Tyler Lockett, also paid. The market is setting!
Waldo replied to top dawg's topic in Carolina Panthers
Fug Seattle just pooped the bed for everyone else. And this offseason and not the next when the cap corrects itself. Sucks for us. -
Oline and it's not close right now. LT over TE all day.
-
I know what I don't want and that is a game manager with a suspect arm and/or fear to push the ball down the field when it's being given to them or a gunslinger with not enough brains or situational awareness.
-
It would be great for us if Jones is gone before we pick. I just can't belive that the 49ers would do that until they pull that trigger. I am absolutely on board with your plan if Jones is the QB available at 8. Take a LT and grab a CB next.
-
Maybe but then they were completely wrong. I'm hoping that was more Hurney then the remainder. This is not a team that is near contention with Teddy as a QB. What was it, 0-8? That's non-playoff quality right there. Teddy knew Brady's system last year and looked terrible. Just not worth keeping. If that is Brady's security blanket we would have been better with him leaving this offseason.
-
We are not contending regardless of draft or who plays QB, might as well let the rookie play. Still, we are better off without Teddy than with him in any scenario. There will be a couple of QBs available at Teddy's skill level for dirt cheap after the draft, they are still with teams hoping to trade them...just like Teddy. Save a couple of million and get another whoever.
-
Doesn't matter. We aren't competing with Teddy and if we can save that much money it's a win. If we can't trade him he will be cut, the situation with the team and him isn't going to be reconciled and Tepper can't sell tickets with another year of Teddy after what he did last year. We can sign a cut QB after the draft and still have money left over. What is the difference between Teddy and any other QB laying in the trash pile? Saving millions...

I still don't buy the Jones with the 3rd pick, anything is possible I just can't believe it till it happens. I don't want Jones if he falls to 8, just get a LT and start planning a 2022 high pick. June cut Teddy and do in 2021 what we should have done in 2020.

Love these type of signings. Good stuff.
-
They should take a CB or WR. Or just forget to put in a pick on the clock.

"I'll be shocked if it's not Mac Jones to 49ers."

Not wasting 3 1st rounders on a very limited QB at pick 3? Hell if I know but anything makes more sense than this.
-
Mind boggling. And way ahead of the draft for pick 3. Maybe the Jets are passing on a QB and the 49ers know they are getting getting Wilson. Only thing that comes close to sanity.
-
At that price? Still smells funky.
-
49ers have been solid under Lynch except for QBs. It's crazy but it would be great for us.
-
So they are keeping Jimmy G so they can ripen Mac a year? None of that makes sense. Even if that's to raise G's trade value it still doesn't make sense. None of this makes any sense. What is the 'competition'? How much they can waste and still not have a good QB on the roster? No way they pick Mac at 3, it has to be a smokescreen. It's all just too ridiculous.

If we land Fields do we give him the #1 jersey?
Waldo replied to Gipetto's topic in Carolina Panthers
No. -
I did, saw the tombstones but figured no one would mark the graves. Plus doesn't Vagas have an Uber like company for that?
-
Kind of dated. Where is all of the slot machines, at least one table game and a couple of dead hookers would really make it feel like the new Raiders.
-
If all the QBs and LTs are gone then the only good option is to trade back. TE would be a luxury at this point. Maybe in a couple of years this could be a good move.
-
This has to be a smokescreen. If the 49ers do this they are never going to have a new HC in 2 or 3 years and Seattle has an easy road to thr playoffs again.

No, just wait till they are cut after the draft. I just don't see the need to trade for anything out there if the result is the same, us still needing a starter QB. Just get it for free and not waste any resources.
