Omg I was making a skillset comparison and made some observations how they're similar beyond that, which were all true. He could absolutely go ahead of Fields
-
You're basing that on internet mock drafts when the draft always surprises people lol what do
-
He's got elite tools and guys much worse than him have gone in the first round, also his film shows that talent that has him on every scouts radar. He's getting drafted high, risky or not
-
I'm not planning anything lol I'm saying you guys always get surprised by draft day and the reason is the way you're talking right now lol
-
You guys are also arguing that teams will just draft rationally the same way you do, and that never happens. See Henry Ruggs going over Ceedee and JJ, that Titans guard who just left the team going in the first round at all C'mon now
-
NDSU doesnt lose bc they recruit players like him lol They have three dudes who will go in the first two rounds, that's not a knock against him in any way, it's more proof Talent gets you drafted high, that's not a debate
-
Yes you can, he's played at a lower level of competition, he runs and throws with talent, and might need a year to sit like McNair. The comparison is totally fair. You're arguing legacy over experience, which is fair too
-
No doubt some team has Lance over Fields, it's a typical NFL move
-
Also teams have preferences and draft according to scheme fit, like the Raiders with both of their firsts last year. Ceedee Lamb was a top ten player and fell to Dallas, Jordan Love got horribly overdrafted etc
-
Last year history happened when we took all defensive players, teams are trading for QBs more than ever, nothing is a stretch at this point Ms Cleo (kidding)
-
If Deshaun met with them at all it's it's prove that he's serious about wanting out. He's not playing for them again
-
He gone lol
-
Like that's wishful thinking, no disrespect intended. Trey Lance is a 20 year old Steve McNair clone and in 2019 he trey 28 tds to 0 picks. He's not lasting to 8, not when Jordan fugging Love goes in the first round. This year he played one game, that's not gonna count against him to arrogant nfl scouts
-
No he isn't lol
-
Fields or Lance would go Number 1 in 2021 draft no questions asked, people are just claiming to not want Fields bc they're helmet scouting and letting sports media do their opinions for them
-
Different teams view different players differently, both of these dudes are solid in Joe Brady's scheme

Orlando Brown Trade Value to the Panthers
ImaginaryKev replied to Leotiger's topic in Carolina Panthers
This draft is set up for us to fix the Oline anyway, if we repeat what we did with the defense last year (likely since they coached the Senior Bowl) we don't need to trade for this guy. Stop being so needy, yall, being negative is not a personality -

Do not want, he's in for a rude awakening if you put him on a team NOT worried about Jackson running -
Fields is an accurate McNabb or Dak on HGH. He'd be good here with Joe Brady

Kiper Mock 2.0: Mac Jones to Panthers at #8.
ImaginaryKev replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
We have no idea how teams rate these guys, it's always a crapshoot and we're all gonna be surprised come draft day the order these players get selected. Literally happens every year which makes people quoting draft rankings doubly lame in this forum considering they're always wrong (not you, general observation of goofies on here). I don't know what's gonna happen but if we're doing comps Lance is a Josh Allen, Steven McNair kinda talent and Fields is super soldier serum Dak. Both of those types are perfect for this team and today's NFL and we have the coaching staff to make em both look, good, so I don't understand why people are so scared scared roll the dice. Watson is the dream deal for us, for economic and team reasons but if we can't get him we should he targeting one of these two guy. Imo. -

This, the top four guys all bring traits and talent to the table, after that everyone is a great backup prospect
