They don't even have a legit reason to fire him, he is as advertised and he let go of the play calling which is about the only thing you could directly blame him for with their 'collaborative effort' BS they got going on (more like 'easy to dodge blame' system). He didn't build the team. He didn't draft anyone. He was a non-playcalling OC that year in Philly. In Indy he proved what he is and he just brought that same bag here. He was just experienced enough to know how to sell the Teppers in the interviews. Have what they want to hear ready, sound knowledgeable with a little easy prep and kiss that ass until they give you a contract to sign. Dude looked online at some stats and then had a sales pitch ready. Since he went to Indy his quality was known and it wasn't that good. If anything he actually found a way to do his worst here which is the only thing impressive he has done since being hired. I don't even know who they would tab to take over. Caldwell? LOL. Brown? So Frank can go prove he was right a 3rd time...and fail again like the first 2 times? Campen so that unit can flourish playing against their strengths under Kugler? The guy who was with Houston in 21 and here since then and little else worth mentioning about his capabilities. It's all so stupid and there really isn't any good moves if they are not burning it down and flipping everyone on the FO staff and coaching staffs to do a proper rebuild from the ashes. They can fire Fritterer but how much was he told to do and does anyone want to hire a GM to work with Frank because that is how they got a low quality GM like Fritterer in the first place. It's a shitshow and my guess is they either fire Frank or Scott at a weird time (like the way they fumbled the Rhule firing) as the screws come off behind the scenes or too much blame lands back on the Teppers to make any meaningful change possible so they just roll with 'being patient' which really translates into 'I don't want to admit my mistakes and there are no easy ways out so let me distance my self for a couple of months and just pretend I had nothing to do with all of this'. I think it will be option 2.

He hasn't changed since he was at and fired from Indy, why would you expect him to change now? Who isngoing to take the blame? They are not fixing anything so it's blame time. Brown gets fired? Sounds familiar

Similar huge misses on QBs and team building. IDK, I didn't watch much about that trainwreck.

Yeah there are endless Nicoles to throw at him along the way. All I know is that you can convince that man of anything if you have the ability to BS him in the ways he likes. Just do what Rhule did and say he is just another Teddy. It has literally already worked on him once
-
I could. I couldn't sleep at night after having to lie and pander to him but I think I could. That is the largest reason the team got to this point in 5 seasons.
-
Ohh they won't do it and that is why they will fail. Fire the dummies and trade Bryce vs trading away any talent left on that side of the ball and continue to get worse talent wise like they have since Fritterer got here. They are going to do a giant retool the wrong way and it's going to be worse than this run. That is what I see coming for next year.
-
He is so special that he can just make all that work. The real question is why would they tear it down for him when he is the easiest player to replace and get better...Because they have to make it work which just shows it's going to get worse. He is doomed here either way.
-
This is the future and it's going to get brutal from here.
-
Not much to look forward to and I think that says everything. The sooner the team moves on from the people that have to justify the pick the sooner we get a real look at him doing things those people have gone to great lengths to avoid. Start at Bryce under center plays with power running and then some play action under center while seeing if that helps open up the other parts of the offense.

David Tepper has to be the most hated man in Carolina right?
Waldo replied to TeppersEgos's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't think they do blackouts anymore. If they did they may not have shown the Colts game. The stands looked empty, I know my seats were. -
It would help the oline and running game tremendously. That should only help everyone else. I hope they try it.
-
Finally something we agree on. I think the oline wouldn't be hard. The rest is a big unknown.
-
The players and coaches too. Tepper is a football moron but he wants to be loved so it's not going to affect him the way it should but it will hit his ego. He makes money with it empty or full. It was always about his ego beyond that.
-
There it is. Not the pmay but the situation. Pickles earned us Cam and helped get Hurney fired which resulted in the Panthers best years.
-
Sorry Happy Gilmore not Maddison. That one was really childish. Also Little Nicky was fun.

We finally got that tank season many of us were calling for

So many PSL licenses end in 24. I'm not sure it's going to matter either. -

A tank season without the hope of a rebuild that is so desperately needed. They are going to try and build around Bryce and it's going to be more embarrassment and failure. Maybe next year lol. We could have a few coming down the pipeline if the current level of team building competency holds. -
Kind of like the home games? The Dallas game is going to be it's own kind of protest and that one should be effective in its embarrassment.
-
That, Big Daddy and the waterboy were his best. All childish but funny.
-
Pickles was the worst QB I have ever seen. I am so underwhelmed with everything Bryce is but even I can't say they are similar. The outcome may be similar but that has everything to do with them going 'all in on Bryce' and not just calling it what it is, a huge mistake they need to own so they can then move forword with some shred of competency. Keep trying to build around Bryce at the team's expense and tank next year also.
-
It's like hiring an atomic bomb to work for Mr Magoo. It's so obvious what the outcome is already. A young guy gets time and is actually learning vs an old hand who will have to produce ASAP. This team isn't going to be fixed in one season and that is what those expectations become day 1. They don't have the talent or resources to do a one year turn around, being semi competent by the end of next year is the most hope I could scrape together at this point.

Owners can't fire themselves. There is probably a strategy meeting about where the blame should go because they are all clueless. Expect more not less at this point. Tepper had a hand in it or he could blame someone for this mess but in the end it always starts with him.
