  1. Fact. Fair ain't got nothing to do with it. If you are rich and famous you better act and proceed diffently than some random person.
  2. I completely forgot he died. His wife owns the team apparently with the son running it and he is the idiot that opened this can of worms by promising Watson say in on the hiring process. They are the new Browns and any thing is possible at this point.
  3. Have you heard about that owner? Link Anything is possible at this point, it's a freak show down there at the moment. That's all I really know.
  4. Don't we get $8 million back from cutting Teddy? Seems like a great place to start.
  5. All I hear is ticket prices are going up and this is the guy who will be marketing to me. Yay capitalism.
  6. It implies guilt to the public but it can easily be cheaper then legal fees and now in this case new issues. And one thing that lets you say fug the public is lots of fug you money. It would suck if you were innocent but it might not be the worst option by far. If there are enough messages in relevant order to paint a coherent picture of what happened then it will all go public or just be enough to cast doubt. The entire thing stinks. At this point it a lot of possibilities while we wait for an investigated truth.
  7. Accusations hurt, Watson is going to have to deal with this situation before anyone trades for him. It reeks. The lawyer has zero credibility, the timing is amazing, the size of it all makes it hard to believe no one knew and the entire situation was a dumpster fire before this dropped. Houston is making some history however this breaks, and it all looks bad.
  8. He had a chance to pay to make it go away, he wanted to fight it. Now the NFL will 'investigate' so all signs point to a long litigious process for Watson.
  9. Good pickup depending on the contract.
  10. I have no idea, some conflicting readings and known dead ends going in different directions. It certainly isn't boring.
  11. If it was 'Watson or bust' before prodays are done we have much bigger problems. I don't mind the looking but we should wait until we address the Teddy scenario. Once we make the first move then the dominoes start falling. Why put ourselves in a corner over a backup level QB?
  12. I think it's great they yanked it from Direct TV but I'm not giving anything to ESPN. They still have the David Newton as our team reporter. Fug them
  13. Man if we are going Turdbustky then why not another rando? I get the 'maybe we can make it work' aspect but I don't see a reason to jump yet. There will be some vet available post draft. Plus once we pick up a QB we won't get jack for Teddy. I'm hoping a 5th is out there somewhere but I'm more than happy with a flat cut.
  14. At least we can draft another QB in 2022 but gawd both are dark options for us.
  15. Meh, this is post draft garbage diving kind of signing. No reason to do this now.
  16. We did hire a GM who is supposed to be a draft expert...maybe go with our strengths at this time? I'm with you, Tepper pulls this trigger and he is a fugging Jones level moron owner playing with his billion dollar toy.
  17. As long as he is cheap, good job filling the 90 man roster.
  18. Just fugging draft one. I don't want to see us paying Watson prices for a 30+ QB who wants personal input and top pay. Pass!
  19. As long as he is dirt cheap, whatevers. I am guessing we are going pass rush pressure heavy to take strain off of the DBs anyways this year. If we don't hit paydirt in the 3rd or later it will be next year before we inject a high pick or free agent starter at CB. Hopefully Jackson plays his heart out, we let him go get paid elsewhere for a comp pick and get a guy early that is 6'2" with speed mold Rhule and Snow are into, me makes three.
