Calling it - the Bryce Young trade is the worst in team history
Waldo replied to TN05's topic in Carolina Panthers
This sure seems like it's worse than the Sean Gilbert trade. That one scared JR permanently so maybe this one teaches Tepper something...if it's possible for him to finally learn aanything positive about running an NFL team. It's going down in history as the worst trade for the team. It might also be the worst year ever also so I guess Tepper finally got his big move and big outcome he has been looking for since 2020. -
Or it could just be the all star coaching we got going on. IDK, until I see them make a move I don't know what the hell those people are really thinking. The possibilities are fun but the reality hasn't kept up with that.
-
Anytime. His ticket is punched. If they let him make another trade then they deserve what they will get.
-
It's all pointless now. And no way does playing Dalton keep Bryce off the field all year. Playing Bryce into the locker room falling apart wouldn't help him either.
-
The fantasy they will build a 49ers type situation around him given the situation is not one I can share, he may find that on his next landing spot as happens in these circumstances. He is going to have to beat someone out of that job next year and I haven't seen anything that leads me to belive he can. Those people haven't figured out anything good and if new people come in then nothing is guaranteed as far as futures.

Or they could just call it what it is and just play Dalton.

Dalton might win a game.

Quick moves to at least put us on the right track
Waldo replied to bobcat91's topic in Carolina Panthers
I still think they will more likely double down vs doing anything rational like firing Fritterer. If Bryce really is Tepper's guy then expect a big dumb trade or something next. I just can't expect any kind of decent direction when there hasn't been any for way too long and I just don't believe that Tepper isn't a huge part of the problem. I just can't expect him to start acting like a reasonable owner when I think he is in on the big stink. -
Predict when Scott Fitterer and Frank Wrong are fired ITT
Waldo replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would say Scott anytime and Frank when he doesn't give up playcalling again. Then I think about whatever Tepper did throughout the process and wonder if he is again tied to people who did too much of what he wanted so now he has to let them fail for way to long again. -
What would you give up to draft Marvin Harrison Jr.

Bryce Young lol -
Again...

Run the ball out of non-shotgun lol. It's all so stupid but at least it's funny once you accept the reality
-
It's what happens when you run a shotgun offense and have a rookie QB who doesn't take hits well or shots down field. No one respects anything deep and as long as you can keep the pressure on it's an obvious and basic game plan that keeps winning against the Panthers. The deep drop backs are the stuff of dreams for speed rushers and with no respect deep the running game is easily contained. It's not rocket science
-
He isn't worth 13 mil in dead money either but he is the kind of poo the people running the team love so it's bound to happen. He is worth a 6th if you have to eat that dead money next year IMO. That's like the last pick in the 5th round

Mr “I won’t stand up for Mediocrity” observes practice today
Waldo replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Your right about most. It could be done and properly. Frank is obviously failing here with the same issues he had at his last job and also never underestimate well placed blame. Rhule had most fans convinced Teddy was a problem but it turned out they threw him under the bus and he was 100% right when Rhule proved it over the next year and a half. The problem is that expecting anything being done properly at this point is absurd. I don't think Tepper could pull it off but I do think it could be done at the begging of the bye week even given the history. Tepper giving the presser alone guarantees it will go poorly. -

Yup. Unfortunately most of that interest will be more coaches like Frank and not people like Ben Johnson. -

I'm sure someone brought that up to an angry Tepper. Until they trade Burns or start talking about rebuilding, these idiots still think they are a player away from turning it around. 'It's the NFC South. How hard could that really be?' LOL -
Jeudy is the most realistic option says PFF (& bye-bye to Burns)
Waldo replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fitz should never have been hired but he was the quality of GM you get to pair with a Rhule. It's all just stupid and incompetent. -

They don't think any of this is rebuilding. They never have. It's a move to win now which is why it looks so bad. You don't trade that much away and are able to call it a rebuild.
