celebrate. Now compare Cousins to the top 5 lol. Be glad for what you have and try to do better if you can without shooting yourself in the foot. -
He is young, worked with suscseful people and he played himself. Im not sure when he will be ready but any team with a ? At HC should keep an eye on him. Jax fugging up and not hiring him was probibly a career saver for him lol. You tell me that guy is learnig and I belive it as more than possible. What we got now? I couldn't answer that with a straight face.

No thanks. I am done with coaches being GMs and SB coaches do not go on to win another with other teams. I want to try a Leftwich over a Payton. One has their carrer ahead of them and the other is fugging Sean Payton. I get the feeling Tepper will make the next obvious mistake of going for a HC has been on the decline before taking a quality try on an up and coming NFL HC.

5 wins. As long as Rhule is the coach I really don't expect more and the changes are negated by the schedule. Still a 5 win team this year.
-
If Baker can't beat Mr Ghost then I might die of laughter. Let them compete but Sam's issues include looking better when not in a game. If they have to give it to Baker then that is not good.
-
It already happened around here. Like last year but different for reasons.

3-4 and 4-3 both can work with proper roster management and vision. We lack both. We got a good look at Snow's 4-3 last year and agaisnt the run it looked like we had a 2 man front once the play started. It didn't work and I don't understand why they think it will this year unless they are changing up a LOT of things. Add in they operate a run 1st offense and it all makes so little sense. They want a heavey pass D but set it up so the other team shouldn't and doesn't have to run a pass heavey offense. All 3 of our last 3 QBs need a good run game to have a chance yet the D is built the complete opposite.

The more I think about replacing Riddick by committee apraoch the less I look forward to it. It would be one thing to roll that way because of injuries but to do it willingly with the adjustment issues we showed last year just makes me think we will see a completely telegraphed D for any OC with half a brain to pick apart. Snow's scheme already stretches the front 7 to far IMO. I just can’t imagine how that works for him with lesser talent on a more difficult schedule.
