Are they really? Anyone got links to any sources or is this just wishful thinking? I would rather have Stroud. I don't think he is the Texans problem and I think he is being wasted there. The moves they have made after his rookie year leads me to think they may be dumb enough to dump him to try and save their jobs. Even then, it shouldn't be a thing. I don't see the same situation as with the Jags with a first year HC.

What's not hard to understand? Until the end of the year we won't know who is available. A chunk of this board is hoping on Lawrence but I think that's a pipedream this offseason. We are likely looking at a trade, personally don't like that, or a swing in free agency which should be more fingers crossed than jumping with excitement type move. All the hope I can scape together is being put into this team moving on from Bryce and not having wasted year #4. Until then we might not even be taking a QB and they will just roll with the ghost of Dalton again like some belive since he is also under contract next year.

Im fine with a later drsfted QB. Not a savior but hopefully a decent backup would be killer. They need to find 2 QBs going forward IMO.
-
The only way I want Murray is on the cheap. Hell no to him on his current contract. Purdy isn't worth a trade with his contract either. In free agency on a discount? Maybe. Just a game manager. I think the Lawrence talk is just wishful thinking at this point. That teams needs more talent not less. I just don't see how they can feel confident about an upgrade with so many needy teams with worse records. They just need to find a free agent and take a swing in the draft. Lance is more interesting and more likely than those options to me personally.

I don't think the Jags ditch him yet. Their offense is slightly better than their D and both are below the average. I wish tho. I could see them trying to upgrade at WR and continuing to build out the team. They still sit at over .500 with a first year HC. They are just going to have to take a swing and make due.
-
The Colts did fine with Jones. Going to have to take a swing. It got thr Bucs Baker too. Reliable staff can find someone playable for a year. We have been watching 3 years of crap so the bar couldn't get too much lower. Mediocre would look god teir at this point
-
Lol maybe. Clausen's delivery was so low it mad this arm looks worse than it was
-
I would also like to know. When I saw this in the other thread I wished he would have had a rookie slip. Good on him calling that BS out

Dave keeping a broken Dalton around tells me it's a poo show anyways. It's just more noise from Dave

Panthers get the day off for Victory Monday

WTF is Dalton not on IR with a broken thumb on his throwing hand? Cue circus music
-
Any team watching film of the Panthers has a chance to fall asleep at the wheel like GB did. Even Olsen called it playing with your food. That and conference foes will equal another win even if it's ugly and dumb.

Where does Bryce rank on the all-time draft bust list?
Waldo replied to MRenshaw's topic in Carolina Panthers
IDK what number he is but I think top 5 fits. -
That's how you get child protective services called on Cam. You guys should be ashamed, everyone knows Cam loves the children

Dalton is lowest teir now so he has seen 3 of those tiers in his career. Bryce is a backup. If he was taken in the 3rd, what he was worth on draft day with hindsight, he would be a backup/jag but his drafted position and that trade makes it a bust situation for the team. He just doesn't have enough ability to be a true game manager IMO so he stays in cat 4 of those rankings.
-
Bryce's approach to the game is the same he had to the combine. Do as little as possible without exposing his weaknesses. Clausen is 6'3" so he could see the field Bryce can't so there are throws he could make that Bryce would have to throw blindly. Clausen was also not very bright so he doesn't play scared. Literally his only win they ran it 18 times and didn't throw once to close out the game. That was his best game lol. Even a turd can shine in the right light. So here is the other side of the highlights

Just add functional QB play. I just don't think DC has much more than hovering around .500 at best. He takes a lot of the wind out of his own sails in games, doesn't adjust well and seems to be more concerned with promoting himself vs improving his skills.
-
Canales is a wet noodle. If he had the backbone to demand a legitimate #2 we would already have a 'serviceable QB' on the team. He was more than happy to come into the year with Dalton and Plumber? this year. Either he thought any of that was serviceable or he didn't care. Dude is friends with his GM and still couldn't get 1 playable backup at QB. There are reasons why one of those coaches is trending in the right direction and the other is going from .500 to talking about if there should be a year 3 soon.

All noise and no substance
-
He is meh, functional meh. Could be worse but I'm not expecting much better. If he was handed a stacked team he would become the weakest link. At least he is NFL meh. That's all the positivity I can scrape together for DC.

It was the worst D choking on Rico's revenge. 'Playing well' behind that was just not making mistakes. It's a gift and allowed him to get his QBR to a whopping 53.1 and the only player with over 50 yards receiving was...Rico. A sub 200 yard game agaisnt one of the worst Ds with the RB going off like crazy. That's nuts lol
-
Playing at his best when the RB has over 200 yards lol. Yeah that tracks
-
No he didn't and he never did. Bryce is who Clausen thought he was. Clausen just threw the balls Bryce won't because he was also dumber with nothing to lose without that first overall paycheck. Clausen had the worst arm I have ever seen and tiny hands to boot. Bryce is just your typical NFL bust level talent without the hunger or need to earn a roster spot...yet
-
Same crap different year. If Bryce isn't playing at his worst, which is actually difficult due to how bad that was, those people will keep hoping. His improvement got him to 'should be replaced soon' backup level but if you keep looking at where he came from then there is some kind of sad hope he isn't at his ceiling already. I doubt his crew will really turn on him but just say shucks when the team finally dumps his arse. Waiting on the blind to see is a lot like waiting on Bryce to turn into a decent starter.
-
True but it's built as a rushing first team. What is maxed out is trying to hide Bryce's issues behind that fact. Address that or it's not going to matter. I don't think the team has caught up to that fact yet. The fact Dalton hasn't been IRed yet proves that to me. IR Dalton (functionally useless and that's not from the broken thumb) and figure out who is the new #2 who should absolutely be seeing reps sooner than later.
