Nope. Just one first and next year's 2nd as far as picks. Watson has the leverage not Houston. Fug them and their dumb owner and his right hand mistake.
-
Sounds Like the collegiate level needs to start treating their players like the young adults. Maybe help if they paid them for their work.

Great news! Cancer sucks, that's a loss I can cheer for.
-
Absolutely. I thought a HC might could bridge the gap but Easterby is the turd in the punch bowl. Going to be interesting to watch for sure.
-
McNair kept Easterby, all signs indicate Watson will be gone regardless of their coach choice.
-
He did, it was just a confusing tweet.

He is a solid Vet with upside, his record or ability doesn't concern me. The cost being discussed is concerning and the fact we would have to commit to him before we got a great look at the QB prospects during the draft process would be a huge negative for me.
-
Has a strong arm and a solid brain. For any QB with those two things, they would need something negative to push them out of the first. Too small, injuries, toxic personality or a noodle arm would be reasons reasons viable QB fall and even then we see guy go in the first with concerns.
-
The more options the better at QB. I don't care about the 'experts' value charts, if you see a potential franchise QB you either pull that trigger or suffer. If this guy is this good, I don't see how he makes it out of the first.
-
That would make a lot more sense
-
Who the hell buys in bulk at QB and expects anything good? Buy in quality and pray the others never see the field outside of some runs and victory formations.
-
All these deals seem like better deals for thr clubs trading away then thr clubs trading for. Why the hell would he want Goff if he isn't a free agent? Even then it's filling a space for a year and then do it all over again. If he was a free agent, ok. Its an option if we fail elsewhere. Trading for him? Hell no to him and his contract.

Trading our 8th for Stafford is a no go. The fact we would have to trade it way before we could trade back once or twice makes it a no go. There is no spin that makes this a good thing. It would be a giant failure and a terrible way to begin any good change.

If the Panthers land Stafford, it is win now, not rebuild
Waldo replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Kinda would feel like the ghost of Huney is still with us if they give up anything close to what was being discussed. -
Mike Remmers will start at left tackle in the Superbowl.
Waldo replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
You need to go look at their injury report. Some of those are backups. LT Fisher - 1st OG Osemele - 2nd RT Schwartz - 2nd So that's three injured starters that were drafted in the first 2 rounds through out the year keeping to the idea they value good players that were drafted high, followed by solid backups who were not. Holding the backups as some kind of example to follow is incorrect. -

If it’s not a QB who do you want in the draft
Waldo replied to MGH1989's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sewell is the only player I would want to see drafted at 8 if we can't get a QB right now. Trade back, get an extra 2nd and look to LT then CB in the first. -
I couldn't agree more.
-
Ouch. On the flip side is how Philly imploded by obviously tanking. I just wish Ron wasn't such an idiot with his personal.

Rimmers can't handle speed at all but any coach that doesn't have his head stuck up his butt could scheme around him. -
If he gets out of Green Bay he has a chance to make a couple of Super Bowl appearances with a team like the 49ers. If the Packers are dumb enough to let it happen someone is getting lucky as hell.

How soon will Deshaun and Houston be open to trade talks?
Waldo replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Once Houston signs a HC, the situation should solidify. Their asking price is ridiculous and some of the ideal landing spots for him are better for Houston than Watson, IMO. Will Houston try and keep him as this drags on or will they give in an move along with a portion of their asked compensation? No idea, it very well could take a year of him sitting if he can't find a likable landingspot and Houston to get enough compensation. I could completely see Houston's owner getting involved and making things worse, his disrespect for players being an issue in this dumb situation and at other times in the past. I do know for certain that I am happy to not be discussing this absolute mess about the Panthers. The rest shoukd be a wild ride over the next few months or year. -
That what I'm talking about. I notated that those two teams haven't been drafting impressively and suddenly it's some negativity to our future? I don't want to be like Seattle or NE, be better man. I have heard model and emulate. Fug that, that's all I was saying and it's like well they win so be like Seattle. Take the good toss the rest. My hope at this point is that Seattle has stagnated with their success and lack of pressure from a hands on ownership and we got the best part of that machine.
