Letting anyone stay that has to justify past moves is a really bad move with the current problems. The only way to guarantee meaningful change is to allow it to happen. Fritterer deserves a shot is becoming Morgan has only been here 2 years.
-
Morgan helped build this roster so he needs to go also. No one should be spared from the needed house cleaning. Or just drag today's problems into tomorrow again.

There is nothing elite about Young. He is just another college kid that peaked before he was drafted and will jump around the league as a backup until he retires at best. None of the hype was real. His school film was vastly misrepresented, proready to needs to work on his footwork or sit and learn. All the preseason fluff they have spent weeks trying to roll back. His physical abilities should have been under a microscope but it was all just pushed under the rug of 'special'. He singlehandedly proved the S2 is as bad or worse than the test before. They could bring in a 3rd round QB next year and push him for his job. Any decent backup like Andy is just flat out a better option if your trying to win and not justify that rediculously stupid trade and pick.
-
We are picking top 5 until meaningful change happens and anyone that can sell Tepper on a new thing can change everyone's values. We picked a LT at 6 then turned him into a bust by picking a QB that can't play in his strengths. That is a team that is going to keep picking high for a long time.
-
Once the people who drafted him are fired then he is just another replaceable player on a bad roster or they keep trying to build a SB team around him and keep failing.
-
All Tepper does is make poor choices. WTF has he got lined up next?

As if we needed more reasons to hate Jimmy Clausen...

How the hell can any WR not get a shot? Ohhh the all star coaching staff. Forgot about them for a second

I would take a prime Smith today for Bryce every time. He looks like a Teddy but Teddy could do more he just wouldn't. I just don't see that from Bryce with his skillset. Maybe his old playstyle has failed so much so far that he is just shook. The 1 game he was at his best to date was a meh product. I would even take Teddy over Bryce from what I have seen. More upside IMO.

Why? We got the #1 superman. I do love Cam's response to it. The team should have just cut Clausen anyways. His rookie year was the worst thing ever. -
The scheme stinks but the speed is workable with decent coaching, something they don't have because they haven't adjusted it enough still. It's not great but it's being used as an excuse around here. Bryce is holding the ball just like Carr did. I think it's just him along with the other mess going on making it worse just like with Carr. I think when they said point guard they thought it was a positive and it's looking like a negative in reality. Again Dalton busted some of these still held myths in one game yet they keep going. Coaching or Bryce? Looks like both to me.

People keep saying Bryce is going to get Carr'ed. What they forget or ignore is that David Carr had a 7 step drop back and his 5 step wasn't much better, from what I remember because of his throwing motion would be too easy to bat down with a 3 step drop. His blocking stunk but he was also part of those epic 76 sacks by holding the ball and not seeing well in a collapsing pocket. If Bryce gets Carr'ed it's because he was always that and it just doesn't translate to the NFL well. Playing in shotgun is Bryce's 7 step drop. Hell it might actually be a 7 step drop if they ever played him under center.

Both is possible

The one possible attempt at a silver lining (?)
Waldo replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
The well is poisoned and just doing it half ass again will just be more of the same. Unfortunately the poisoner is also the owner. They spent too much and look too bad to admit anything yet in this build and I have only seen blame with little meaningful change from the Tepper. I can't imagine Tepper is at the point where he would hire a good hire vs hiring what he wants, someone he likes who will do the things he wants vs everything being on the table and turn them lose after verifying their competency and direction. He needs help and has no one around is that is qualified because of the kinds of people he hires. Burn it all down, flip everyone and just start from the ashes. -
I wish I didn't because it shouldn't matter. I wish the owners names didn't matter either but these teams are toys for them to play with. I wonder what the percentage of owners that actually know anything valuable about football actually is. Davis was born into it and he is as bad as his haircut.

The scheme from last year and this line would be even better but I couldn't argue with your take either.
-
The talent level is low and the coaching level is also low. The staff was way overhyped. They took the low level of talent and built scheme where it made everything worse. I just can't get behind either being good at this point. This team could win games with Dalton and the oline using last year's easy scheme. 'But the online play' is avoiding this truth. Otherwise, true. It was an away game after their only win bad on Sunday.

The best Bryce has put together is a game where the team that earned the #2 pick completely did not come to play that day...Then lost by 2 points...Holy fug that is not something to bring up in support even if the desperate masses came out of the woodwork for a 1 week celebration before another long hibernation. It moved him from 31st to 27th lol Link. I can't wait to see this weeks numbers...

Didn't their HC lose the team in the last team meeting? I didn't look too closely but that was the gist I got on a quick scan through the NFL. It's bad in Pantherland but that's like a Myer to Rhule comp, there is a gap in how bad in those bads. It's not just the HC and GM, they also sat the QB those 2 picked on a giant contract and won with his backup. You sure Tepper is ready to pull that trigger too? I think I am ready but it's looks like it's going to take a little more time for this to get to the spot it needs to be. And then there is the Tepper angle, what did he do and how does that affect the blame for where this all is? GM should be easy but is it really?

He is a subpar NFL talent and his mental abilities are nowhere near enough to bail him out. Teams should use him as an example why to let players fall in the draft. He was never a first round talent. He actually is the problem on offense. They tooled it to him and it brought out the worst of the oline and that effects the rest. They are trying to play to his stregths and it's away from wins. Play Andy in a mauler oline scheme and they win more than 1 game at this point. Out of the top 4 options they chose the worst one to bring in with the team they had set up.
