They can kick the Panthers teeth in on Sunday and that will not make me believe Tua will be 100% available in the playoffs any year. Dude had 3 concussions last year? They get to have all the regular season fun but I don't know if they can clinch a SB win even with that coaching. I hope it's an extra embarrassing game just so Tepper gets an extra week to stew in it. I have no idea how long it will take him to fall backwards into anything good.

If he has talent and value but not in their system then why is he still here?

Could Both Fitterer and Reich Be Safer Than We Think?
Waldo replied to tukafan21's topic in Carolina Panthers
As long as they can put up with and manipulate a boss who is angry and clueless they have a job. All the talk of change was pure hope until Tepper decides to realize how bad it is and he is absolutely a clueless clown still. Anyone could keep selling that idiot a hope of turning it around. I do wonder how he is going to like the hostile home crowd at 0-6. There is so much of this season left and it's looking so bad still. -
They are not playing great in this scheme and there are injuries but I believe Bryce's limitations make everyone look worse. It's the polar opposite of the 'Bryce isn't the problem' crowd. What he can't do list is incredibly long. No pro formations and only shotgun? Sure. No QB runs to soften the D? Sure. No deep passes connecting so no one respects the O and just stacks the box until prevent D time? Sure. It just keeps going. If he wants to benefit of the doubt then do something to earn that because just showing up was never enough.

Fitt was never a good hire and he turned out to be exactly what he was called out for and hid behind Rhule and Tepper. Maybe he is just a yes man or maybe he is wildly incompetent, either way he is not good and there is no solid justification for keeping him vs a long list of reasons to move away from him at any time. It shouldn't take 2 or 3 years to see positives from a rookie QB and there are a lot of bad play being blamed for the quality at that position. Fan how you want and believe what you want but that goes for everyone. There just is not much good to talk about and there isn't a change yet in the current direction so here we are. Everyone knew that after Rhule and Wilks they just had to be solid yet they have fallen on their faces completely.

QBs are so protected now, Bryce really doesn't run much anyways and he goes down if he is slightly touched. On the flip side every DC knows they can rush the speed from the outside and he wont step up or rush up the gut and he loses vision. No need for the kinds of hits Cam took for years so I'm not sure we will see one anytime soon with him. It just doesn't take that kind of effort to bring Bryce down.

Barnwell: Panthers have the slowest WR routes in the NFL
Waldo replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
The entire offensive scheme is a failure. Frank's time has past and he really hasn't done much the last 3 years except decline in quality. It can all be adjusted but he also does not belive in any of that. It's just incredibly difficult to say something poaitive about him or his product on game day. -
PFF grades vs Lions (Bryce in bottom 5 yet again)
Waldo replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
They are always debatable and some of their numbers looked cooked at times. It's usually a 'how close does this come to what I saw' conversation or debate. I get not loving PFF but it is what is out there so it's used either way. I wouldn't take any of it as undisputable. -
He would have been a great addition if they hadn't traded Moore. Very likable player but he also isn't the future so hard to get too excited by his play given the entire situation.
-
They gave us Tepper, this FO, this HC and this 'franchise QB'. This is all punishment and 0-17 still wouldn't be the worst of it. The football gods hate this team and have since 2018. They are going to have to make their own luck but this crew isn't the one to make that happen.
-
I think he would be showing things to be excited about along with his upside. I don't know if anyone would flurish here but Stroud could show why he was good enough to be drafted top 5 by now. Meanwhile people are looking back 40 or 50 years to justify Youngs play, a time when players like Young were broken on the field with those rules. Any comparisons past 2000ish get really suspect given what the games was back then. Any way you look at it Stroud is the best QB from that class and it's not close.

Didn’t see it in school and still don't see it in the NFL. His play hasn't translated to the NFL and he is going to have an incredibly difficult time ahead of him due to his limitations. This is a bottom team for at least the next 2 years and we will be looking at QB again soon. Sorry, it stinks but that is what this is.
-
It's what he did in school that impressed so many.
-
So when the D knows you can't scramble for a damn, take 5 step + dropbacks while not being able to step up into the pocket and see anything would be hard for the oline to block and maybe not their fault?
-
He is just part of the problem and not the biggest problem by far. Coaching, play calling, poor roster building and above all a really bad owner who is meddling to an unknown extent who also can't hire or manage his employees for a damn. He looks bad objectively. Really bad. He looks like a QB that obviously peaked in school regardless of the mess around him. There is just no way around that. They all deserve blame and I don't see anyone that should be spared.

Bryce - A bye week plan of action for a man of action
Waldo replied to Judo Thoreau's topic in Carolina Panthers

Sorry to tell you but Tepper and Fritterer are still here and I don't think much would have changed. Hell if Wilks would have stopped that trade he would have been worth it but that isn't his MO. Hell he took the HC job in Arizona and didn't even pick his staff.
-
Go ahead and eat that dead cap now. Might as well try Hubbard and some long shots because that guy is a waste of a roster spot now.
-
Wilks would have improved the D but still would have had an outdated O. I don't even want to think about Wilks O and Bryce together, I couldn't think of worse pairings. Steichen was the most attainable and best option but again if Bryce was still a lock then I don't know how much he could have done with so little. Better sure but nothing to dream about. With Dalton it would have been solid but Bryce has so many limitations that it's almost a mercy they went with Frank who is going to get retired by this mess. Johnson is going to make a good coach. He knew what this all was and said no thank you. Smart, smart man.
-
I think all of them think the fans are as clueless as the Teppers so yes.
-
No idea. At this point I assume it's pure BS from the coaches, FO and ownership until I see something different. This would have been Rhule putting his feet in his mouth saying something absurdly stupid, maybe it's dementia showing in Frank or just pure fantasy to take away his pain that isn't ending anytime soon. No idea. It's almost all BS at this point from those people.

Terrible throw and on Bryce lol
