Low expectations don't explain how poorly the roster is built. New coaching staff doesn't explain why the Burns situation has been handled so poorly. It also doesn't explain trading your best WR away to draft a rookie QB that they desperately need now. They made moves like they were a QB away and it shows. This was no rebuild, they were competing this year. All of that became the new angle when they fell on their faces the forst 1/3 of the season. Yes there should be some improvement through out the rest of the year but it's not even looking good in that context.

That's where I disagree with you. Fritterer literally said they could drop a QB in and win. It looks like they gaged wrong. The oline doesn't fit their QB and the D needed more time with that switch. There is no way to spin that, he said it in Feburary and it's easy to find in a search.

And he is hurt now. Kind of seems like a trend you could see if your nose wasn't all the way up to his sternum. If you want to play the local dipshit then find someone else to make a fool of yourself with.

Personnel needs more healthy talent but I aagree. I just don't understand why they would choose to make a huge switch on the D and make such a big move for a rookie QB. Even if we had a decently suited roster for it that is still a 2 year process at best. They may look better towards the end of the year but their ceiling isn't looking great so far.

He couldn't win last year with a better D and he won't this year either. He is fun but he is also getting exposed, that is when he can stay healthy which is another of his issues. If Sam takes his spot then I am going to be laughing all the more at you and your endless crap takes on everything.

He could make a killer living being the just interim option for teams with hot seats. He didn't have any problems not staffing in Arizona which is insane to me that they staffed most of that staff before hiring him. And I don't think he brings much on the personnel side either.

They have had good Os and very good Ds for years and have ZERO SBs to show with Jimmy G, Purdy and now Darnold. Just lol. Why do you think they tried so hard on Lance. SF isn't built to win a SB. They are built to get into the playoffs and look like they need a better QB every year. Wilks' D is 3rd in scoring and 8th in yards vs 1st in both last year. Wilks is going to be sacrificed to get another year to find yet another QB. I feel bad for him honestly. He isn't good enough to actually succeed and he isn't bad enough to be the real problem yet he keeps getting used by everybody.

It would have made more sense and been a much better attempt for sure. I just don't think the end results change much. If we are talking about the best trade scenario then they would have kept Moore and drafted Stroud while Burns would have been moved. The people running the team are really bad. This is just more proof of that sad reality.

It's cable's old model and no real surprise. It would be like them actually admiting that Thursday games are trash and are only done for easy income. Not really. DJ would still be good and Bryce would still be Bryce. Instead of talking about needing a WR we would be talking about needing help on D. That is just moving the problem to another position and not addressing the real issue the team is facing, a bad trade for a player who wasn't worth it anyways.

I want that to be true but if he is just a yes man for Tepper then he isn't really in immediate danger until Tepper says otherwise. If he gave a crap about what the media or fans say then he wouldn't do most of the stuff he has in his tenure as the GM. All signs still point to them being in the same mindset as when they set this mess up, at least to me until they do something that shows they are changing course. I still expect he is selling clueless Tepper on this all being easily fixable lol.

Everything used to prop him up was BS except his ability to sell his BS. This place has been ruining trends since Tepper got here. I am not believing in the 4-0 thing until it's 5-0.

Unless his master plan is to hit free agency with no value past a prove it contract then it doesn't make much sense. CmC was already paid and it wasn't all his choice.

There wasn't much there in the first place. There was 1 upgrade at safety and they chose to switch the D scheme with so little depth and known player health issues. The last 5 games last year 1 the opponets scored less then 20 points, Saints divisional slap fest, so its not like that unit needing more help wasn't a known thing they mostly ignored or failed to address. More bad news, the O won't be scoring 30 very often. And it can get worse, it this BS again next year which just seems cruel at this point in this season. The good news is that a player or two may establish themselves as decent if they get enough playing time in that mess. Maybe I guess.
