  1. He has been crazy awful this year but his career was so much better than Sam before this year. It isn't close. He also turns the ball over less. 3.2% for Sam and 2.9% for Baker on their careers. Not a huge difference but it shows. Baker is a better QB and looks like that this year. The people wanting to see Sam forget how bad he has always looked and unless Baker has an issue not disclosed to us I wouldn't bet on Sam in this offense either. They both had CMC and not good OCs here. We will get a direct comparison soon enough I fear. If their careers ended today Baker would still have much more production. I don't like either one so I have zero reason to fluff one over the other. In the end, I wish we had never brought either in to play here.
  2. It was 100% on brand and I knew the moment they did that trade that they would eat it big time. Nobody stood up and was like 'guys this is a really bad idea' in house. They actually thought they had a potential franchise QB lol. Sam is and has always been Sam, he was just at his worst last year after a very rough first 3 years. He isn't good and that goes back to school, his hype was always his athleticism and potential but never his mental game. Hell Baker has been a better QB before joining us and he looks like Sam behind that line, or worse. IDK, I wouldn't take that bet personally. It should improve some but I have serious concerns McAdoo can even pull off a decent offense at this point. I haven't liked any of Rhule's QBs outside of the 'bridge guy to put up with while we wait to draft the answer' approach...which turned out to be Corral in year 3 in an epically bad QB class where he gets IRed before the season can start.
  3. Cut the garbage out and run the same base scheme. Different usage of players, like Horn on their #1 in man and CJ or Hartsfield with a lot more help. No more Burns drop backs or at least a lot less in less critical situations. Let someone else play FS and use Chinn all over the place. I want to see what they do with the Dline.
  4. We spent more time picking higher under Rhule, we should have more talent now. Seems close but hard to tell because it's too soon for many and player development under Rhule was unbalanced at best. The D line on paper was great for Ron but it was terribly one dimensional. I like out DB room more now by far. Luke was great but that 3-4 nearly killed him. The oline this year is better by far.
  5. I'm not so sure. You should be right but the priduction under Rhule vs not is a wide gap. Add in the oline last year? It theoretically should but I have a hard time believing he wouldn't follow that trend of failure.
  6. It would never make the kind of money it does without the greed of the owners. They absolutely drive that magnitude but I still think a model based off of GB but way improved could work. From what little I know about them it is run more as a community and not for profit but if you had stockholder elected people running the team in place of an owner it should work a lot better.
  7. It needs some tweaking and updating but it would be interesting to see. Involvement would be way up IMO but the owners with their control have also pushed some changes on the league that have led in the direction it stands now. I don't know if anyone has ever done a serious deep look into the +/-s of it all. Second part? The players and most of the public money would no longer be needed to help those fugs ride the gravy train. Hell what if you could get a dividend check for investing in the Panthers?
  8. Good. Make all of them sale and set it up more like GB. I would buy in.
  9. I love how they think things could have been different if they had a QB but everyone thry brought in played their career worst here lol. No QB would have saved anyone here. Sounds like no one is safe. Good.
  10. Yikes is the nicest thing I can say to that. We need new blood from new coaching tree options. Not Quinn or Wilks level staffs.
  11. I liked Corral but he had health issues and he was IRed here before the year could even start. I hope he can contribute but that basket should not get all of the eggs. We will be drafting a QB from this class. If they bust then Corral can step up or we can draft another one in 2024. That is priority #1 for the roster moving forward. People are trying to make this class look like the last one and even I can see that is BS. Probably going to need a strong offensive crew outside of Stroud for support and coaching so all the talk about potential defensive HCs gives me a headache.
  12. Still a hard fug no. I don't really want Moore but if you are going that rout just hire him as the HC. Quinn will still be around to be a DC.
  13. Career wise? No he had some success in the NFL vs Rhule. Darnold's career is a lot more similar to Rhule. Personality wise? One is a dink and the other is a shyster. So still no.
  14. He is but still that is a ballsy leap to take. They have to be looking at using those extra picks to find a long term answer. Might be some high picks also. Great ammo to go get your guy in 2023.
  15. And they were bought by a Walmart heir? Fitting. I am surprised by Hackett's work there so far. I knew Seattle wasn't going to be great this year, no idea what that plan really is still, but watching Wilson look like a different person was not expected for me. I just think it is a really bad idea to take a 1st year GM or HC and do that kind of a trade. Daboll is doing it the hard and right way IMO.
  16. I thought there was one in Miami but I wasn't paying enough attention. Huh so a mixed bag. Not looking great up in Denver for those 2. Minni and NYG killing it while Chi is at best a too soon. Like half a chance to work either way on that sample size.
  17. Did the combos in Denver and Miami have prior close connections? Retaining a GM to get a specific coach would be the same difference.
  18. I would need to see it to believe it. Punching the Rams in the nose with no film of PJ or any of the changes could be enough for a win this week. I need to see more than that to get on that hype train. I remember Wilks as a DC and a HC. Just being better than Rhule isn't that same as being good and he really wasn't good beyond a position coach. We celebrated when he left to become HC because he wouldn't be our DC anymore. I need to see what has changed because if it hasn't then we are in for more competent loses the rest of the year. I'm incredibly skeptical McAdoo was much more than what we have seen this year (again a slight bump but not enough).
  19. fingers crossed Those two can chew up Tepper and spit him out without any real effort.
  20. That is more of the same before Rhule. I think the only option worse(so far) than that is Payton for way different reasons.
  21. Well that would require him to open his mouth and we all know how fast that goes down hill.
