Draft Status Update: Week 9 Edition
Waldo replied to Leeroy Jenkins Ph.D.'s topic in Carolina Panthers

Watch the less than 2 minuet clip. He says he talks with Tepper multiple times per week and that there are different kinds of ownership. Please stop making excuses for those meetings. Yes ownership gets a lot passed by them for obvious reasons but that set up that Frank describes is just flat out a meddling ownership. 'He is not going to sit idly by'. If it was working then that's one thing. It's clearly not and yet they keep doing it, even after all the PR on him being more hands off.

Draft Status Update: Week 9 Edition

They need to nail the first 3 picks IMO. IDK, it's hard to scrape together any real hope at this point. It sounds nice but that's not the way this team rolls. They are still waiting on their 2nd round pick to show up and displace Sanders while Thomas has already given enough reasons to just flat out cut him and try some PS guys since he got healthy. -

2 years in a row we are winning the race to be the worst team. Congrats, I knew they could do it -
Damn they had to move him but that's pretty bad. Another not a win for Morgan.
-
Cool, seems like a win-win. Any idea what they got for him?
-
Good. He needed to be sitting anyways and now he knows it. Such a bad look. What the hell was he thinking anyways

Whatever it takes to get to the bottom faster. It will never improve doing the crap we have since 2020. Even the things that could have worked elsewhere sinks here giving the situation.
-
It absolutely can get worse. They keep proving that over and over. Some solid steps in the right direction would be huge but that hasn't happened still.
-
While training a rookie QB they were trying to protect up by a couple of scores? That's being outclassed. DC was doing Payton's work for him. Play prevent, allow some passes underneath and keep the clock running while he leans into his D. None of that is a good thing for the Panthers on any level.

Jaycee Horn post game confrontation with Sean Payton
Waldo replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
I was a bit shocked since it was Payton. What did they say? 150 some yards in garbage time? Same old story. -
They actually ship talent off and still find more. We are at the bottom because we only do the first part. I remember times when looking down at the Jets and thinking at least we weren't them. Rogers is running that corpse and it still has one more win lol
-
Maybe. Luvu didn't want to come back and Burns was replaced has 4 sacks halfway into the year at that price. The D guys since he showed up have been unimpressive for the most part. His guys the last 2 years also hasn't been stellar. It does seem like the odd guy out but at this point I'm wondering if Dave is starting to not mind getting the boot either. It can't be a fun job on pretty much any level. There is also Caldwell as an easy target. I don't even know who would run the D, DC is having issues with the HC and OC duties might keep him around until black Friday.

Best and worst PFF grades from Panthers' Week 8 loss to Broncos
Waldo replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Thomas is such trash. They could have saved millions by not having him around anymore lol. -

He started fine as a rookie and picked up the green dot which is a lot of added responsibilities. I'm with you. I was hoping it was adjusting to the speed at this level but it's starting to look a little meh on his physical ability. I'm hopeful he can get better but that might be who he is on the field. TBD -
Jones is also the kind of owner to give Johnson the deal he is looking for but they don't have to do that at the time of the trade.
-
I'm interested in who they move more than for what. He was a good short term rental but getting anything for him is a win. Hubbard is tougher but absolutley the right move also. Just stick with Sanders and that idiotic contract they gave him and hope Brooks is decent.
-
But their not winning and he keeps doing it. That's not grasping but notating another reason it's so bad here. WTF does Tepper have to input into the process with his vast football knowledge? It's typical on big moves or high draft picks to get the owner's blessing but not a Monday morning proctologist meeting. Frank was very open about those. Please quit making excuses for people doing the worst in the NFL if it's earned and this one is easily earned. Update meeting? Go watch Frank talk about those meetings and come back saying it's till an update meeting.

Sean Payton ‘not a good offense we played..’ s Fowler
Waldo replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
HAHAHAHA. Fug Payton but that's hilarious. There isn't anybody he took a shot at that didn't deserve it so it's funny. I freaking hate being the worst team in the league. -
Jaycee Horn post game confrontation with Sean Payton
Waldo replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
They have a rookie QB who is better than Bryce but still a long ways away from running up the score. Felt like they took their foot off the gas early to me because of that. I have no idea WTF Horn is talking about. -
The fact they are still having monday morning meetings is what DC deserves for signing up for this clown show. My only question is who gets fired first because someone in that dumpster will be scapegoated soon.

It's time to flush the toilet at the end of the season. DC is 8 games in and is nowhere near ready to be a HC. He isn't even a great OC, below average really. WTF is the point of dragging this into another year? In a couple more years he will finally be ready for the job he already has. Brady needed to go somewhere good and learn more. He did. He wasn't ready when he left here so keeping those guys doesn't mean they will ripen in a situation that is steeped in failure, it means they need to go somewhere good and work their way back up. That's DC to me. I wouldn't even want him as an OC at this point.

It's the only reason to watch this game. Hopefully Andy gets well soon and we can just limp through the season but today is going to be a trainwreck. A good D and a team that's willing to run the ball is a bad catchup.
