  1. One 1st and 3 2nds should have ended up with a QB and a DE at the minimum in that situation. Hell that's without touching the future first. Add in cap savings and throw in a FA QB and Dlineman. CmC was a good trade, I hate his dead cap next season more than anything. I want to see a drafted QB and a vet who is cheap warm body with very low expectations. No big trades and no large FA QB contracts would be a solid try for me. I agree about the TEs being valued more, I'm not happy with that room either.
  2. He is probably trying to leverage going back to the NFL against the NCAA to avoid any disciplinary actions...
  3. I need to see Chinn under new management before I can believe he can't return to his rookie year. SS or Lber, the FS BS needs to end and Woods isn't good enough to hold that spot so we need to do somethings to clean up the safety positions. Jackson had a disappointing year for a guy who signed his big contract. Thomas is still not good. Henderson is still disappointing. Horn is still not healthy. YGM is a ghost usually who disappoints. CMC only had 393 rush yards when traded, 65.5 per game, that was disappointing. RA was RA so disappointment is his middle name. Baker played his worst ever here, well below limited expectations. There are some passes due to poor coaching and poor management but that doesn't completely alleviate the disappointment left after this year. I hope everyone comes into next year fired up and ready to turn it around.
  4. What is even funnier is Harbaugh could walk after his first year after he leverages a new job back in school. I'm not sold yet and would take an offensive guy like McDaniels myself if possible.
  5. I hate Ross so this is just wonderful for everyone not a Phins fan. Getting mad at him at .500 in his first year with another coach's QB? They don't deserve him.
  6. Pretty much me. Pederson isn't a bad coach but I could never trust him and absolutely think he will fug up in Jax even in another division as bad as ours. Reich isn't as successful or as good as the other two, he is my 'at least he is on the offensive side' settle meh coach. Harbaugh looks a lot more volatile then many admit but he has had success. It also helps that others were huge issues in SF at that time, ownership and GM come to mind, but he still isn't a guaranteed success just like any other potential candidate. JH's personality is what I kind of feared about any 1st time HC, very talented but also a pain in the arse (just ask Michigan where he is always 1 foot out the door in the most public way lol).
  7. I could not remember, just that a lot of people hated him. Sounds interesting if Tepper goes that way.
  8. Cool, I hope they don't get what they want but I do get wanting the boss you like after having Rhule pulling his BS. Would Harbaugh be a good fit going from the guy the players want to him? Just asking. He seems to have a strong personality but I can't remember the players in SF being part of his issues there.
  9. People not liking Smith? No way! lol It is absolutely the reason he isn't going in over some of the other competition.
  10. Make this season end and hire a good coach. We all need it as Panther fans
  11. I wish I could say I don't belive this but I do. It's a great indicator of who to block and ignore in life.
  12. Kaps teams went 2-6 and 1-10 with under .60 completions his last 2 years. What 6 TDs and 5 Ints the 2nd to last year? I personally think it's both his play and the FU by a large portion of the poplulation, not just teams. He didn't look like a great option to start and that had a lot to do with it because he wouldn't take a non-starter job. The entire situation is a case study on how to fug up on every level possible. He got blackballed but he also made himself vulnerable and his enemies jumped all over it like who they absolutely are.
  13. Peppers. He also put in years with GB and Chicago. He will be the first Panther inducted. And it might just be why Smith is being made to wait. Sports is funny like that.
  14. Players can be nominated by anyone and the HOF committee, all media people from the various NFL cities, elects the finalist...it's almost like some media people don't like Smith. I have no idea why... This process is 100% subjective so we can drop the fair conversation because it really has no place in the HOF equation. SB wins matter, being respected by the media is necessary and stats are not the deciding factor in getting in. To me it looks like being respected and well-liked are the top factors to getting in. Sound familiar?
  15. There have been some crazy numbers thrown around for his contract. I really disliked the 'getting paid for what I did yesterday' stuff. I wouldn't even have a problem asking him to play on his 5th year option. 7 sacks, 2 9 sack season and this year is 12.5? That is not top contract numbers and 7 total FFs where Hasaan has 5 just this year? Pay the man fine but let's not be ridiculous about it.
  16. If it goes poorly the question is with what RB? Keep Burns or trade him, the coaching is priority # 1. Giants are in the playoffs lol.
  17. The only real reason to not trade Burns for that package is because it would have looked awful in regards to Wilks being able to have a legitimate year. CMC and RA all made sense and were great moves. Trading Burns would have looked bad. We can still trade him. Whatever but if he signs a giant new deal then expectations change real fast.
  18. Ron also didn't know he would be eliminated if he lost this past weekend and then clarified that "he thought they would win and only focused on what would happen if they won." so no surprises here other than how great of a teammate and person Heinicke is. I have no idea how Howell plays but it would have to be awful to not have given him more time considering the situation for them this year.
  19. It literally takes another QB to get Ron to do what he should have already done...
  20. I like and respect your skepticism but I think Steichen looks like a great candidate and his work stands up to scrutiny. If there is a problem with him I can't see it. I would rather take a chance on him over JH who wants absolute control when his offense was what kept him from a SB. No guarantees but I'll take the coach that made 3 QBS look their best over the rest as it stands now.
