Give me a reason to be excited about the future of this team
Waldo replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
In these times Madden is about as close to decent Panthers football as you are going to get. Or just turn it off and don't allow yourself to watch more then the lowlights. -
There doesn't look to be much to ruin. Never did but some just couldn't see it for what it is.
-
I was roasted for saying it was suspect that he left the way he did and we ended up with the best salesman again. Hell Ben just said no to any more interviews lol. He is still the one to get IMO. Got to get a GM first. Tepper needs help and I have zero faith in any of his hires throughout his organization.
-
Yep that was a big part of it and that is what also turned me off. Well that and his JR ties. I did think Tepper would at least build a training facility and make a ton of money doing it but it looks like rich clown is his thing. Neither were great options. I wish the Canes owner was richer because that guy is one worth saying 'I wish' about, not those other 2.

The NFL picks the owners and they had a hard time and had to lower their standards for the DC sale. Blame the NFL for being a billionaires profit making toy. Most new owners stink for years and some never change. Just make the teams publicly traded and get rid of the rich doofuses problem altogether.
-
Let the next GM decide. Hopefully he will be here soon.
-
If it's for picks for the new GM then sure. Giving Fritterer more ammo to waste is just a dumb idea.
-
I have no idea how anyone compares Young to the greats. He is a one trick pony and it's his intelligence. Nothing else clears meh except that.
-
Maybe he will decide to retire after the dumpster fire that is this season. The fact that Indy is a better run franchise is mind boggling. They got a better HC and QB while this team was pissing away another 2 years.
-
Yall still talking about Brees and Manning? Bust Young is neither of those. Might as well start talking about later pick QBs in the draft and who you want in the FO and coaching staff. It's a lot more realistic.

The circus clown music is the only mucis they should play at games at this point. Keep honking

As a GM, what is Scott Fitterer good at?
Waldo replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
He was never good enough to get the job in the first place. Then he should have gone with Rhule while Tepper did a clean sweep because bleach really is the answer a lot of times in heavy cleanups. Tepper spent his butt off again and couldn't pack the house on opening night with the #1 pick while proving why in the game. He needs to fire himself first and figure out how to get someone decent in to do the heavy lifting he is incapable of doing. -
It should be the new team logo. Put it on the helmets
-
I gave up on him before the team picked him. Smart kid, going to make a good coach someday. He peaked in school and some just can't see it. Too bad, his brain in AR's body would have ben HOF but this ain't Madden.

Worst team in the NFL: Your Carolina Panthers
Waldo replied to Diehardpanth02's topic in Carolina Panthers
The ugliest thing is what do they give up on first, the dud QB or the people that picked him while pissing away so much value on a team desperate for more talent? Tepper is dumb enough to ride this failure into a 2nd year. Go ahead and fire Fritterer in a couple of games at this rate and have the new GM run the new coach search. -
What's worse making those moves personally or hiring people bad enough to do all of that fail on their own? It's both which is why it's been so bad and continues to still look headed in that direction. He absolutely has some fingers in the stupidity done but he also hires these people and I honesty don't know where he keeps failing harder.
-
33-10 Saints. Prime time is pain time for Panthers and nothing really looks to change tonight.
-
The SC debacle was a huge red flag. I think Rhule was a big old learning experience but I am not impressed with anything since either. Better sure but he kept Fritterer and that is looking more and more like his last GM mistake where he kept someone too long instead of just flushing to begin again fresh. Suli is looking like the joke we always looked like. Reich is a good dude but meh up and down for me, just another Ron with his best days behind him. He needs to learn how to hire and manage people and let them cook. The fact it's been one game and the trend still stands is just beyond funny to me. It's just so consistent regardless of personnel changes.
-
Tepper's standards on display again. Seriously, how is he so constantly bad at managing everyone and everything. Like any positive they do is overshadowed by failure. It's an impressively consistent trend. I am not expecting it to change much either. I don't think this team has a chance until he burns through his need to play directly with the team and takes a big step back to a way more hands off approach and it's probably going to continue to stink for anyone along for the ride not in it just for the money.
-
Looks like negotiations are going well and everything is as planned? With that crack team of ownership and management? The NFL is about winning and getting paid, not just for the players either. What the hell did they think was going to happen when they were offered that trade and were turned down? In Burn's mind someone else already would have paid him that if they took the trade. It's all incompetence and as much as I think Burns is being overvalued by enough to pass, it's still not his fault it got this bad before he decided to go panhandle to the fans to get the deal finished. It's all very embarrassing. If they let it get to him publicly asking to be traded then that would be a new low and a loss of a lot of leverage with him not willing to stay. It's all very poorly done, whoever is allowed to be blamed for this clown show routine.

Predict: When will the Panthers get their first win?
Waldo replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's the NFL so any week the other team could just face plant that week. It happens. I really don't see this as a team that not going to be picking top 5 except in the 1st round. -
Aaron Rodgers got hurt on turf… the Panthers switched to Turf
Waldo replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Panthers had bad grass too because the owner was cheap and cut corners along with a doofus employee if I remeber corectly. Again money is always the first reason. Hell the turf is bad sometimes for the same reasons. The stamdards are ridiculously low and i can't even remember what penalty they get when the score the field conditions. The Panthers were really bad in the cold snap game last year. Tepper wanted it because he could use the stadium more with his concerts. It's not an issue because the players won't demand anything and give up on other negotiating items. -

Owners do not care because it's all about the money. If Arizona can roll out a grass field in a dome in the desert then they could figure it out anywhere else but they won't because it would be very expansive and they can just replace the hurt players with rookies next year while they throw lame concerts for even more money on that garbage turf. It cold be done but the price would be very expensive at some locations due to geographical location and stadiums designs. The Romans flooded the colosseum 2 thousand years ago and had navel battles so lol to people saying they couldn't put grass in NFL stadiums if they wanted to make it happen. I wish the players would force the issue but even they are about their money first or they would make it an issue. That is the NFL at it's most stripped down.
