  1. We are still picking top 10. I get what you are saying but I see it as he set the floor for the team after the Rhule sized disaster. Going to another coach opens up all kinds of options now. Burns is on the table now, where he wouldn't have been with Wilks. I'm fine with CMC draft pick, even a late 2nd. Bad contracts need to get cleared and that was never on Wilks. He played guys, we got plenty of looks on everyone that was healthy and we have identified guys to debate over keeping vs walking for the new crew. I see no viable way of tanking at the coach or player level without creating more issues than they 'solve'. Keeping Rhule would have increased our draft pick but he would not have given us the answers Wilks has. We were not a NFL run team under Rhule & Co and under Wilks he brought it back up to the minimum, that isn't bad. It may all be frustrating but this isn't Madden. I think Wilks repaired some of the damage Rhule's incompetence did in his 2.5 years so that's not bad because it should make it a smoother transition for the next guy vs how we ended last year which was a huge problem for those goobers going into this year.
  2. It's offical, burn it all down. JK lol kind of not lol
  3. After Rhule's general BS approach I agree 100%. I still do not see how a deffensive coach can pull off convincing me at this point.
  4. QB entitlement at it's maximum setting of 11. Yeah that and playing more than 10 off the line agaisnt Brady. The faces Wilks made when the camera hit him as the Bucs came back looked just like Rivera's. Just stare your will at it instead of actually adjusting.
  5. I don't care where Wilks is from, him being a Rivera coach and clone is what I don't want to see again in my lifetime. Solid job given the circumstances, good human and meh HC material in the current NFL. I think we can and should try to do better.
  6. Considering what is going on with Twitterverse that really isn't surprising. It's not the case here. I have seen more 'stop comparing Wilks to Rhule' and I'm not sure I have seen 1 'Rhule was a better coach' takes here lol.
  7. Great case to stay in the NFL but no to the HC gig here. The only way I see him being retained is if Tepper can't land one of the big OCs though I would rather have Reich as a settle HC.
  8. Too much. Our 1st, Burns and more? I would rather take a shot on an imperfect and less rated prospect who is paired with a HC with QB grooming abilities. Neither Allen or Mahhomes went top 5. If we had the right coach I would care less that we are not picking top 2. I don't want to see us do a Lance type trade.
  9. Who is going to hire the new coach in DC? The team is being ready for sale and he isn't a terrible HC so how do they proceed to replace him when the new owners can and will do whatever they want after the purchase? Only desperate candidates will take that job when they have no idea who their new boss will be or want. I still think he makes it into 2023 as HC due to the situation and this is all just fan hope we are all too familiar with around here. Wilks isn't staying here unless the offseason goes very wrong for us again.
  10. No idea. Ask me again after we hire the HC and get a look at his staff.
  11. If only moral victories made you better than last in your division? No one to even replace him so he will get another year up there regardless. SSDD
  12. Well Brown was close until this year. Terrible? No but his play until this year was not great. He earned not being a bust with his play this year. Mostly Shaq at 24 mil vs 12 saved is what I have heard mostly with some unnecessary shots thrown in. Once DJ signed that contract he opened himself to critisism, not hate but plenty of debate there. Horn is a talented player but way too injured, I wouldn't have a problem trading him or keeping him but with his injury issues looking at a 2nd contract and choosing an out while his value is high should be on the table with a new crew coming in. None of that is hate but if you love any of those players I would guess it sounds close to hate. Some people are losing their minds but that is not surprising given the situation. Yeah these guys fought hard but that is also literally in their job description. Call out the people just crapping on it all and not other who are just unhappy. I respected the fight but not the product but I am also ridiculously unatached emotionally so I also get the anger being tossed around atm. We all need a solid week away from this team. Im hoping the pkayoffs and coaching search will settle us all down with more hope than we have sniffed in 3 years.
  13. I would love to see a complete rebuild starting with the front office but I'm not attached to any player on this roster nor does crapping on them unnecessarily bring me any joy. 1 more game of this wasted year and then we can talk about earning respect going forward because what I saw this year was not good enough.
  14. I thought Taylor looked worse. A lot worse.
  15. Carr could go either way, pull a Wilson or a Payton. I don't see him making us SB contenders or building a quality team around him on those numbers so it's a hard pass for me. I want to see a rookie QB and let them build the team up around that, just make the vet cheap and run the ball. I don't see us as the 49ers looking for QB play to get them a SB or Rams pre-Stanford. This feels like a Wilson trap, maybe not that bad but bad enough.
  16. Only as a cut. No trade and hell no to that contract. He isn't worth it even if the dead money is low. Let other teams choke on foolish contracts. The Seahawks did it right with Wilson and the Ravens look poised to do the same with Jackson.
  17. Huge difference with Luke and Cam vs now. Meh, Rivera has shown everyone where this ends. Feel good about not winning enough. I'm not celebrating that anymore and this year hasn't been fun or magical, it's pedestrian proceeded by complete incompetency.
  18. Well I wouldn't make it into a diet but I'm not judging beyond how it makes Tom look like he is giving the mid-life crisis a whole other level.
  19. He looks like he has been on a cocaine and booty diet since he came back this year and his marriage fell apart. So just another day in Florida. Maybe a tapeworm he grew for some super celeb diet? Kardashian level plastic surgery, maybe we get to watch him morph into one of those cat people over the next few years? I still think it's cocaine.
  20. No idea who shows up and who doesn't. After being at the first game this year I just have no expectations other than being bored by the 4th. Run or lose, it's simple going in. I miss football that was fun to watch. This year is like a endless bloopers reel, sometimes it's us and sometimes it the other team.
  21. He is a rookie project I'm surprised they even let play this year. Let's talk after next year where they will have to decide to keep going, cut bait or add another rookie to the mix (which they could still do this year because why not).
  22. They were 12-4 in 2013 and not 3 5 win seasons infront of 2014. That is a huge difference. I would say DC the last 3 years is a better comp and they are .500 in their 3rd year after limping into the biggest loser playoff appearance and they still haven't had a winning season since, even with an extra game added last year.
