Rams Offering Two (Future) Firsts for Burns
ImaginaryKev replied to OnlyPantherFaninMaine's topic in Carolina Panthers
The fact that a team like Rams, who rely heavily on star power over high draft picks, offered two firsts for Burns is proof we should not trade Burns. I mean it says something that all these teams seem to be interested in our best players, might be a good idea to keep them since you need good players to support a QB like Bryce Young -
Tank season back on: #2 Pick in the draft currently
ImaginaryKev replied to Varking's topic in Carolina Panthers
I absolutely hope Bryce Young' size causes him to slip in the draft so we can land him regardless of record "Size concerns" LOL Some of yall are forgetting that the two most iconic players in franchise history were size outliers lol Bryce Young is a perfect fit here -
You see it, right???
-
You can if you actually watch the games and can recognize talent. Tmj is better than Robbie
-
He's a clear upgrade too. He needs time to adjust to the nfl game.
-
He's clearly talented and only was on the bench bc of the former fired head coach. Come on.
-
I absolutely LOVED the fact they were giving Terrace one on one X receiver reps today. He wasn't able to haul them in, bc he's young as hell, but that poo is gonna pay off eventually bc he's a young talented dude

Marshall is a legit first round talent (in the DJ Moore range), it would behoove us all to be patient with him. Bozeman is a good player who the Ravens only let walk bc good teams like the Ravens have to make hard decisions salary cap wise. He's worth extending bc he's a very good player. He and his wife are also GREAT community folks and good people.

They're both keepers.

Robbie was catching all these short passes that year when it should've been DJ and people on this board really thought Robbie was a better player than DJ Moore. Crazy
-
I was wrong about Robbie, he was a bum. He should've always been a designated deep threat, that's his role. Joe Brady made everyone think he was something he wasn't that first year when he was pumping Robbie all of DJs targets.

For those that need to see it in black and white:

I don't know man, I was already a DJ truther before today, this just confirms everything I've thought about him. He makes sick catches and he CARES. AND he takes responsibility for his actions. Steve Smith never did that. Love DJ Moore. -

Oh so he's a high character stand up guy? Confirms it. DJ is one of the best first round draft picks for this team in recent memory. He also sees the big picture and knows this team needs to lose to secure a qb. Give him another contract extension. -

Panthers lost bc of a fluke Pick 6 and the kicker not making field goals DJ is a foundational player End of story -
I do get it bc they needed him in the secondary his second year, but we all see intuitively and with our eyes that he's a better player going forward, attacking using his athleticism, than he is in coverage. His versatility is still a plus bc he can play coverage and not loot terrible but that's not his best role. He's basically the same thing draft folks wanted in Isaiah simmons. And that's CRAZY bc this team has Derrick Brown AND CJ Henderson on the roster, all of whom were talked about as the 7th overall pick that year. I'm cool with him staying at safety bc he's a young smart player but man, the thought of him at LB is intoxicating.
-
Think about how much speed and coverage ability this defense would have next year with Chinn, who's basically a more affordable Isiah Simmons, at LB. You draft another coverage safety in the middle rounds and the defense looks great.
-
Lot of LBs today play at like 220, like Fred Warner and Shaq Leonard. He's actually perfect for the role
-
Let's be honest. DJ doesn't deserve this.

Bruce might be a HOF too lol This clown -
BC Shaq is the WLB and it'd be great to get rid of his contract before the deadline. Also might need to free up number 7 for the rookie QB. Nice.
-
My Chinn at LB agenda is coming to fruition
-
Oh. So yall agree Chinn would make a great Shaq Thompson replacement going forward????
-
He played the same position as Urlacher did in college and has the same sort of range. Also, these days LBs don't need to be 250lbs. He'd be a better version of Falcons LB Deon Jones
-
That was probably the most egregious Rhule roster fug up. I understand him not playing due to that training camp injury but he was clearly the guy the GM signed to play C. And rhule ignored him. Rhule also thought that Shi Smith playing well in preseason meant he was....better or more talented than your second round pick at WR, Marshall? Rhule is a respectable college coach. Not the train wreck that Urban was, but he's not made for this league. It's a step above his pay grade. He'll do great in college but he didn't take advantage of the personnel here which is above average outside of QB and it shows with Wilks.
-
My galaxy brained take is Chinn would make a great MLB
-
Both of those dudes are talented and need reps. Glad we moved Robbie to get TMJ more reps, he didn't haul in some of those passes today but the talent is OBVIOUS. I'm not worried about Tremble at all, it usually takes TE a while to adjust to the league. He's gonna be good also bc he had physical talent and you always bank on that. Very excited to see what Stroud/Levis/Bryce/Hooker can do with these skill guys next year.
