  1. Just run the damn ball. It's not exciting but it's been effective. Keep Dalton to under 30 passes a game and run the ball. DC keeps trying to be a pass first team and it's not going to work this year. Adapt or look like fools.

His tendency to body catch makes him a project alone. I'm not grading everyone else on the first 2 games, that was about Bryce and this teams past mistakes. He was always a project compared to the other guys they could have drafted who were much more NFL ready. What was the stat, good WRs produce immediately now and don't really have a slump? He looks closer to Mingo and TMJ then the guys doing well now in his draft class. He is a project and always was. Hopefully he can become an Evens but he looks more like our regular 2nd round WRs and that's not good. And the GM was part of the failed staff last year so no passes on that either. If Dan would have come out and drafted like Fritters wasn't still here anymore then I would give him one but it's way too similar for me. DC wants to pass when he needs to run so it's not like he isn't comparable to the past failures either. His expensive oline is falling apart also. He has all year to prove himself but nothing but benching Bryce looks good yet. It's early but there are plenty of earned criticisms.
  3. I would rather get middle of the pack OGs in free agency and trade for TEs that are underutilized in their current offense. Paying top money to free agents is a bad strategy IMO.
  4. I'm done expecting projects to be fine. When they are I will celebrate but we have seen a few not make it here. Like I said, I'm happy he is getting the reps he is getting.
  5. Needing talent and not drafting for guys who are not projects is an issue. It's been an issue and remains an issue. Wallace looked promising yesterday in a big role but the rest is not what the team desperately needed so far. Johnson and Jackson were positives for sure. Splurging on OGs with Corbett at C with a now also injured URFA and BC behind him are a negatives IMO. Now I think damn near the entire oline is injured in some way? Sanders stinks and he was one of his guys last year. The XL trade was a negative and there were just flat out better guys available. Robinson was also just the lowest graded guy on D, with Sly playing well inside. The only hope lies in the guys who started the year injured that are coming back. I get it was a huge task to turn around what's been going on here and what he was handed before last year when he was AGM but it's not all rosy. I wasn't a fan of his promotion but I hoped he would prove me wrong. There are plenty of red flags even if he has had some green ones too.
  6. Sanders is another project and unfortunately most don't work out. I like him and hope he makes it but he needs lots of work. I'm not mad at him just was hoping for a better learning curve with the reps he has had. I would settle for a guy who could unseat Thomas but it keeps not happening.
  7. Yeah I don't know either. It's so bad at so many other places but I assumed he was on man when healthy, especially with the poo show everywhere else. He keeps looking like he was expecting help over the top on a bunch of his bad plays. Yesterday was just worse with a rookie getting the green dot and guys dropping along the way. We're fugged either way so even if they blow it like every other time they should still try to do it the right way. He is on year 3 so next year is the time they should trade him by if they are not 100% on a second contract. I'm not sold on his health but he has only gone more than 5 games once in his career healthy which was 8 I believe. Keep him until the end of the year and see where it goes unless they get a Burns type offer is my take.
  8. I like seeing Croker and Wallace up there and then it all goes down hill. Damn Corbett had his come back to earth game and then got IRed. Tremble should be out a while and Sanders needs to play better than Ian freaking Thomas. So Tuttle had a good game and Robinson was the worst graded player on D? I didn't even know Cherelus was on the roster lol.
  9. And he isn't getting help anywhere but Jackson. Still he has looked off this year.
  10. I get that but his play has been off since game 1.
  11. He also looks like he needs safety help...which isn't coming apparently. I don't know what's changed but he doesn't look the same.
  12. I'm starting to hope he is the scapegoat this year. He isn't a good GM. It's looking like more of the same. It's like 1 good thing per 2 or 3 bad things.
  13. I disagree. It doesn't matter because Tepper is all in on terrible or underqualified people. He is a magnet for failures.
  14. Not surprising. They should have never leaned on him anyways. Morgan was here last year and should have known that.
  15. I agree but Rhule and Fritterer were what happens when the people retooling are terrible at talent evaluation and team building, neither should have been hired. It's still a 2 year fix in the modern NFL if you have good people...which I don't think we have yet. That's the pivot point, good people doing the work. That's also been the problem here. The roster quality is just the effect of terrible hiring. Change that and it would turn around in a small window.
  16. It's how they got to where they are at. And it's the biggest reason they will stay there until something changes on that front in a big way.
  17. It's dramatic because the NFL is built to allow that comeback. It's not the 70's pre free agency. We just haven't had the people to be able to do much good. That is much worse than the roster level IMO because it's how we got here and why we will stay here if it doesn't change. Tampa was last in the division in 2018 and won a SB in 2021. They were second by a game in 2020 and that weird season. That's not even looking outside of the NFCS. In 2 years a team can dramatically turn it around if they do good things and not the crap this team has been doing for years.
  18. It's 2 years in the modern NFL. That's taking the NFCS and making the playoffs as a likely to be bounced team. And again they didn't try to tear it down but just have done everything poorly. 2 years of great management would be the 2 year turnaround. Your being dramatic. It's likely years because Tepper keeps hiring poorly and managing them poorly not because it can't be turned around that quickly. Wilks built culture on a bad team in half a season so again it's is even attainable for that guy who is a dinosaur in the modern NFL.
  19. The better the drafting the quicker the turn around. This team could be good in 2 years with good drafting, especially given the likely picking order starting this offseason. We are talent devoid from poor drafting and poor team building from people that should never have been working here but IF that ever changes then it's just a 2 year process as long as we don't trade away our future again like last year. It's not like any other NFCS team is a powerhouse so it's an attainable goal in theory. It's was failed retool after retool since 2019 with bad trades along with bad drafting and plenty of bad pro-personnel along the way so it wasn't an intentional teardown, it was incompetence run wild. Tepper hires poorly and I'm not certain that doesn't include this current crew yet. How long at the bottom will be determined by who is in charge which is how they got here. Now that could take him another 10 years or maybe never but the cause was always with who he hired and how badly they have done their jobs and not because they chose a teardown because none of them did choose a rebuild or tear down, those idiots were trying to retool the entire time. It's really amazing how badly they all fugged this team and how much money they all made in doing so.
  20. People got way to excited about his win. The talk of years more of his service was telling. Dalton is also one of those 'we need an upgrade of talent' too. Could it be worse? Yes. But he was a backup in the end of his career so asking him to shoulder wins week in and out is just a bad plan. Lean on the run game, let him cook around that and try to get Evero to call a better game on the other side with the RBs carrying the clock.
  21. He folds under pressure and he only plays well when he out talents the D while looking scared when the other team plays up to him. I remain unimpressed for a guy with that much physical talent. He should have looked like a football god yesterday against our D but he did not. Can't get much easier than the Ds you guys have faced the last two games. It's a poo show here. Good luck to yall.
  22. That's awesome! I loved seeing the kids excited and getting into the quality stuff so it's great to hear you getting kids to love the game! Yeah it's where he shines, practice and garbage time when there are no blitzes or prevent D giving him a chance to throw past the LOS. His ceiling is so low it's frustrating to watch. I'm hoping it's to drum up a trade or something but I know they will roll him out there again this year even knowing he doesn't have what it takes to be a quality backup right now let alone a top 32 QB in the NFL.
  23. Both apparently. The early picks probably have more fingers on the scales but the later guys aren't hitting either. Could be worse but it's not good and that needs to change. If they can't have better drafts then they need to clean house.
  24. You definitely picked the better game to watch lol. I did not detect it so my apologies. I miss watching my nephew play flag ball. Now he is in HS and it's all basketball. Watching kids work on their plays with the wrist bands was so fun. Good luck in your next game!
