The Carolina Panthers should go back to Bryce Young
Waldo replied to jayboogieman's topic in Carolina Panthers
Ward looks solid and he is the best option from the little I have seen. I like what I have also seen from his attitude. Tons of upside and room to improve. He projects well to the NFL IMO. Daniels looks great on a much worse team. Williams looks talented but I bet he will go the Baker route, not because of talent but because of his brain/maturity. Go look at Baker's rookie year numbers and remember who he still was when he came to Carolina, well he didn't leave that way. We couldn't get poo for pressure on Williams and the little we could get he folded on those plays. Heaps of talent and it's going to take a lot of time for him to mature, which is a bad combo with a #1 pick. Whatever, Sanders would be that guy in this draft IMO so do not want. He is so overhyped. -

We are picking 1 or 2, probably 1. Best QBs are in the top 10 sure, not all but most. But since the 2021 draft and that unusual year the 1st pick is not the best pick as a QB. Daniels is absolutely a better QB than Williams. I don't want Sanders either. Stop putting logic in Tepper's moves. If he was logical or reasonable this team wouldn't be a dumpsterfire. It's a red flag of BS. Tepper is capable of anything but the good I will belive them it finally happens because it has not ever yet. They already had a #1 pick and epically blew it. I'm fine with the #2 with this crew. Our GM was in the room when they drafted Young so it's not like there has been massive change from that historical failure. Take a breath and don't get it twisted is my advice. This crew put together a team earning a top pick 2 years in a row and your worried about missing out and not them making a bad pick again which should be the real worry. -

We do not. The best QB is not usually at the top. The idea Tepper trades back goes agaisnt everything he is. He absolutely loved the spotlight and people being forced to talk about him after that trade. And they will still likely end up with it anyways. If the coaching doesn't improve it's damn near a lock. -

Cutting him is perfectly fine too but gwtting anyone to take him is better at any price. He is unplayable. If Dalton looks that bad then Young will look worse. He literally won't throw past the LOS unless the D is playing prevent. It worked for a few plays 2? Weeks ago and didn't on Sunday after they had that many plays of film on what to expect. It's a bad take. He isn't Baker or Darnold. He is worse than Russell. They already secured a top 3 pick. That doesn't matter. It's a lock given the state of the team and coaching. -

It's right not to start Young. It's right to try and trade him for a 7th 3 years out. This guy is absolutely wrong on his take. Dalton might be bad but young is historical bad. Your right this guy is throwing poo. His entire take is just throwing poo even if it's in his own face. There is absolutely no advantage to starting Young and more than a few disadvantages. -
Which guy is cheap for a 2 year deal? No trades and no overpaying for any of that. If it's not a rookie early this year it will be a rookie early the year after.

This is the guy who was saying 'you don't know' after freaking 16 games of Young last year. Yeah we knew. Without upside there isn't anything to hope to improve. This is just the radio filling time in-between advertisements. -
Trade anyone for anything, it doesn't matter and better people should have better outcomes than the Seahawk failure club we have going on here lately. Obviously guys on cap breaking deals and young guys performing well not on their last year of their rookie deals are out. Fire the president and promote Tillis, the new Tepper buffer. Hire a NFL consultant and let them do the hiring with Tillis. Send the Teppers overseas for the entire process. Fire Morgan and start the GM search early. Notify DC the new HC search is underway and fire him after the last game. Fire the scouts (just put them in a room until after the draft and then fire them, or turn them lose on the rest of the NFL for all I care at this point). Let the GM and HC meet to discuss like Lynch and Shanny, I also prefer they not have worked closely before like those 2. Everyone should get a options in their contracts that if Tepper meddles they all get their full contact at that moment. That's my wish list. Or just keep doing the same crap in new ways. It's like watching someone mop with filthy water around here. Until Tepper steps back and puts a real football guy in charge at the top nothing meaningful will change.

Prepare your mind for Bryce's return. Dalton is bad.
Waldo replied to TD alt's topic in Carolina Panthers
It looks like they went out and got the Young of HCs to pair with him. Even the Bucs are doing much better without him. The game yesterday was so poorly coached. It's time to burn it all down. One and done is becoming a viable and justifiable option. -

We have all seen that already. The only people questioning it still are those who just don't want to believe it. All we can do is wait to see if there is one believer running a team out there to trade with. Having to play him much more will just result in having to bring him into camp next year and hopefully make him a cut to get to 53. -
I just do other things and tune out if it's as bad as the 2nd half of last year. I'm just not sure if it's going to turn around until Tepper sells or dies. It's a Snyder situation apparently. And then there is Nicole...

He isn't fooled. He just likes guys who are terrible or not ready for thr gig, too soon or too late. He has a thing for being sold and he keeps getting sold bags of poop. He has zero idea of how any of this should be run and his input is even worse than the people he hires. He didn't hire help with the GM hire who he promoted be cause they liked him after a disastrous year of terrible work and he stacked the HC hire with Caldwell while ending up with the GMs friend. All while keeping the weird and unearned Seahawks pipeline open for whatever mysterious reason. That's not being fooled but being a fool.

Young to Miami (Trade proposal via fox)
Waldo replied to DaveThePanther2008's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's too good to be true. We are going to have to wait until the offseason. I'm fine with a straight cut but would be happy with any compensation they can get for Young. -
Sounds more patched up than fixed. He is on a 1 year deal for 10 mil. Go ahead and sign him to a 30+ deal and cut some talent to make room for that contract and see it less patched up.

Better than Thomas. Sanders isn't a good blocker yet but he still at least looks at Thomas' level if not a smidge better.

Well I wanted to burn it all down and they are doing an incredible job of making that happen. -
DC is looking like a Young of HCs. His passing game is predictable and he isn't adapting well. Also if he was so good working with QBs then why can't he see what Dalton is and isn't while working with that reality?
-
DC isn't it. He is just a guy running someone else's offense blindly.

BREAKING: Miles Sanders available for trade
Waldo replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'm not even sure eating cap helps drum up a trade. Behind this line he has been pedestrian. If not a trade then they need to start looking towards finding an excuse to IR him. That has zero to do with Brooks. He is in the way and Chuba needs someone to rotate. -
It's a system where when you mess up it starts slipping. We are the example of that. The Saints have slipped with the Carr contract. He isn't worth that and it's showing. Now they have to dump good talent and wait to eat their mistakes. They also could have sold on some guys earlier. It's not like they are bad at drafting.
-
That's a great sign. I wasn't sure where he was at now but I knew where he was coming from.

Fields could be serviceable. My problem is his attitude and the fact a young guy will get drafted sooner than later because Fields is a bridge guy. He didn't come in with a great attitude if you have heard the stories of his rookie year with Foles I believe. I'm not sure he is ready to be that guy yet and might need another year of maturity. He is a bridge guy at this point in his career, his passing skills need long-term work but he can start if the situation isn't bad.
