  1. Just draft a guy and do the on the job learning thing behind a good oline.
  2. I won't miss Wilks like I didn't miss Rivera. Rhule was a gaint mistake but I still wouldn't go back to either at this point. If Tepper can't do better than all 3 of those then there really isn't a point to all of this. If he won't try then it's heartbreaking but life is short and eating sh$t every year is getting really old.
  3. It worked out so well for Wilks. I get it, it's money. But if you were on a solid career trajectory why would you settle for Arizona and their known issues? To work with Murray? I can't see the great or even good prospects going there and I have zero faith they will hire a GM that isn't dogshite. This looks like a spot for someone rehabbing their careers or someone young or not really talented that knows they need to take any shot they can.
  4. How about Burns and a 2nd? That's 2 first and 2 2nds of value right there.
  5. Technically Darnold had his worst and best years here. Mayfield had his worst. I keep forgetting that Teddy put up numbers but still lost. That one gets me every time.
  6. They are better off without either one but they also just extended both of them and their QB. I have no idea who would want to work under that ownership or with that QB at this point.
  7. HC: Johnson (we have shown little interest in my #1 hope of Steichen) FA: Bozeman or similar. Foreman or similar. Depends on contracts, might have to roll with more prove it type deals vs being able to dign them long term. Cap Moves: Cut Shaq and Thomas. Trade: Burns for 2 1st Draft: Draft QB via teade if we have to do so, DE and TE.
  8. He should cost less than 20 a year or we should just take 2 1st and call it good enough. He isn't worth top money and if he signs a deal like that he will be another cap casualty when the dead money balance becomes hard to not justify.
  9. And both equal an automatic championship...I just don't see it myself. I don't think we would be bad with Harbaugh, I just don't think he has it in him to win one at any level. It would be entertaining but not always the good kind. Meanwhile the Bronco's new owner is about to make himself a first time owner mistake and I hope Tepper is watching what that looks like from the outside.
  10. He is a complete mercenary and will go where ever pays him the most along with the required power and then turn around and do it all over again at the next opportunity. He is a good coach but that is by far his greatest skill IMO.
  11. The wife thing sounds like an excuse. It's obviously a giant issue but unless he is going to go help quiting his job isn't improving anything. Meh, it's on Fritts now. I have said it before, it would have looked terrible i regards to Wilks vs the other moves. It hurts to lose that offer but it was a bad time for us anyway you look at it. You are dead on about how desperate thry looked and it should serve as warnings on how badly things can get so soon after they go so right.
  12. Best news of the day. I know his hype was building here but I just don't think he is the best move for us. Give me one of the OCs please.
  13. The moves made or not made are not going away as long as the people who made them are still working for the team. This is kind of big news. To get a ring at the expense of the team now and be so young and still eject from the situation is wild to me. I'm conflicted. I want to win a SB but I also want to compete for a long time. I know the SB matters more but that team looks like it is nose diving and having the HC 'retire' so early just makes it look hopeless. That is a huge jump from the top to the bottom.
  14. He is having a really bad year. I don't think brining him here is really a positive at this point or if Wilks would want to work with him after their time together in Arizona. He needs to pull a Brady and go work for someone good for a bit at a lesser potion to try and pull it all together.
  15. 1st half but life goes on and there is stuff to be did.
  16. All we needed was a ridiculously effective running game and a short leash. Every GMs dream when picking a QB. Give him his props for being able to accomplish the most basic standard for his position in the game. Now we can sign a vet who has upside past not being themselves and draft a rookie while a team like the Saints signs Sam in the offseason. That is the triple win this offseason, fooling a divisional rival into signing Sam while brining in a cheap vet to do the same very little and a rookie to finally do things that allow us to use the F word we have missed for years now. Win-Win-Win.
  17. I hope he goes to the Colts. It would be more fun to watch him get into it with Irsay.
  18. None of the defensive guys impress or excite me. The more I looked at JH the less I liked. It's time to take a shot on an offensive guy. I do want to switch it up and get a completely new QB room too, other than Corral. It's just too much old baggage and none are good enough to keep unless they are the cheapest option. Let me clearify: I think Lawrence, Burrow and Cam were top 5 guys over the last 10 years that were worth it. Wentz and Luck were good until injury prone. I just don't see it this year unless BY comes in a lot taller and heavier than he looks, he has the rest of the package but he looks alarmingly tiny. Just change up the cheap vets and pick a rookie to pair with the new coach. If it doesn't look good then do it again next year.
