  1. I get that. At least let the new GM try to talk. Man if Fritterer stays then it's going to be big sad time. He can't let him walk given the history so it would be massively overpaying or an ugly and stupid fight.
  2. Lol He was the one that cut off negotiations. I would be happy with anything for him but I'm prepared to watch him walk. Maybe they can pitch a one tag and no more type deal. I wouldn't get my hopes up, he wanted to be paid long ago.
  3. He would be the first pink slip for a new HC and GM. Just clean house and try again. Forcing any of the current people on the new staff would be a huge fail because they are supposed to be running the show and not more of the usual mess.
  4. It's the Rhule year 2 D all over, 2021. Neither were good Ds just low yards and a lot of points. It was only 2 years ago but people forget how that turned out the year after that blip, hint 22 in yards and 19 in scoring. This is the same deal. Hell Rhule hit #2 lol.
  5. At worst 1 year. A new GM would probably rescind the tag then have that poo show on his hands. Easier to just blame Fritterer and just move on. That milk was already spilt even now. How to create a terrible image at a new job would be a public fight that some other idiot was already losing.
  6. I would be shocked if the tag works with Burns. His best play is to wait it out and then sign a prove it deal with a contender to raise his value on a better team. Fritterer already messed up twice with Burns so I don't see him allowing a tag and trade at this point. Playing here for a year already cratered his value so WTF would he sign up to do that again when they are facing a large rebuild process...or more of the same BS. Get ready to watch him walk for noting. Fritterer already screwed the pooch on this one way to hard. I still can't believe people were asking to give this guy a shot after the quality of work he did for years here. Yes man or just an idiot, same difference.
  7. Even if they could find talent they couldn't coach them up. And we have a name, Horn. It's all failure.
  8. He is a running backs coach with an OC title. The OC was supposed to be Frank who was training this guy. If they let him pick the QB then they deserve what they got.
  9. Give me more time and more good decisions. They also have Watson too. I would rather lean towards a more established show and with better personnel connections. A new GM would also be getting a new HC and that package from Cleveland is nothing I really want yet.
  10. I'm not a fan of going to Cleveland looking for talent. Not yet. If he is still going for the big splash that is extremally concerning. It's only been 6 years but he has chewed through some volume for that time. Every hire is going to have a big price tag now but if he is still looking to wow people and not just do better than damn that really stinks.
  11. Yup. And then what else can he ask for? That crew made it out of our kind of mess. I would be great to get someone familiar with the process.
  12. The only way a high quality prospect like that would come here is a massive contract, a deal where they get everything they want control wise and the ability to do whatever they want with the team. I have a hard time seeing Tepper allow that let alone let it happen without fugging it up.
  13. If they let an OC with training wheels pick their QB or Tepper took his advice over Frank then that's a terrible situation to be in. I didn't mean to come off like he is the victim in the long list of crap done by this crew. Hell, he could have been one of the guys with knives in the Rhule firing. Just unknown for now. If it's worst case scenario then fug him but I can't prove more than his playbook stinks and he has crap taste in QBs. He was absolutely another very inexperienced up and coming guy on a poorly run team that was not protected from himself. He was a freaking RBs coach, who TF let that guy run point on the QB choice? The playbook is on Frank. He was the mentor, yeah they wrote it together but who was responsible for helping him make it work? The guy who was the HC and was going to call the plays to begin with.
  14. We know there was one schism when Frank got fired. We know the BS they were slinging throughout the process. There is so much more that has beem happening along the way. Frank asking to sit Young after week six is a great example. Not adapting is another. Like what did they actually ask him to do or was it just Fank being Frank? No idea but I would love to find out.
  15. Too little is still actually known. It sure sounds like it's headed for more to drop to us. It's going to be interesting to see where the poop falls.
  16. Promising yet raw coach put in a terrible position and asked to do the impossible? The Panthers are the experience needed to do better elsewhere. This team packs years of bad experience into 1 season for them to learn from. The behind the scenes stuff too.
  17. Going down with Frank to get paid unemployment is starting to look pretty good about now. Any ideas if he was a knife wielder in that affair yet?
  18. I went and watched some film of Clausen's low and highlights. He is better but not by much. It was shocking how close it really was. Highs Lows
  19. By the end of 2 years possibly with Tepper stepping back and hitting on new people to run everything. It won't be next year. No way. Miracles just don't show up by the dozens.
  20. The possible wins with Dalton is just basic NFL salvage mode. It lets guys have a chance to change it up with 4 games left. Anything else would be a bonus. Bryce isn't playing well and Frank was right about wanting to sit him. It's just accepting he needs to do a lot of work and then give it another go. But that wasn't allowed. It's not all Bryce but it's a large part his limitations and some others the situation directly connected to him that is out of his control. The blame of the team management, coaching and other players is mixed right in. But none of that changes what he has shown is really concerning and there are other guys in the league proving a lot more with the things he can control.
  21. That kind of QB is fine at that level. Why have to look for an NFL unicorn when you can churn out championships with good enough? It's such an easy game compared to the NFL. The school stuff changes with staff and even they get lucky with hitting on a unicorn sometimes.
  22. Who knows. Tepper hasn't done anything close to that kind of approach. At best he gave SF until the end of the year to prove it with the other dagger weilders but even that is more strategy than he usually uses. It's I'm the smartest, repeat what he was sold and then go off with anger on not making it happen over and over again.
  23. You can belive in Santa Caluse and the Easter Bunny too. The tape is there and you can ignore it if you wish. I have already stated ad nauseam he is going to be here next year regardless of what I think about him. Playing Dalton just adds more to the heap of obvious but it's also the best move for Bryce anyways. Nothing is getting better the rest of this season and the rest of the offensive roster could use a few games to prove what they can do without him because he is a large part of the problem on the field in the offense. I don't think he can beat out a decent backup at this point and there really isn’t any untapped potential. Fix his feet and send him out to start earning that new QB in 25 is the plan by defualt.
  24. It's funny because with Tepper any of this kind of lunacy is actually possible.
  25. We can look at Bryce and be very concerned, enough is out there for that. I like that video because it's comparing Bryce to Bryce and that part is the concerning part. He isn't learning or improving when you compare him to himself. And like others have said, there are backups playing now doing more in a couple of games than Bryce has all year, both production and growth. It's not even the historically bad stuff, that's just time filler to me now because there is no actual football worth talking about so back to Bryce or coaching or Tepper. He looks way more limited than any of those guys you mentioned. I went back and watch Manning's rookie year TDs and Ints and that looked nothing like Bryce's in game play. None of them are on the same level of physical talent as Bryce. Not sure about Love honestly, he was a project pick with plenty of physical talent if I remember correctly from that draft and situation, but that is about when I started to pay less attention to the NFL. The part about him not adjusting to pressure well even though it should be normal by now is incredibly concerning because that was Carr's issue also, way above his line's ability also. Ether way he will be here next year and get another shot, well unless Tepper blows up and pulls a Teddy on him. If he comes out next year and with the same issues then it's time to start looking towards the next guy to bring in. There is a lot of film on him now and everything isn't known given the situation but what is known is very very concerning and I think that is fair. I personally think Bryce is creating some of these issues, or magnifying them. I was at the Tampa game and it's worse in person, so much worse.
