  1. If this gets worse and not better with Reich gone it's going to be very entertaining in that building.
  2. It's a legit concern. They did say he was listening to too many people.
  3. But there was a censensus in the people who make mock drafts for a living... That missed how his height is an issue when he had to find a gap in the line to launch pad his deep throws. And his feet issues. Just ignore the pro-ready stuff talk they were so sure about. Media hype is worth nothing and this is a great case why it's mostly entertainment and little more. Ohh wait our owner is dumb enough to actually use it to pick 'his' guys.
  4. Great listen. He hit on a lot of good stuff. Needing a tam builder vs playcaller HC is a solid take. Giving Teppers other issues itmakes sense even if it'snot what I would like to see. The best is when he said how Tepper doesn't get how the league works. The consensus take was shattering to some common myths around here. 'He has to hire people that are not scared of him' to get an honest opinion. Read about history? I fugging wish he would. It would save him so much time and wasted seasons left figuring stuff out others already put on display. No honesty and everyone is out for survival, the brutal truth. Clean the entire house please.
  5. LoL. So he is going to walk with 4 or 5 years of pay and just go bounce back to school? Didn't that guy already use Tepper to get a raise already a little while back? What a terrible idea.
  6. Peters is the only one I would be thrilled about at this point. He wouldn't take the job unless the entire internal system was changed up to something functional. He has seen where this club has to go if it really wants to turn around. I just don't know enough about who is really who anymore. Some of the floated names are big old eye rolls like some of the HC prospects. I get that it could happen but some really shouldn't in this specific case.
  7. Sometimes they say that or keep them until after the draft. Replacing him now would allow them to get started on interviews and let candidates have more time to plan so that's also a plus. Just depends on who is pulling the triger and what they feel like doing. I hope you are right. See if he is still next to Tepper at games next.
  8. If so then it's absolutely going to get worse but at least it will be entertaining. I'm so emotionally removed from the staff and players that it can get hilariousbat times. Not what I wanted but it has it's moments. Tepper's last press conference was that for me.
  9. All I have heard is pure speculation. He obviously should be but that's not the same as actually being on the hot seat. Didn't Tepper even mention being on the same page or something? It looks like he won the blame struggle between him and Frank to me. Tepper has aleays thrown his anger around and it looks like Scott holds up well with it or he would have crumbled before Frank ever got here.
  10. Looking really bad. Has anyone seen even anything about him being on the hot seat yet? It looks like he is in lockstep with Tepper so far. It's feesable he even survives Young if that keeps going on it's current trajectory.
  11. They had a team meeting and I see they are on the same page with glazed eyes and looking like they are all reading the same hostage note. Yikes at all of that. I guess the good news is there isn't enough energy in the entire place to have any lockerroom issues?
  12. The Panthers are the new joke team until they are not anymore. Get used to it because it looks like a long-haul situation.
  13. Being terrible is the end result with or without care. Just trying really is the same difference in the end, it's juat 1 of the problems you are hyper focused on. The poor management and support is the same in the end. Right now Tepper doesn't even have the ability to buy wins and he is trying. If BY ends up being treated like Cam, TB and the other duds they brought in then you're just reaching on painting a nicer picture then what's been going on around here. Look at the supporting cast, coaching and front office support. Yeah, trying is not what the issue is around here. It's gross incompetence. Most wouldn't have the option or knowledge of how to pull it off. The Mannings do.
  14. In that case yes but it was also more. Turns out he came out and said his dad took the heat for him but left it vague. Link. It was also how they ran the team. Brees, Leaf and other history I don't know or remember. Tepper's cash isn't an issue here but how it really hasn't helped him yet regardless of how much he burns is. How the Byce saga goes down would heavily effect this type scenario but given his history of the other QBs he's had I would expect nothing less than brutal.
  15. Ben already turned down easy money last year to go back to being an OC. Tepper will get someone but this looks more like a wish. Guy has the pick of the litter and if he is half as smart as he looks then he will use Tepper's offer to seal a better deal with a team that let's him do his vision vs Tepper's mess. Seems like a real longshot.
  16. And he had 2 SB champ kids. He was absolutely right when he told hos kid to not go to SD.
  17. Lol thought I typed grandkid. Still holds
  18. You have been seeing it for the last 6 years.
  19. Manning isn't going to let his kid come to the Panthers. They won't have to try next year. It's set up already. All they have to do is not piss away any more future 1sts and it's a top 5 pick.
  20. He looks to want to win and build something over just money. Try seeing what GM he would work with and whatelse it would take to make it work. I'm not huge on a HC picking a GM, I would rather see the opposite (I don't want to see anything else from SF). Tepper isn't getting rid of HIS GM and he isn't becoming more 'hands off' either. Expect a lot less then a Ben Johnson.
  21. So he can pull a Frank and walk with a sweet retirement package? Tepper really does not learn. He needs someone that has a career ahead of them and not behind them. And that's just to start.
  22. Rhule targeted it to the point of trying to get rid of 'Keep Pounding' and ended up turning it into 'Get Pounded' by accident. He burned it down and left ashes. Wilks set up a solid one from the ashes in a short time and then Tepper decided to not care about the football stuff he doesn't understand.
  23. He was fine not building his staff in Arizona and Tepper put his wants into it this year also. I have no idea how Evero would have meshed with a defensive HC over him either. As far as the roster, Wilks is the coach that had Rosen drafted for him. There is zero reason to believe Fritterer would have changed much, that seems to be some of the issues Frank had here. It's wishful thinking really. Would some stuff have changed? Sure. Enough? I seriously doubt it. Wilks doesn't fix the ownership or front office issues, it already sent him to a 1 year HC stint. I think Johnson and Steichen had the best shots to make this team work given their specialties and even then it's hard to believe either one could overcome the mess here. I was fine with keeping Wilks but I thought and still think he would have been 1 and done given his ability and the situation.
  24. That last Wilks game was brutal. The D also got worse as his interim stint went on. It was a better culture for sure tho. I get keeping Wilks anyways but he would have been 1 and done given the rest of the issues and setup they have going on. Wilks won in the end, he got a great job that gives him a chance to showcase his ability. Rhule destroyed the culture completely and now it's the Teppers Show by default. That is to say it's a negative culture that produced this year's abomination of an attempt to win.
  25. Those same people missed a lot about Bryce that was on his school film. The fact is that the talking heads and draft experts proved their own limitations in that case. In the end there are politics and professional things going on that most fans don't get to directly see, like agents doing their thing and teams sending out smoke screen information at that time of the year. Who criticized Bryce for not doing more than a water weigh in and height measurements at the Combine? Most of what I saw was people praising his measurables and completely glossing over why he didn't or couldn't (he was retaining a lot of water at that weigh in). It should have been a red flag, smart for him for a flag for any teams, and no one raised a fuss. They actually just checked the box of big enough and went on with the 'pro-ready' shtick that also proved to be wrong. Anyone that did say something was endlessly quoted by the 'experts' that turned out to be wrong. Most of CJ's criticism was about the talent around him and the school he was coming from former QB products which is ironic because it turned out to be true for Young.
