What went wrong? The Sam Darnold Experiment (Video)
Waldo replied to CarolinaLivin's topic in Carolina Panthers
Forever Sam. It went wrong when they made him a QB. -

Goodell showing up to Congress. Perfect rug to hide any other problems under now lol. -
Add sexual assault to the Dan Snyder allegations
Waldo replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
After getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar? Everyone suspected where the Gruden emails came from and this just feels like more of that. Before this I would still be skeptical but it looks like a shifting situation. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy lol -

Considering everything else that has gone on up there it was just a matter of time until something shook lose on Dan himself. What a POS -
Watson's people expecting a full season suspension
Waldo replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hope the last 4 drag it out for the guy and cash out a hell of a lot more than 1 mil they were reporting after his new contract, he deserves it. -
This is not a place for optimism, again sadly. Let's talk when Rhule is fired and we are looking at a new coaching staff without Hurney in the room. That's when optimism re-enters the conversation in Pantherland.

CJ has upside and Donte is just overpriced now. Maybe we can unload him to a needy team if CJ steps up because if he does then he is heads and shoulders above Donte who is a little meh with speed.

How prepared are you for another hilariously miserable season?
Waldo replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I want to go to a game where Corral starts. That's it. It's been 2 dead ass years under Rhule and Covid. It would be nice to laugh and chant 'Fire Rhule' for one game. -

All of that. There should be no place to hide left at this point. The crowds, the broadcast crews and the media can all teach Tepper why a token 3rd year was not needed for anyone with a set of eyes and a brain. Player development is the only place I have any positive hope left at this point and even that is tampered by the reality of it all. -
The 33rd Team names three NFL teams that are "stuck in neutral"
Waldo replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
They are all extremely well paid and a lot of them enjoy that job, even if they lose. I would think this includes the ones that don't love the job or are staring at a contract year where this interferes with their chances. Even on a bad team, it's a fun job that has a great minimum pay scale and all of them have been doing it a long time. Can't argue with them looking at it all and going WTF then switching over to ohh well. -

I'm going to enjoy the laughs all the way. I don't think there is any chance we win more than 7 games but that's fine with me. Bad teams usually pick high and have talent on the roster but don't win regardless. That is us since Tepper showed up. I was incredibly dubious of Rhule once I heard him speak after we hired him. I cheered anyways but those times died after they traded for Sam. Well what sounded full of poop turned out to be 100% full of poop. If you can't win then watching bad things happen to bad people is good enough for now. It's not what I wanted but it is not uncommon with a new owner in the NFL sadly. So let the laughs begin and may the tears of the unbelievers taste refreshing because it's not like we have another realistic option. Rinse and repeat. -

NFL Network analyst suggests Rhule needs Mayfield to save his job
Waldo replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Won't really matter even if we do bring him in and I am still not convinced Tepper is even ready to admit to his massive Rhule sized failure. 3rd losing season incoming either way. -
How much would you trade for Baker for 1 year rental?
Waldo replied to Cam's New Arm's topic in Carolina Panthers
A 3rd and 4th would be worth the cost to eat his cap and the eat Sam's after we cut him. 2nd sounds fair. Not even sure a straight up swap with Sam is really good enough. I don't care about either of those turds. The only QB I am interested in seeing play next year is Corral. -

He still doesn't even know. This is the year duh...it's going to be funny watching him realize what a chode he hired at a price that makes him look like a clown -

I have been on that train since they traded for Sam but I know they will do anything to change it up again. It is the easy way and Tepper doesn't know jack and will let it happen. -
I get the entertainment side and that is fine, it's entertainment which is purely preference. The baby and the bath water saying comes from when a family used to share a bath so when they got down to washing the baby last the water was so dirty they had to remind themselves not to throw the baby out with the filth, great analogy and in this case because I can't tell the difference nor do I care because that baby isn't worth saving from anything I have witnessed from it. Just this year the platform has ramped up efforts to deal with the misinformation that is rampant there. Do what you want but that is not an uncommon view of that platform.

Right between Flat Earthers and the truth deniers lol. The only thing good on YouTube is HowTo videos.
-
All of the 24 hr cycle stuff did on cable. They had to fill the spaces and then it took over. I'm not sure the news did the hot take BS ESPN feed viewers but they skipped to the entertainment news hard. There is still good news out there but people only want to hear what they believe that is the cesspool YouTube provides.
-
So sports reporting in my life went from journalism to hot take to opinion entertainment lol... Well if ESPN died maybe YouTube will be next. Just seems like a different version of hot take sports BS by dragging it out. Not sure which is less enjoyable to me. Well to each their own, try not to kill too many brain cells.
