It's called treading water but some see it as an improvement. Poop in and poop out. We already have a slightly worse version of that and a rookie who needs to see the field. Just another reason why Rhule should have been fired already and be talking about another staff's game plan to improve in a 2 ro 3 year window and not this staff trying to not fail again in year 3.

Panthers have second most cap space in the NFL
Waldo replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I still can't believe we made such a move for Watson and now I can't belive we are letting our cap situation be that bad for next year when we have time to rework those deals to eat it all this year and level it out for next year... -
The Panthers are the worst rated team in Madden 23
Waldo replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
More like 20 years. PS2 1999 was the best franchise mode I can remember and it was downhill since I quit playing around 2009. -
What more could you ask for in those spots? Dude is a legend for that.
-
If he was starting for you then the worst had already happened. He was great in those spots, like you said high energy and fun. Win or lose, it was worth watching.
-
He was the guy you wanted when you swung and missed on another QB. Good dude and more fun than watching a dud die on the field every Sunday. I saw where he was in talks to do Thursday games? I think he would be a great game commentator. Smart and has personality.

Panthers terminating Rock Hill project agreements
Waldo replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
I thought that there was a proposed big mixed use development around the Rock Hill facilities? Wouldn't that have been even more profit and taxes? It was: When completed, the development will include restaurants, retail, a healthcare facility, apartments, hotels, trails, and office space. I guess there was not enough profit in the apartments and such to make it worth the squeeze. Then again I wouldn't live in Rock Hill either. I also wonder how much the pandemic and economic downturn played a roll in the nuking of the project? -
Yup to the first part and OMFG to the second. The truth is even Ron buckled under Tepper. The 3-4 switch. Cam being completely ruined and then CMC lined up to be the next one up to be run into the ground. Maybe we can bring Ron back so that Tepper gets exposed for something and has to sell the team? I know it's not Ron's fault but dude is 2-0 to be HC when an owner goes down hard is all I am saying...

How about after a 5th lol? It wouldn't be as bad if we could at least ditch Rhule and upgrade the staff again, like how it could have been 2 years ago and not the ducttape version where the best coach by far is our ST coach followed by the DB coach...

If it gets PSL holders out of those contracts the it sounds like a win at this point.

Panthers terminating Rock Hill project agreements
Waldo replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
Kroenke is a dislikable human but he got the Chargers to pay him premium rent and a deal with the NFL with kickbacks to let them use the facility as a media base. Dude is smart for sure. Plus LA doesn't have to give anyone a reason to be there, it's been premium real estate for decades. None of that will happen in Carolina and I am sure that is what allowed the NFL to let him do that stadium that way. -

It is a black eye when you add in all the rest and the fact he is a billionaire that I am guessing will try and flip this to his advantage in a way Tepper is known for. We were better before Tepper than after. Until a lot changes for the better that is a fact. We went from mediocre and mildly dysfunctional to just bad and openly dysfunctional. -

More mishaps than successes to date. It's not just bitching but what has become a growing list of red flags and failures. 4 losing years in a row hasn't left a lot of room for celebration and positivity. Now the soccer team looks to be headed in the same direction. When something actually changes then let's start talking about that but at this point it's still headed in the wrong direction. That isn't pie clout but unhappy customers. -

This entire thing is bizarre and toxic. All of it. Both teams and the way everything is run. It's a usual business function but it also looks like crap. I was sure the county was going to step up but now it is nuked. I think the teams being moved is very much on the table if he can't get his new mega stadium. -
I know I just wish we were talking about how we use him and why he performed better when he did and what we are going to do about it. The weight thing just sounds like noise compared to actual substance even if 5 lbs can help big guys body stress in the NFL.
-
I'm all for a big man find the good weight but 5 lbs? IDK, Brown just looks like a guy with talent but not used in the best way to maximize his effectiveness.

James Borrego / Matt Rhule…. Is their a worse 1-2 combo
Waldo replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sounds like he is trying to take the soccer team with him when the city doesn't build his new toilet bowl...err stadium. -
