The only reason not to fire Rhule is money. Pure and simple.
Waldo replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Just like keeping Darnope because of his guaranteed money next year it doesn't matter, that money was always wasted at the moment the decision was made. Both can be moved on from because 'using already comited to money' (not saving) vs trying to be competitive without their deadweight is the conversation. With both its easy to see the second path is the correct way to go. We will see. It's time to see what Tepper is doing with the Panthers. Clean up the mess or show he is an idiot owner with a crap product not worth spending time an money on. -
But it was so close... And we get to try again lol

What if Rhule hires NFL Coordinators and positions coaches?
Waldo replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Rhule would still be a terrible liability due to his lack of skills, knowledge and ability. Polishing the turd another year doesn't change the fact it was a bad hire and isn't working. -
Trust the process LOL

Panthers: 'Why not agian?'

Sam Darnold likely starting again for last few games
Waldo replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope you are right. What I fear is an organization stuffed with incompetence that will rally around Rhule to keep the statis quo for another year of worse Pantherball. Fingers crossed -
Sam Darnold likely starting again for last few games
Waldo replied to Saca312's topic in Carolina Panthers
It makes it all so much easier to boo. I can't wait to see it hit rock bottom. The best I can hope for at this point is Sam will want to retire before next year. -
I don’t know what the future holds but the current Panthers are not worth watching live at any cost. I haven't been to a game live in 2 years and don't want to go until it is something worth spending money on. Not selling PSLs yet, deffinatly on the table but they are effectively worthless, so I give them to family or sell them or let them go empty. The entire experience has been on decline for years sadly. Just lol on the rest. Hating on people walking away from the financial burden just makes it feel like a cult. Watching at home is a great experience. For our quality of team yearly now, it is a mercy. Hell I don't want to go to the movies anymore either. Going to a Panthers game now is like going to Disney world when the rides are down.

After 3 games (all wins) what was your opinion on...
Waldo replied to SizzleBuzz's topic in Carolina Panthers
The first 3 games, the D looked great more than Sam looked good. Sam looked like he was playing at his ceiling witch is functional backup but it also looked like the other teams were not very good. It was early in the year, the football is always sloppy and that's what it looked like. Well that and 2 really bad teams and a crippled Saints team. -
Sounds nice but the people in charge laid a giant turd this offseason. Expecting them to suddenly get better at evaluation is something I am heavily skeptical about. The house cleaning I was referring to needs to happen in the coaching staff and the front office. CMC is done at RB. If he isn't willing to make a move to WR then we should do something with him.

Clean house. We can do some moves to free up Cap. Unfortunately that would require a crew that A) has a clear visions, B) has a clear blueprint to make it happen and C) have the skill and experience to pull it off. This organization is lacking all 3. But there are some hard moves we could make to free up cap. It just wouldn't really matter because all indications are these people would jus blow it again anyways. Fug'em.

We are DOOMED! Panthers expect Rhule back for 2022...WTF
Waldo replied to usmcpanthers's topic in Carolina Panthers
Seriously, don't hold back. -
Could Cam be 2022 Taysom Hill for the Panthers?
Waldo replied to musicman's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sam is here for now. I still think he is gone in most circumstances. No new coach would want him unless they plan to tank. If we June 1st him we would have enough money to sign a better replacement, think about the $6 million and under contracts to QBs this past year. They could also trade him and eat most but not all of his contract. The only ways I see Sam being back next year is if they bring Rhule back or make that part of the deal for a new HC. I see both of those as failures so I hope that does not happen. I don't know what will happen but we did get away from Teddy, Samnshould be no different just a bigger hit for such a stupid move. -
Well, Sam was an MVP if you use 3 weeks of play and project those numbers out for a years worth of stats...Analicticks (yep on purpose)

Skip Bayless “the Carolina panthers are a clown show”
Waldo replied to philw5289's topic in Carolina Panthers
Skip Bayless is the Mat Rhule of sports entertainment industry. So absolutely true. -
Yep, all Rhule can do is wait for a turnover and put in Darnold to justify his trade and the 'vision'...so grab the popcorn and be ready for a desperate man who is ridiculously underprepared for the poostorm that he created showing up in full force. Tepper needs to figure out how to respectfully acknowledge Cam's exit this time. It won't be coming from Rhule, didn't the first time and I doubt he is any happier the second time. Say goodbye, shake a hand and get him out from under Rhule's implosion. Give Rhule what he wants: Sam.

Mike Florio rags on Rhule, Darnold and the Panthers
Waldo replied to BlitzMonster's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's Florio, it's not about quality but just the fact it's starting to be publicly acknowledged about Rhule. The other guy in the video is basically a talking point with a face and little else. You chose wisely. -
Mike Florio rags on Rhule, Darnold and the Panthers
Waldo replied to BlitzMonster's topic in Carolina Panthers
He was never going to fix that line, coaching or the awful decisions made this offseason the dug the gave for the Panther's 2021 season. He was just a fun injection to a fanbase that was checking out and allowed us to not need a 3rd year to confirm this crew needs to be fired now.- 30 replies

Rhule doesn't have Urban to hide behind anymore. It's going to be a brutal end to this disappointing but not surprising season.- 30 replies

I gave Garrett a chance in NY and he failed spectacularly. I swear he has somekind of magnetic attraction to dysfunction. I'm with you sir. Hard pass if that's his answer at a staff.

HAHAHA! We are now officially saved in 2022.

100%. It's a joke to compare the first 6 games of any year to the playoffs. Pretending that 3-0 stretch was more than ugly ball wins just shows their NFL fan experience or blinders. Hell we were still questioning our team in week 8 in 2015 yet people here believed this year at 3-0. Yike As the year has progressed, this team has regressed. That's an unavoidable truth. Teams are out there gearing up for the real season and we are going to try a 2 or 3 QB system game...

So we were performing at our best when the football is at its worst and teams are still getting up to speed against other really bad teams or teams missing players and coaches to the Vid? I guess for a college coach that would feel like excellence in the NFL. The playoffs would blow his mind and destroy his soul lol. This group can't even hit average, excellence is a foreign language to them. He obviously doesn't know WTF he is talking about.
